Absolutely would recommend this experience. Our tour guide was brilliant, really friendly and helpful. We chose the deluxe cruise which was lovely decorated and spacious and fantastic views from the top. The buffet lunch was delicious. We chose the speed boat as an extra option as well as the bamboo boat. Bring cash with you to pay for the speed boat - it was worth getting views from the speedboat you won't get with the kayak or bamboo boat. The whole day trip was really wonderful. We didn't go on the kayaks but we saw a lot of people sink in the water and couldn't get back in their boats. I heard a few people say their kayak had cracks in them (they are plastic) and quite a few people lost their phones and cameras in the water which could not be retrieved. The guide does recommend people not take their valuables onto the kayaks. The queue for the cave is very long and it was really hot when we went but it was absolutely worth it, the caves are incredible inside. Don't stop in the first one it is small and not the main attraction. Keep going to the second cave and wow it is cool. We got a picture and 2 free keyrings to pick up after. The sunset at the beach is beautiful and coming back at night was so atmospheric. One of my top favourite experiences!

Halong is absolutely amazing, the views are fantastic and I really enjoyed the trip! The trip was very good organized by Old Quarter Travel and Danny and the rest of the staff did an amazing job so I would definitely recommend them for your day-trip to Halong Bay.

Was picked up very smoothly from my hotel and dropped off in the same way. Driver very good and journey was a pleasant one considering how long it takes. Our tour guide, Toan, was absolutely fantastic! Very good sense of humour and very organised. The food on the boat was pretty good and the voyages around the bay were very nice. Activities were very good. I wouldn't recommend the speedboat so much, nothing really worth seeing that you couldn't see from the bamboo boat/kayak available. A bonus was us getting the sunset on the way back. Highly recommend!

The tour operator was great with communication and organisation. Thiang, our guide, was very enthusiastic, explained things thoroughly and made sure everyone was accommodated. We met some interesting people on the tour and really enjoyed our day in Ha Long Bay, which is very beautiful but overcrowded.

Our day trip to Halong Bay was enjoyable.. Our Tour guide Mr.Toan was excellent.. He communicated well and his explanations about the places were very informative.. He is very helpful and after every activity he made sure all the passengers were there ..he is polite and his jokes in between kept the trip very joyful .. we could cover all the places on time .. It was a memorable experience.. Thanks to our tour guide Mr. Toan ..

Tour was excellent with guide Mr.TOAN. He is a knowledgeable person, funny guy , friendly and helpful. With him we enjoy our tour today

The tour was ok and the pagoda is beautiful. But the logistics could have been better. We were supposed to leave Hanoi at 8a but didn’t leave until 9a. After the bus ride we were informed we had to take a 5 min shuttle to the boat which was an extra charge. It wasn’t about the money but the tour should at least cover all the transport costs. The rest of the tour was generally fine but then we got back to Hanoi at 7p, an hour later than planned.

Tour was well planned, bus was comfortable enough with usb charging. A special shout out also to our tour guide Mr Toan, he was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and very funny. I dare say Mr Toan was the best tour guide I have ever encountered. I would highly recommend a trip with them.

Our guide Toan is super knowledgeable and experienced. Entire tour went smoothly and was well coordinated despite having a full bus.

Tuan was our tour gude. Tuan is an excellent guide who makes an effort to give historical information in an interesting manner. He’s friendly and has a great sense of humour.

This is a great one day tour of Ha Long Bay. It hits all the important parts to see and the guide on the boat was very helpful. What we did not like was that we were not allowed to bring our own plastic water bottles on the boat and had to purchase water or other drinks from them all day. They weren’t even included with our lunch. Supposedly the first guide said that we could’ve brought reusable bottles onto the boat but he couldn’t tell us this ahead of time because he didn’t have our number, yet someone else was communicating with me through WhatsApp days before, coordinating pickup. I think this was a way to make extra money. This did not sit well with us, in addition to wrong info on the tour description, saying we would be provided wine during the sunset party and then we were only offered tea. The boat guide did take in our concerns and try to remedy that for which we were grateful, but I don’t like being mislead once we are already on the tour and being nickel and dimed for things like water. All in all a good enough tour but be aware of these things

I am with my Senior aged parents and I cant believe they enjoyed the tour given the course is a little different from what we usually do. Toan our tour guide is good in english, shares stories/information in interesting way and nice gentleman. I really appreciate the care he has on the guests.

Our tour guide - Mr. Toan - was absolutely excellent, he made the tour very engaging, he was helpful and also full of interesting information about any topics related to Vietnam, especially the famous Ha Long Bay.
