Great cruise and very good value for money. Chin and his team were very attentive. Food was great. Probably overall too much for the 2 night 3 day

I can’t believe how perfect everything was! The staff…especially Tim and Calvin were amazing. So helpful and courteous. The food was at a fine dining standard. Our day tour was truly a perfect day. They have this tour organised with precision…everything like clockwork. This was a birthday celebration for my husband and myself and the crew made sure it was memorable. Thanks again.

Overall this trip was underwhelming, not super well organized, and a tourist trap basically. The feeling we got was that the problem is systemic and not specific to this company. They are doing it on auto pilot but don’t really care about the experience. It is more of a checklist that they are trying to go through, and very little focus on experience and zero culture that one would experience by doing such a tour. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who is looking to do something different and want to experience culture. We travel around the world and have been to many touristy places but this must be the most touristy thing with no dash of culture we have ever done. This is coming from a person who is born and raised in India and now lives abroad. First day we went to Bai Dh temple, followed by Trang Ahn river cruise which was beautiful. However, the food for extremely bland and flavorless. Being vegetarian, it was extremely hard to find anything good to eat. Then we were taken to Dragon rock hike where we climbed 500 odd (very high) steps to get up but it was super crowded and we didn’t see the actual structure. However, we were happy to get some exercise. Post that they took us back to the hotel. We were dreading eating the food there so we decided to go to a nearby Indian restaurant called Kadahi, which was super good. We came back and tried taking shower and hot water ran out within first ten seconds for all of us and we ended up taking cold shower. Next morning for breakfast while we had told them that we are vegetarian, they gave us breakfast with meat and when we asked them to not give meat, they just removed sausages from our plate right in front of us. It was pretty crazy to watch. Then we were taken to Halong Bay City where we were dropped off without any instructions on what to expect and where to go. Then by asking several people we found our guide who took us to the waiting area. Then he came and gave us an invoice for return transfer. Our package included return transfer so we contacted the travel company and they got it sorted. But it was annoying to have to deal with it. The cruise boat was fine, however, they put us in the lowermost floor right next to the reception. When I asked why are we in those rooms, they said that’s the option we chose. The fact is that we were not given any choice to pick a certain type of room. We reconciled to it. They took us to caves where you climb up on the mountain to see the beautiful caves. Caves were pretty cool but very crowded. Then they had build up this island where we could go swimming- when we got there, it was just a sea of people and no place to swim (maybe it was low tide). It felt super pathetic. I couldn’t wait to leave that place fast enough. We came back to the cruise and we all got massage which was nice. After the massage there was happy hour and it was relaxing and not crowded since it got dark and we couldn’t see people around us in other cruise ships. They served dinner after that and made an effort on vegetarian food but in general the food tends to be very bland and flavorless. Even pastries and desserts are flavorless. Next morning we woke up early and did Tai-Chi on the roof deck with an instructor which was nice. Then they took us to an area to do Kayaking - it was nice to be on the water but again super crowded. People were bumping their Kayaks into each other. The person who tried helping my husband get out of the Kayak made him fall in the water. There is general apathy towards tourists and hospitality is not a thing which for some reason is expected of an Asian country. On the cruise they were trying to make an effort but it is so commercially driven and they are just ticking the checklist. Halong Bay is so beautiful and I kept thinking how would it feel to come here or another part of it which is not so touristy and commercial. We really wish our experience was different and this tour was more warm and hospitable because it is so beautiful.

Fantastic two night stay on the Athena cruise ship! Staff were very accommodating and the food was delicious! The itinerary was great- we thoroughly enjoyed everything on offer! Bed was really comfy and could have stayed in it all day.

Our boat (Aquamarine) was tired and old. The excursions were nothing to write home about. The 2nd day of the cruise was a little better. Halong bay is definitely beautiful but over tourism takes away from the experience. We did not find out till the day before which boat/tour operator will be used for our cruise. Once we find out it was Aquamarine, we looked up the reviews, they were mixed. Raised concerns, we were assured they have 5 star rating. Our recommendation is to book directly with cruise company/tour operators, after throughly doing your research. We booked on Viator based on 5 star reviews, those reviews are for all different cruise operators, not necessarily who you will end up with.

Terrible bus service, specifically concerning the driver's conduct! Firstly, the driver was significantly late for the scheduled pick-up time, which caused us considerable inconvenience. Despite this delay, my group and I remained patient and did not complain. However, upon arrival, we were instructed to drag our heavy luggage for a distance to where the coach was parked. This was quite an unpleasant start to our journey. Furthermore, the driver scolded us for bringing too many luggages, despite the fact that there were only six of us, each with just one large suitcase. It seemed unreasonable to expect us to travel across Vietnam with only a handbag or clutch right?? I understand that working in customer service can be challenging, and I do not expect the driver to keep smiling at us all the time. However, any personal dissatisfaction should be kept to oneself, as choosing to work in a customer service role comes with the responsibility of treating customers with respect and professionalism. As a customer, I refrained from complaining about the delay and the inconvenience of moving our luggage, and in return, I expected a certain level of decency and professionalism from your service. I urge you to address this issue to ensure a better experience for future customers. This has totally changed my impression on Hanoi customer service level and I would urge all to reconsider booking their limo bus service unless you do not mind being scolded for bringing 1 luggage.

My family of 6 was looking forward to the Halong Bay Cruise but we had a terrible experience even before we board the cruise. Firstly, driver was late by 10mins - car plate 29B-61008. Well thats fine considering morning traffic. Next we were scolded for having 6 luggage for 6 people by the driver. Look, we r a group of 6 ..and 6 luggage for a 20days trip is considered reasonable. We wanted to help with our own luggage but the driver was rude and said no then turn around and cursed us for having so many luggage. We would have thank him but when u r cursed in the morning, I don't think thank you is the 1st thing I wanna say. This episode didn't even stop when we were seated on the bus. He kept cursing and how we knew.. was becos he was looking at us and speaking. You don't need to be a genius to know he is cursing us AGAIN.

Everything was so incredibly beautiful. Absolutely cannot fault the staff. Hào made sure to take great care of us the whole time. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Activities were so much fun and the food was delicious !!

-1000 stars if possible. Booked my tour on September 6th and it was confirmed. Just received an email today November 26thto tell me they are booked on my dates, December 24h to 26th. I have already booked my flight, hotels and visa, nonrefundable. This company is extremely unprofessional, uses emojis to communicate, seriously! and thinks this is okay. Never again, I will be taking legal action!

This cruise was really amazing! We took a 2 night cruise to Ha Long Bay, rooms were spacious and clean, boat itself really beautiful. Crew was outstanding, everyone at your disposal at any time for all the questions and inquires. Food at the boat was lovely and plentiful. And excursions from the boat really worth. Good value for money!

We had an amazing time. The food was delicious, and the staff were amazing. Special shout out to Jack, Black, and Johnny. The views were magnificent.

The whole experience was very nice and memorable as the staff were professional and friendly at the same time. The food is 10/10 and Mr Dong’s funny and witty way of managing the tour makes it more enjoyable and exciting.

Sunny Chuong is humourous, very detail with the itinerary, what to watch for, what not to do and time to gather for next attraction. He is friendly and share the culture of Vietnam. If he operates another tour, we definitely will join.

The overall tour experience was wonderful. The staff aboard the Aquamarine Cruise went above and beyond to ensure our experience was a memorable one. Jessica was our helpful point of contact through out the trip via WhatsApp and made it easy to schedule our transfers timely. Tom was our guide/host while on ship and on the tours, he was amazing and beyond accommodating! The food was delicious and the karaoke was a great way to end the night. The sights are spectacular, definitely a must see!

My boyfriend and I decided to book this trip last minute. We were not disappointed! All the staff were super amazing! They are very organized and really cater to your needs! I have a food restriction and they totally accommodated everything! The meals were amazing, the rooms were amazing, the bamboo boat was an awesome experience and the hike in the cave was cool! If you are looking for a nice little getaway, I recommend booking this!
