Amazing Service!
Chamika picked myself, my wife and three small children up from our hotel, he was half an hour early and the car was spotlessly clean, with free water, free wifi and he was very polite and accommodating. He was very knowledgable and pointed out many local landmarks making the trip interesting and great fun. He did such a good job we booked his company for a 6 day tour to our next destination. Really nice people, great service and a 5 star service. Nothing was too much trouble. If I was ever back here, I wouldn't use any other company for tours and transport.

AMAZING! Highly recommend this trip!
Booked this trip with my best friend as we love animals and really wanted to see the baby turtles at the sanctuary and hatchery! The day was absolutely flawlessly planned and went on with out a hitch. Our guide and driver, Chamika, picked us up at 7am from our hotel and provided a cool box of water and WiFi in his very comfortable air conditioned van. Through out the journey he pointed out things of interest and taught us about different types of tea in Sri Lanka. He was very friendly and informative and talked about each place we went to and the trip was very flexible to let us decide what we would like to do and how long to stay at each place. The Turtle Sanctuary was the highlight for me! It was fantastic and the turtles were so cute and tiny! Great value for money! I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a leisurely day of activity and site seeing in Galle, Sri Lanka!

Amazing!!!
Had an incredible day on this tour today!! Chamika was a perfect host; he was on time, informative and extremely accommodating towards our needs throughout the day. We had entry to all attractions and tour guides for each stop, and if we didn’t have a guide Chamika was able to fill in all the details. The view we had a lunch was just beautiful, and the menu was varied and therefore catered for all palates. Honestly couldn’t recommend this tour company more! Thank you again, we had an amazing day :)

Great shore excursion
We used Sanota Walkers for our shore excursion arriving on Celebrity Constellation. Arranging the tour was easy, great communication & we were met on the pier next to the ship; in fact our driver was holding a sign with our name at the side of the gangway. Our driver/guide was Indika; his English was very good, he was very knowledgeable, a good driver & very polite. The vehicle was comfortable & we could control the air conditioning and help ourselves to bottled water. We drove by or visited all of the sites we wanted to & the included lunch was a Sri Lankan buffet - drinks at own expense. We were back on the pier in plenty of time. We would definitely recommend Sanota Walkers.

Fantastic Private Tour with Driver
We have just returned from a wonderful 13 day tour of Sir Lanka. We sent our itinerary/wish-list with dates several months ago to Sanota Walkers. They organised everything from airport transfers, accommodation and entry tickets. The communication was just as wonderful from the time we first made contact. The complete tour went without a hitch and our driver, Kassun, was pleasant, always on time and very keen to make sure we were happy. When you prepare your tour make sure you include everything you want to see; Sanota Walkers are happy to make changes as you go when possible but did not make any suggestions when we presented our itinerary to them. Overall, we would recommend their services.

Anuradhapura a must in Sri Lanka
It can take five hours to reach the old city from Colombo Katunayaka. It can be tiring. The old city tour costing US$ 25 per day per person, requires extensive walking, taking of shoes at Buddhist temples, and being in hot weather. You need at least 5/6 hours to get a feel of this ancient city of 2000 years BC onward. Moonstone, The tree under which Buddha received enlightenment, (branch brought from India), many Stupas made by successive kings, old dwellings, - all cast a magical spell on the traveler. You can find drinks, food in kiosks clusters, as also wash rooms. Stay a night there and relax ; do not rush back ; you'll break yr back!

Worth the $$
Overall the tour was very well organized and we got the maximum bang for our buck. Stopped at the Elephant orphanage, tea plantation, spice garden and finally, Tooth Relic temple in Kandy. Enjoyed every bit of it. But it is a bit much to do in one day especially if you have kids and/or senior citizens travelling with you. Will totally recommend.

A very great countryside with delicious food
The Galle tour was great and we spent a full day on the tour. We hired a private taxi and the driver took us from the old highway, along the coast and from the expressway on the way back. Galle is a beautiful Dutch Town with traditional Dutch layout. A lot of street vendors selling crabs, prawns etc. We had street food only and enjoyed Sri Lankan Thali Meal on the way.

Fantastic trip - would recommend
I visited Sri Lanka in January 2019 and booked the Galle Full Day Tour with this company. The tour guide was excellent. He was perfectly on time, spoke good English and was extremely knowledgeable. He also arranged an extra stop for us at a local fish market and also a mine which was all fantastic! The tour overran a bit but he didn't mind at all. I also really liked that he guided us and spoke to us enough - but also left us to our own devices as well at times. We found other tour guides would come and sit with you at lunch/breakfast etc and whilst in theory this is a nice idea - I actually just wanted to sit and have lunch with my husband sometimes (not make small talk with a guide). Our tour guide got the amounts of each spot on! Chatting enough that we were plied with information but also knew when to let us sit in silence in the car or to back off and let us have some alone time. Everything on this tour was fantastic and so worth seeing! HOWEVER, my only grumble and the reason that this is not getting 5 stars is as follows...The Spice Garden! My husband and I had done a day trip to Kandy the day before and had visited a Spice Garden then. We said as such to our driver who said it would be worth visiting this one too as they might have some things the other one didn't - fine. We get there and the person who greeted us at the Spice Garden was visibly annoyed having already been told we had been to one yesterday. One of the first things we are asked is if we are going to buy anything...to which we respond no as we made purchases yesterday. He then declares that he won't show us around as its a waste of his time and ours (which I do kind of understand to an extent but it very much seemed that his true issue was that we weren't going to spend any money there so therefore they couldn't be bothered to give us the time of day). He then states that he can offer us a massage each - which we accept as otherwise this would have been a completely wasted journey. We each get a massage for a few minutes before being openly asked for a tip from each of us for the massage and suggesting USD10 or USD 5 dollars! We ended up leaving having PAID for a short massage and not being shown anything or having any sort of experience at all. Fortunately, our guide did stop at a mine in addition to the original itinerary so we didn't feel too cheated. I think the Spice Garden need to be reminded that the TOUR is part of the experience of this trip - its not a case that if you aren't going to buy anything they don't have to show you anything. Other than that this trip was fantastic - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Very good
We were a group of 16 sailing on Celebrity Constellation and Colombo was a port day for us on January 15. Booking a 6 hour day tour, which included a buffet lunch with Sanota Walkers was a breeze. One glitch, we left home on New Year’s Day and we did not buy a foreign data plan when we started our trip In Dubai. The tour company emailed me the pick up location after we left home. Since we had limited internet, there was miscommunication on the pick up location when we docked in Colombo. As a result we started the tour about one hour late. Selna was our guide, he was very professional and apologized on behalf of the Company. He said in order to make up time we could skip the lunch. Or we could continue with the six hour tour and end it one hour after the originally scheduled time. We chose to extend the tour as we still had plenty of time to get back to the ship. January 15 was a national holiday is Sri Lanka, so the street wasn’t jammed with traffic. However, most of the shops were closed. We booked a city tour with photo stops at the lotus tower, the Mosque, Independence Square, City Hall and we made a stop at a Hindi Temple. Our last stop was at the beach to take pictures of the sunset over the Ocean. We wanted to buy tea, so Selna took us to an overpriced souvenir shop, that sold tea and jewelry. This shop was full of tourist, Didn’t buy anything there and asked that Selna take us to another shop to buy tea. We all wanted Sri Lankan tea to take home as gifts. So we made a stop at a grocery store just to buy tea, which was half the price of the overpriced shop. The buffet lunch was at Raja Bujun which was excellent as well. Overall very good, would have given Sanota Walker a five out of five if it wasn’t for the late notice on the pick up location.
