We had a tour booked for Haylong Bay. The night before we were to travel, I received a text asking where to pick us up, which was at the dock— where our cruise line was. They told me it was too far for them to go to get us. Then I was ghosted. We waited an hour the morning of the scheduled pick up, they did not show up. They sent me a message stating I would not get a refund either. So, we had no tour and they stole our $200 dollars. We will take this up with our credit card when we return.

Was a wonderful scenic trip service was excellent our butler John handled everything nothing was a problem Would recommend this trip to anyone

We chose Peony Cruise ,Halong Bay for 2d1n. We would like to say thanks to Mr Bobby who made everyone felt so much at home, took gd care of us in providing us delicious and ample food. Not onli he speaks very gd English but also he’s diligently attended to everyone’s needs. Keep it up with your good work. GBU.

Such a fun experience. We had an 8 year old and 2 year old with us. My 8 year old loved the stories...we got the audio guide so we could understand the stories. The puppets were fantastic, the music performed live alongside the puppets was a nice addition. Even my 2 year old enjoyed seeing the dragons and remained happy for most of the 50 minute show. Paying slightly extra for the seats at the front is worth it with the kids. You can also get an extra cushion to raise them up if they are too low

A very entertaining show, colourful, wonderful music, and a great insight into Vietnam's folk tales (you will need the headset to explain the stories being enacted but these are very cheap). The puppeteers are extremely skilful. The show is a series of short scenes exploring Vietnamese folk stories. The spectacle takes about 1 and a half hours, which is fine - any longer might be a bit too long. Recommended.

It was awesome but the light went off during the show. It took a while for the power to be back and then the AC didnt work.

Halong Bay Cruise - 3Days included Meals and Pick up Halong Bay Tour Operator No Called, No Showed Waited an hour at the confirmed meetIng place and time but the tour operator never showed and would not reply to repeated attempts to contact them through the Trip Advisor app. Trip Advisor was responsive to my dispute and supporting documentation. Trip Advisors informed me they had been in contact with the operator but unsuccessful obtaining my refund. I am unable to proved the screenshots of the communications with the operator confirming their pickup time and location. As well as my request for an update on their pickup at 15 and then 40 minutes they were late as these violate review guidelines. The operator never provided an explanation, never offered a replacement tour, the operator has never attempted to contact me other than the night prior confirming our pickup time and location. Proceed with caution.

Really great show, very talented individuals performing that being the puppeteers or musicians.Culturally significant and a privilege to see. It’s about the right length (50 mins) and entertaining for all ages. We booked online two days in advance for 3rd row seats. Ignore the bad reviews - some people just can’t be pleased. Definitely worth a visit if you’re at all interested in Vietnamese culture. Good value too.

This is an enchanting experience,I really enjoyed it. It’s puppets in water, telling stories of life in villages in years gone by.Great musicians who seemed to love every minute. Nice to see

The vietnamese are very creative for coming up with something so authentic! I give 5 stars to this performance. Every tourist MUST visit this place. I really loved the Water Puppet Show. I had read mixed reports on TA so I wasn't expecting too much, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was wonderful.

If travelling with children then this is a great place to get them entertain and start off with Vietnamese culture. They begin with an excellent standard Vietnamese music show. Performers are great. They display numerous standard, religious and folklore sorts puppet which mirrors straight to the Vietnamese religion, traditions, along with neighbourhood life. Worth getting the translation so you can understand a little of the history.Highly recommend for those who want to discover more about Vietnamese culture.

This is a wonderful show completely encompassing Vietnamese culture. I thoroughly enjoyed all the different scenes the puppets in the water portrayed. It was colorful and energetic. The stories are very entertaining, the puppets themselves are beautiful and it was nice to see the puppeteers at the end of the show. The show lasts 50 minutes and tickets are inexpensive.Famous water puppet show. A must see. Lots of puppet action accompanied by live musicians.

The tickets need to be picked up in a completely different location than the show, which was different than any other shows we booked in Vietnam. This caused us to miss the show. Avoid using this provider.

Do not book with Asia Travel Legend to visit the puppet theatre. The theatre is great but this agency is a rip off. The VIP tickets on the door are only about £6 (200k Dong) each, so at £26 for two people, the tour price for just reserving some seats is more than twice the price. VIP should be first 4 rows, when in fact our seats were in 5th. Small difference, but at this price, very disappointing. Good show, but terribly expensive with this agency.
