Everything was incredibly well-organized, and the schedule ran right on time. Lana, our tour guide, was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable. She shared so much about Buddhism and Vietnamese culture, which made the experience even more enriching. Unlike other tours where we often felt rushed, this one struck the perfect balance, allowing us to take in each site at our own pace. The lunch was another highlight—delicious and a wonderful way to break up the day. Overall, it was an informative and enjoyable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Ninh Binh!

They switched and baited me, which is clearly an ongoing theme. So first, I had to text at least three numbers to eventually reach anyone that could potentially give me anymore information. I was picked up 40 minutes late. The coach was very cramped with luggage and no where to sit. The following two hours were incredibly unpleasant. We get on a small passanger boat that's in disrepair, it's hot and crowded. I then discover they've put me on an entirely different cruise to the one I actually booked, Le Journey is what I booked, and I realized the branding was for Amanda Luxury cruise. When I asked the manager he tells me they've upgraded me, which is a complete lie. The next 24 hours is spent eating cold, disgusting food out of trays, arguing with their office and trying to not fall through the floor of this dirty boat that's in desperate need of repairs. The food gave me food poisoning, the drinks were triple what they are on the mainland, even the drinks in the fridge in the room didn't come with a price list but I was charged for them. The shower leaked, the bathtub didn't fill up, and they'd downgraded my room. The staff are incredibly overworked and underpaid. You make around 8000-10,000 USD per NIGHT but you can't fix basic utilities. An absolute embarrassment and I'll be reviewing on Le Journey too to ensure that anyone knows to AVOID.

Everything, from the pick up at the hotel to the drop off the day after was just perfect. The pick up/drop off offered from the company not only was more convenient than Grab, but the bus/limousine was very comfortable. The check in process has been very easy and quick. The welcome on board of the Signature very nice. The manager, Tom (Tom Cruise) was very helpful and clear with the explanations of the program. What to says about the room…. From the bathroom with jacuzzi, yes we found a jacuzzi…. To the balcony where to enjoy the view in the privacy of our own room…. Outstanding. All the cruise was perfectly clean and all the members of the crew were very friendly and respectful. The surprise cake after dinner, to celebrate our honeymoon has been the master touch!!! Thanks guys. What about the breathtaking view…. Navigating in this wonderful paradise on heart is simply incredible.

Boat was excellent - fantastic amenities and staff. Food at lunch was delicious. Air conditioning was a huge bonus after sitting upstairs on the sun loungers. Vinny was great at leading the tour. We enjoyed the row boat through the cave which was unlike anything we’ve seen before and we weren’t expecting to see bats! Kayaking and swimming was great fun, plenty of time to enjoy the activities without feeling rushed. The boat had good toilet facilities, and space you could use to change out of wet clothes. Towels were provided. Drinks were very reasonably priced. The ‘tea’ in the afternoon exceeded our expectations with delicious spring rolls and cakes. Would absolutely recommend!

Got picked up at the hotel and it was all around old quarter. We already ate several dishes while we were staying in VN, so the guide made it his mission to not feed us anything we already had. Great! You get information about fishes and how to eat it. It was plenty to eat and the after dinner dip helped me sleep so good. Thanks for the tour, definitely recommend!

The staff on the Sapphire cruise were all so caring and amazing. They all worked so hard and really engaged with the guests to ensure they had a great time and some laughs along the way. Luc who was the main tour leader looked after every single person and made us all laugh. The boat itself was fantastic. Beautiful and clean with lots of perfect activities all planned so well. Definitely would recommend the Sapphire cruise and Ha Long Bay.

The views, the food, the activities, the fun and the kind and friendly amazing staff. We loved the room, soaking in the bath tub while watching the amazing Halong Bay, we went exploring with the kayak, later we went on the terrace for happy hour meeting and chatting with all the other guests with a beautiful sunset. We made spring rolls after a cooking lesson and they offered some fresh fruit and rice crackers. After a yummy dinner (perfect vegetarian for me) we went up to the terrace for Karaoke. It was fun as well. We woke up early for breakfast and a thai chi lesson, then we went for a tour with a bamboo boat. After it we had brunch and we left to go to Cat Ba. From the manager Hoang, Max our guide, James Bond the bar manager and all the smiling staff in the kitchen and around the boat, everyone was amazing and they made this experience unforgettable. I also couldn't believe how much food and how high the quality was. The price was also much cheaper than other boats considering we had hot tub and balcony. Very happily impressed 🥰 Very recommended it!!

Amazing staff, perfect amount (a lot) of food and very well presented (vegetarian very yummy), the views are breathtaking, we loved kayaking, happy hour and the little cooking lesson where we made spring rolls. The room was perfect for us, quality exceeded our expectations as we had hot tub and balcony and it was cheaper than lots of other boats options. You can soak in the hot tub while having a drink watching the beautiful Halong Bay. Karaoke, swimming, thai chi and the bamboo boat have made the 2 days 1 night cruise even better, the staff helped us with everything we needed and they were smiling and very welcoming for the moment we jumped on board till the end. We met fantastic guests from Australia, Vietnam, and Europe and we absolutely loved the staff. Thank you to all the team HOANG the manager, MAX our super tour guide, James Bond the bar manager, the waiters and truly everyone who works on board. Highly recommended

An amazing experience, we really enjoyed the cruise and the amazing views. The food on this cruise was very nice, quantities were large and the it was all tasty. My partner is vegetarian and they provided many vegetarian options for her. Mr Hoang and the rest of the staff were all very welcoming and friendly and made the experience even better.

Absolutely amazing experience. The boat was perfect size and seems to target more couples and family groups. This meant it was nice and relaxed without the noisey chatter of the larger boats. The trip was worth it for the beautiful scenery and the amazing and plentiful food that is served was almost a tour in itself. Our tour guide "Tom Cruise " has been a god send. From meeting us at their private lounge, 3 days and 2 nights of his hospitality, his wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm is 2nd to none. After disembarking and sitting in their private lounge to organise a bus to our next destination he took the time to assist me and found a quicker and cheaper option. Cannot recommend or thank him, the staff and everyone involved enough. This is a must book adventure.

This was an overall pleasant experience. The staff made sure that we are well taken care of. Ngan is the best butler in the world. She was so helpful and kind. Really made the experience worthwhile

Not a 5 star luxury experience; Amanda Luxury cruise; Luxury just in the name; simply not good I recently went on a Amanda luxury cruise and, unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. The food was mediocre at best, lacking variety and flavor. It seemed as though there was a heavy bias towards the native cuisine, which left non-native passengers feeling excluded and underwhelmed by the dining options. The crew members, while professional, exhibited limited patience and seemed overwhelmed. Their interactions often felt rushed and impersonal, which added to the overall negative atmosphere of the trip. In summary, my time on the cruise was far from enjoyable. The average food quality, biased menu selections, and the crew's limited patience made it an experience I would not recommend. I expected a relaxing and enjoyable vacation, but unfortunately, it fell short in many aspects.

May and the crew were fantastic, excellent service and the accommodations were wonderful! Food was great, kayaking was quite an adventure and we were able to swim afterwards.

Be aware this is a rebranded company ( formerly La Pinta Cruises ) which took everyone’s money and then went into hiding. After promising refunds they blocked your email so no response could ever be heard again SCAM COMPANY

This company sells you on experience that does not match the reality of what they are delivering. The scenery is beautiful but it was hard to enjoy when you felt like you were getting scammed. We were very disappointed with the cruise and it almost seemed comical how it was just one thing after another that went wrong for us and so many other guests we spoke to. We had many issues with the boat starting with it not being the one we were sold and the issues onboard such as the power/ac going out, foul odor from the bathroom, lower than expected accommodations and meals. The cruise is sold as a luxurious 5 star experience but it was absolutely not. The boat is in disrepair. The biggest issue is that we were bitten by bed bugs during our stay. The tour operator should also immediately take measures to decontaminate that boat and unfortunately the problem is probably much more widespread given how the company operates and has some guests being transferred between boats between their first and second nights. If you book Le Journey, Amanda, La Pinta, Lotus d’orient, or a Hera cruise you will all be on the same boat. It seems as if they market the same boat under multiple different entities.
