The Taste of Two Continents food tour begins in Istanbul’s Old City. There, we meet to begin our tour in the heart of Eminönü, close to Spice Market.

Stop At: Misir Carsisi (Spice Market), Rustem Pasa Mahallesi, Erzak Ambari Sok. No:92 Eminonu - Fatih, Istanbul 34116 Turkey

Market Sourced Turkish Breakfast: Visit a breakfast market in the morning and gather an assortment of Turkish breakfast items, including cheeses, buffalo cream, hazelnut paste, honey, olives, dried beef pastrami, simit, and enjoy it all with traditional Turkish tea & menemen (Turkish scrambled eggs) at a local tea house. Listen to your guide’s entertaining & interesting stories about culture and daily life in Turkey while wondering if this could be your favorite breakfast ever.

Stop At: Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul 34122 Turkey

Cross the mighty Bosphorus by ferry to explore the more modern and chic area of Kadıköy, on the Asian side. Kadıköy is home to some of the best local restaurants in Istanbul, frequented a new generation of Turks who love to dine out, while still savouring the flavours of their childhood.

Stop At: Kadikoy Carsisi, Caferaga Mahallesi Kadikoy, Istanbul Turkey

We will eat at 8 different restaurants & food shops in Kadıköy. Sip on freshly brewed Turkish coffee while enjoying locally-made baklava. Taste delicious dolma, tantuni and kokoreç, as well as other favorite foods of the locals. Finally, finish your day with the cool, refreshing flavours of the best Turkish dondurma (ice-cream) in Moda.

Stop At: Kadikoy Iskelesi, Kadikoy, Istanbul Turkey

The Taste of Two Continents tour finishes in Kadıköy Ferry Terminal. Your return ferry tickets are provided. Your guide will help you to catch the Eminönü ferry (back to the Spice Market) or Karaköy ferry.

What a great way to start our time in Istanbul. Abraham was an amazing guide and host! We explored the European/Old Town area and Kadikoy/Asian Side. Great way to learn about both the culture and the food of Turkey. Highly recommend this tour.

Very well organised and detailed food tour with knowledgeable local guide. Lot of walking to do so you need to be fit (helps to get the food down). Highlight for me was the home of the original Iskender kebap and the street mussels
