      Great cooking experience
Accompanied by the chef, we started with a trip to the market to purchase all the ingredients for our 3 course meal. Then back to the hotel kitchen where the chef showed us each step for the dessert course which we then re-created under her watchful eye. This then cooled while we made our salad entree after watching the chef again. Next we made our chicken curries. While they were cooking we ate our salad. Every course was so easy to make and so tasty. We were given recipes and certificates! And we left, convinced we could re-create at home!

They even gave us the receipes
The cooking class was superb and we had a lot of fun. The food was delicious as well and the instructors were very patient in their explanation. They even gave us the receipes in a hard copy form so that we can replicate at home, as well as a certificate for completion. Very well done!

Cambodian cooking class, no problem if you are gluten intolerant.
I attended this cooking class in January 2024, first they gave us a list of ingredients and a staff attender assisted us to the market to buy the necessarily ingredients. Basically, we bought chicken, vegetables, rice noodles and rice paper etc. Being gluten intolerant was a joy for me since the ingredients for the spring rolls and the curry were rice based so I could eat nearly anything being prepared. Would highly recommend to anyone who wishes to learn to cook some basic Cambodian cuisine.

      Best Khmer food
Very good and interactive experience started off with food shopping at a nearby market with one of the chefs. Throughout the cooking class the chef was very informative and also made sure that all of us are understanding her. One of the best experiences while in Phnom Penh. 5/5 😃

      Excellent cooking class
Wonderful cooking class. Went to the market first, then very thorough and hands on instruction. We asked for some changes in the menu and they were flexible, quickly coming up with delicious alternatives. Chef Lon ang was friendly, knowledgeable and clear. Helpful with good English. Everything we made was classic Khmer and so so good.

      Entertaining, educational and lovely staff
Very fun course with a great variety of dishes. The local trip to the market was interesting and it was fun to actually shop around for once instead of just walking around. The English of the staff is good enough for simpel explanations with some jokes springles around. Took the daycourse and it was well worth it.

      Fantastic Food and Awesome Teachet
This is an excellent cooking class. We made a Green by mango salad, Khmer yellow curry and Banana palm for dessert. Everything tasted awesome. It was easy to follow along with our instructor, Peark Lom Ang. The room is spacious and all the equipment worked well and was in good condition. We will definitely make these recipes when we get home.

      Great day cooking Khmer food
It was a perfect and funny day. The teacher, called LomAng Peark, was very friendly and we had a very good time in the market buying the things and afterwards cooking such delicious dishes. I had a very good time and recommend this activity to every tourist in Nom Pehn. The activity takes place in the beautiful La Rose Suites. Thank you!!

      Khmer cooking class
It was a pleasure to be at the banana cooking class! My chef LomAng Peark was totally nice and had to every question I asked an answer! We cooked five dishes and she explained everything perfect! Before cooking, we went together to the market and bought all ingredients for the meal! Thanks, I would do it again!

Amazing food; great at modifying to dietary restrictions
I did the full day course and because of COVID-19 had a private lesson the entire day. This class was wonderful! LomAng Peark (my chef) was talented, kind and gave lots of information about Khmer food and culture. The other staff was so attentive and even chatted with me as I ate the meals. The dishes we made were authentic Khmer food and I can honestly say my favorite Khmer food I had during my time in Cambodia was during this course! They were also really good about modifying to my dietary restrictions, which was greatly appreciated!

An amazing experience, we were firstly taken to the local market, an experience in itself and reminiscent of our childhood where food markets featured heavily in the day to day of food purchasing and we were met with aisles and aisles of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. The chef haggled for the best price of the ingredients she wanted to buy and then we returned from the market to the kitchens at La Rose Suite Phnom Penh, where we both had our own cooking utensils, hot plate and ingredients set out and under the watchful eye of the chef prepared all the food for the Fresh Spring Rolls with and sweet/spicy dip, Yellow Khmer Curry and boiled rice and finally dessert of Banana Palm and a sweet caramel sauce. Each dish tasted delicious and we were then given a certificate and the recipes which we will definitely be trying at home. A wonderful experince not to be missed by travellers.

Very enjoyable and instructive authentic Khmer cooking class. Our chef, LomAng, brought us to nearby Kabko Market where she guided us through the ingredients we needed to buy. Incredible experience witnessing how the locals buy and sell. Back at the restaurant we were instructed on how to prepare a 3 course lunch - fresh spring rolls, Khmer yellow curry & banana palm. LomAng had good English. She would start each course by demonstrating what needed to be done first and then then we were let loose to replicate the dishes. The course took approx 4 hours and the finale was a delish meal which we sat down and ate together with our newly acquired fellow student chefs. I thoroughly recommend this authentic Khmer cooking course. No prior experience in the kitchen is required but I guarantee once you return home you will go on a mission to source these ingredients and try to recreate.

Chef Lom Ang Peark met me at my hotel and we went straight to the market to choose our ingredients for the mornings cook. The market was busy, the produce fresh and vibrant. An experience in itself. In the restaurant we prepared three dishes, all special khmer recipes, all delicious. Lom Ang Peark was an excellent teacher, kind and cheerful. The dishes tasted delicious, and the whole session was both fun and informative! I will be back - I hope! A 5 star experience.

This was an amazing and memorable experience! The chef was so nice and talented. We were taken by tuktuk to the local market where she helped us get all the ingredients fresh. We were vegan and so got freshly made tofu instead of chicken for the curry. We learnt to make rice paper rolls, khmer yellow curry, and caramelised bananas. I think this was the most delicious curry I have ever made, although it was only because of the fresh ingredients and the chef’s help! At the end you get to eat it all as a big lunch, receive a certificate and recipe booklet. I highly recommend this as a great culinary experience!
Tip: we were staying at the same hotel so had eaten a large breakfast beforehand and were already full from the chef’s amazing cooking, this meant unfortunately we couldn’t finish everything we had cooked. I would definitely recommend coming on an empty stomach since you make so much tasty food for lunch!

I booked onto the course and it was just me, the chef LomAng took me to the market for the ingredients then started showing me how to make it. We did fresh spring rolls, yellow curry, and banana palm pudding. LomAng is so nice and patient and showed me step by step what to do. Really recommend to anyone in Phnom Penh wanting to learn to cook Cambodian food - you get to keep the recipes too and LomAng told me alternatives for the ingredients I may not find in England! Such a superstar.

We had a great time with Chef LomAng Peark! She was knowledgeable and patient with a great sense of humour. As brand new residents in Phnom Penh, we especially enjoyed the trip to the market as she showed us how to buy the ingredients we would be using. The food was super tasty too! We would definitely recommend this course, just be aware that the location on Grab, Google and Facebook are all different - the Facebook location is the most accurate but you do need to turn down the street (away from the Independence Monument) to find it. Thanks to the reception staff for helping us over the phone when we were lost!

Very fun, tasty and educational class with Lom Arng, who was enthusiastic and engaging. She spoke great English, took us to a local market to select all fresh ingredients. She showed us how to prepare fresh spring rolls, prepare the delicious paste that is the basis of Amok, and cook the Amok with fish and then saute bananas for desert. Delicious!

The cooking class was a good dinner - nothing special. You just do 3 courses. The process for all of them was like: cut the ingredients, put it into the mixer, and boil them. In the end it tasted good, so we had a good dinner, but I don't know why I have expected more than this. Visiting the market was also just walking behind the chef while she bought some ingredients.

An excellent morning spent at the Khmer Cooking Class and the local market with our fabulous chef LomAng. We enjoyed the experience of the local market, everyone was so friendly and LomAng shared interesting facts about our ingredients for the day and others. The class itself was well organised and set up, the steps were easy to follow with LomAng talking us carefully through each one, explaining and sharing stories of family cooking in Cambodia and for special occasions. We were so grateful that the menu could be adapted to be vegan for us to enjoy and the food was so tasty, if we don't say so ourselves! Would highly recommend for a memorable experience cooking traditional Cambodian food with excellent guidance and a fabulous meal at the end! Thank you so much LomAng!
