About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- xoxo_belle_xoxo0 contributionsRan seamlessly, worth every penny.Booked on getyourguide for safari in eco park the evening before and I got a WhatsApp confirming my booking shortly after! They picked us up from our accomodation on time and were friendly and informative throughout the safari!! We saw lots of elephants and then they dropped us off at our accomodation after the safari! All ran seamlessly! And much cheaper than we were being quoted when asking people around the area!! ThanksWritten 18 March 2025
- ceciler8880 contributionsProfessional and friendly serviceThe team was very flexible and arranged the transfer at short notice. Service was very professional and reliable. Highly recommended.Written 17 March 2025
- markandt20250 contributionsScenic Train DelightScenic 4 hour train ride through the hilly area of Sri Lanka, doors left open at the end of the carriages to allow unimpeded views of the countryside, they would have a fit in the UK! We travelled 1st class (air conditioned) the whole train seemed busy so book in advance.Written 16 March 2025
- larinag20220 contributionsGreat tour!Really good tour. The guide/driver was really nice and experienced. We saw pretty much every animal you can see there (exept leopards, they are hard to spot) Thank you!Written 13 March 2025
- Kevin R0 contributionsGreat car transfer between Kandy and Anuradhapura.I have mostly used the train traveling around Sri Lanka but the trip between Kandy and Anuradhapura (with connection) would have used up a valuable day. Lakpura arranged a driver who made the trip in 3 hrs (very safe driving) with hotel to hotel pick up and drop off. Cost-efficient and professional. Lakpura provides the driver ID so you know you’re getting in the right car. I highly recommend Lakpura for your Sri Lanka travel needs.Written 13 March 2025
- Yvonne R0 contributionsA wonderful afternoonWe had a wonderful safari seeing many many beautiful birds as well as elephants, crocodiles, water buffalo, deer and wild pigs. Our driver Darmasiri was very friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job to make sure our trip was great. He arrived on time and ensured we saw the sunset over the lake too. One of our best times in Sri LankaWritten 12 March 2025
- C4027TCdavidk0 contributionsBest trainride everThe trainride is definitely worth it and a must-do if you visit Sri Lanka. We had reserved 2nd class tickets. The doors were opened regularly to make instragrammable pictures.Written 12 March 2025
- adsheaff0 contributionsRecommend!Highly recommend booking this transportation option. It was a seamless experience with a kind, safe, and efficient driver!Written 12 March 2025
- kawhis0 contributionsPerfect servicePerfect service, the driver was already at the airport and he help me to find the transfer for the next day with the same company, also Hansika was really kind and helpful so I think if you want to go in Sri Lanka you can ask help at Lakpura.Written 11 March 2025
- Austin M0 contributionsSolid driving serviceGreat service. The assigned driver was on time (even a bit early), and made my transit back to the airport easy and seamless.Written 11 March 2025
- ceciler8880 contributionsFull-day safari at WasgamuwaGreat place to observe wildlife, from birds to elephants and crocodiles. Very professional driver who pointed out birds and other animals. Communication about lunch could have been better handled but knowing the region we anticipated and brought our own snacks.Written 11 March 2025
- C4027TCdavidk0 contributionsRelaxed TransferThe organisation and the transfer itself went really smooth. Our driver picked us up at the airport in time. On arrival he gave US enough am SIM Card and to withdraw money at the ATM. During the drive, he stopped for example as we asked for buying water.Written 10 March 2025
- joshjQ8982TI0 contributionsResponsive and reliable transfer serviceWe used this company to arrange a few transfers during our travels around Sri Lanka. We spoke with Hansika over WhatsApp to arrange pickup and drop off locations and to even pay online prior to the transfer. They would respond almost immediately and we felt very confident that they would be on time and in the right location. Would recommend using them for your transfers around Sri Lanka.Written 10 March 2025
- petergY9057JV0 contributionsBuyer be Aware - a confirmed booking does not mean you will get your train ticketsWe booked this trip for 2 pax in reserved seating in second class prior to our trip to Sri Lanka. Despite the booking being paid for and confirmed, a number of weeks later they asked for additional information to purchase the tickets. When this was further explored, despite confirming the booking they did not have tickets and then were not able to get them stating the train trip is popular. They then tried to sell tickets to a later train for the same price.Written 8 March 2025
- Jan21030 contributionsExcellent serviceExcellent service. Driver was on time he was very polite and the car was clean and tidy. Highly recommend using this transfer companyWritten 8 March 2025

We arranged for an extended 17 day Small Miracle tour through Felician, starting in Negombo and ending in Colombo. We were provided a driver and separate guide for the entire trip, both of who did a great job. Felician stayed in contact with me throughout the trip through my mobile phone and was able to address any concerns that we had.
In hind sight we would have liked to have stayed in some of the places for an extra night and scale back on the agenda but this was not a fault of Felician or Lakpura, we had agreed to the agenda long before we came to Sri Lanka.
When we look back at this trip, almost three weeks after getting back home, we have so many good memories of Sri Lanka and I can recommend Felician and Lakpura for any future travel plans to Sri Lanka.

We had a wonderful time on a 16 day tour around Sri Lanka. We organised through Felician to have an extra day in Negombo at the start of our tour and to also travel by train from Nanu-Oya Railway Station to Ella.
Our driver, Lasith was there to meet us when we arrived and provided a wonderful 16 days touring.
In Negombo we toured the fish markets and a tuk tuk city tour. Anuradhapura and Sru Maha Bodhi were interesting, with the day being very hot. Onto Dambulla and Sigiriya - you must climb Sigiriya - Lasith was with us both the whole way.
Polonnaruwa and Minneriya were wonderful, with Minneriya and the elephants being one of the highlights of our trip.
I was looking forward to Kand and Nuwara Eliya, but was disappointed by the crowds (it was Sri Lankan New Year) and the hustle and bustle of the towns. Tuk tuks and cars everywhere. Our itinerary mentioned walking though the streets with their pretty little cottages, quaint villas and beautiful mansions - didn't see many of these. We did a Horton Plains walk, and although Horton Plains is only 29km from Nuwara Eliya, be prepared for a 1.5 to 2 hour drive due to traffic.
Onto Yala where we did a half day safari (along with 350 other jeeps). It was then rest time in Hikkaduwa where we had a wonderful stay at the Hikka Tranz. Unfortunately, during our stay, the suicide bombings took place, so we were restricted to our hotel for a day, and on reaching Colombo our city tour was cancelled due to security concerns.
During this time, Felician was checking on us and ensuring that everyone was okay.
I can't recommend Lakpura highly enough. Felician answered all my questions, and even when things didn't go to plan (such as not being able to get a seat on the train), Lasith did try his best to get us a seat.
We had the pleasure of meeting Lasiths family on our way to Colombo and in Colombo, we caught up with Felician.
I must mention that entrance costs are not included in these tours, so remember to have sufficient funds to cover these costs. It was also a surprise to find that the entrance costs provided before our trip, weren't always the same cost at the site we were visiting.
You will have the choice of 3 or 4* hotels - I suggest 4* as there is a big difference between 3 & 4*.
Both Felician and Lasith were great and come highly recommended.
Overall a great trip with Lakpura.
