    A fantastic day In Istanbul
I had only one day In Istanbul and it was incredible thanks to my guide, Cenk Akbostanci. Cenk was incredibly knowledgeable and guided me through the bustling streets of Istanbul and used a combination of buses, taxis and a ferry ride to get me to 6 historical sites —All in one day! And the kicker is that Cenk is a Stamboli so spending time with him is experiencing Istanbul with its bright colors and hospitality of a proud son who navigates its street like a mayor walks his city.

Absolutely amazing day with the family. Imran, our guide has become an extended part of the family through his personal attention to make sure we get the most out of our day. Fantastic scenery and amazing history. Imran is well recommended to anyone wanting to organise a tour whilst in Istanbul/Turkey. Great command of English as well, which makes a big difference. Thank you so much for such a special day to Travelium and especially Imran :-) very happy!

When in Rome,do as the Romans do. When in Istanbul, explore the city with Cenk Akbostanci as your trusted guide.
What Cenk doesn't know about the city and its people, is not worth mentioning. Cenk's command of English is impeccable. Be sure to share your interests and be sure to bring along your curiousity. You will be in safe hands exploring the official sites and events as well as the "off broadway" scenes, merchants, cafes, alleys and mosques. Decent pricing and honest dealing with locals tradesmen and businesses. Cenk Akbostanci made our brief visit to Istanbul the highlight of the year We'll be back.

Great tour guide Cenk "Jack" Akbostanci in Istanbul
I visited Istanbul for the first time in July 2019 and fell in love with the amazing city, thanks to my great tour guide Cenk Akbostanci! He coordinated a very efficient itinerary for the day covering all the historical and cultural places which were on my wish list to visit, and added some of the charming shops for Islamic tiles and true Turkish carpets and a local Kebab restaurant for lunch which I would never have been able to find without him. He was very knowledgeable in every historical, religious, and cultural sites, and seemed to know all about the city and many people, so everything went very smooth during the tour. He ensured that I were happy and enjoying the tour at all times, making the day very special and memorable. I strongly recommend Cenk for as an amazing tour guide for Istanbul.

Cenk Akbostanci - when a guide is like family
Cenk was highly recommended to me by a good friend. She was spot on. It felt like I spent 3 days with a friend who was showing me his hometown! He knew SO much about the various sights and religious history of all the places I saw, but also took me to some great non-touristy sights which gave me a real flavor of Istanbul. Even when i spent a day on my own, he gave me a big written list of places to see, how to get there and where to eat! He didn’t push shopping on me, but when I asked told him I wanted to look for spices or scarves, he took me to some great places but never pressured me to buy anything. I have since sent another friend and her family to Cenk and they too had a wonderful time. I look forward to my next trip to Turkey and catching up with Cenk!

    Knowledgeable and friendly guide (Cenk)!
We had an amazing private day tour of Istanbul with Cenk as our guide. We managed to pack in all of the major historical and religious sites while learning about each one in extreme detail. Cenk was so knowledgeable about each place and knows every place in the city with ease, providing recommendations for dinner and other places we might want to see the following days.

Look no further for a guide- Jake Cenk Akbostanci
Don’t bother looking further!!! Jake is the perfect Istanbul guide. From our hotel were lucky to be teamed up with Jake (Cenk). We were a small family group with a young child so safely was very important as well as seeing the sights. We loved seeing Agia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar. Jake negotiated prices for us at better rates - we bought ceramics, Turkish costumes and hand bags. We also stopped for a lunch break. Jake ensured that at at all times we were happy, enjoying the tour and safe. I especially appreciated when we were in a crowd Jake picking up my daughter and putting her in his shoulders!!! I highly recommend Jake’s tour guide services - JUST BOOK HIM!

    Amazing Tour Guide- Cenk Akbostanci
Istanbul has becomes one of our fav cities to visit thanks to your amazing our guide on our 1st visit in 2015 with Cenk Akbostanci. He is super knowledgeable about the history, very friendly and a true Turkish local that knows all the cool spots to take you. He has since become our bro and every time we visit Istanbul, Cenk is our 1st port of call. He arranged for us a free ride to the airport, introduced us to his local friends, introduced us to the delicious Salep (hot milk drink) during winter, book stores, beautiful Islamic arts calligraphy store and even bought us a free Turkish lunch and Kahve (Turkish coffee). Cenk definitely made our 1st and subsequent visits very memorable. We highly recommend Cenk as a tour guide

Cenk Akbostanci has been an amazing guide !
If you plan to travel to Istanbul, I really advise you to have a tour with Cenk Akbostanci. He is a very nice guide, really involved in your trip, taking care of you like his own family. He knows the city by heart and has very good offers in shops and restaurants. We spent a very good time with him, my parents and me, during our stay. He brought us to typical places that we won’t be able to know without him. Visiting the Grand Bazaar, making shopping in very special shops, eating a tasty meal on the Asian side and trying the famous Turkish coffee. It was an authentic and magical experience that we cherish as a very good memory. I couldn’t choose the right date to post this comment but it was in 2014 and we still in contact with Cenk, so it would be crazy for us to go back to Istanbul without seeing him ! We enjoyed this city so much, that we would be really glad to go there again. Don’t hesitate and just go... but with Cenk of course ! ;-)
