I went on the trip in early January. Sapa was colder compared to the sea side of course but still beautiful! When we arrived at the village, a lot of people went to homestays. My reservation was with a hotel however I wanted to change and the team arranged this for me there and then. Overall the customer support was great over the entire trip! The price is also really good compared to what you find in Hanoi on the streets offered by various tour agents. Strongly reccomend!

The organization of the trip was very good. The food was delicious as well as the trekking. The hotel room with spectacular view was nice. The only problem was after the sleeping bus dropped us off at Hanoi on the second day: it was nobody there who would deliver us to our hotels! Therefore, we had to walk. That is unacceptable as the tour advertises drop off at the hotel.

Did this tour in January. They use sleeper buses which are great. Yiu can snooze ir watch the view. Hotel was great as was the food. Tour guide was great with great language skills. We went off road along the trails. Great way of staying fit.. would highly recommend this company. Very organised people. Charlie Ireland.

I took the 2 days 1 night tour from Hanoi to Sapa in November ‘19. The agency was extremely responsive and accomodating in the arrangement of the tour, especially thanks to the constant help by Jenny.
The tour was well organised, with punctual pick up and drop off in each phase. The hotel was good, the guides well prepared and the trekking not too challenging. The landscape was pretty impressive, even if not the best you can get during the year, due to harvesting (suggested period: August-September).
Because of the well known rice terraces, a must do if visiting Hanoi and northern Vietnam.

Overall this was a really good experience. What we didn’t realise is that the bus was one with sleeping booths and we struggled with being tall to fit in. There was a warning about not being suitable for being tall but we weren’t sure why. The hikes were excellent and our guide Tsai was very considerate, knowledgeable and friendly.

This trip did not start out well. The transportation via Sapa Express (see photo) was miserable for me. The ad said it was a "Modern air-conditioning bus with comfortable seats". What it was is a bus with three rows of end-to-end bunk beds (see photo). Each bed is only about 5.5ft long and you can not sit up straight. Unless you are under 5.5ft tall and simply want to sleep, it is very uncomfortable. But, the most disappointing thing about this bus was that the windows were scratched and dirty. So, photographing and enjoying the beautiful scenery was not possible, not to mention watching scenery go by laying down made me a little queezie. If you have the opportunity, pay a little more and get a regular seating bus.
Also, the so-called wifi was pretty much non-existent. It was like sharing a dial-up connection with 30 people.
Beyond that, the tour was wonderful. The first day I went with a tour guide named Chau. She was really good and spoke great english. She took me to Cat Cat Village. It was so beautiful (see photo).
That night, I stayed at the Sapa Vista hotel. I had a great view from my room. It wasn't too bad for a 3 star hotel (see photo).
The second day my guide was Ly. She also spoke great english and was very knowledgeable about the area. This was a 5-6 hour trekking (hiking) tour up and down the valleys. It just happened to be a little muddy that day so keeping your footing was very difficult. Bring good hiking boots or shoes, not flip-flops or sandles. But, the views were incredible (see photo). All and all, other than the bus ride, the tour was beautiful and the guides and people I met were wonderful. It could really use a little clarity in the TripAdvisor description about the Sapa Express bus.

On my way back to Hanoi after this trip I knew that ideally I should have spent longer in the Sa Pa area but if two days is all you can spare, this is an excellent trip. Transport to/from Hanoi was provided by GreenBus on one of their nice sleeper buses/coaches. It is a scheduled bus service, not everyone on the bus is on the same tour as you or on a tour at all. The bus stopped for a rest stop twice during the 6 hour journey. I was met at the Greenbus stop in Sa Pa by our local guide who was holding up my name on a piece of paper, similar to how someone would if picking you up at an airport. From there we got into a taxi and was taken to our hotel. In oour case the Sa Pa Vista Hotel. It has excellent views over the valley and of Fansipan and the room was very good. We were provided with vouchers for meals in the hotel restaurant. Basically, a starter, main and desert. Drinks are extra. Our guide met us in the hotel lobby at the arranged time and off we went. Unfortunately I never got our guides name but she was very nice, a member of the Black Hmong people and employed by a local tour company Sa Pa Pathfinder. We went to Cat Cat village. The village is picturesque but touristy. We didn't walk all the way back to the hotel but were picked up by a minibus. That saved us some steep leg work. Oh annd it rained heavily for the entire first day! Our second day started off much better and the early morning sunrise views from the hotel room were brillaint. Before setting off you check out of your room and put your big bag on the storage rack for when you get tback. The hotel has a dedicated shower room for when you get back from the day's walking. The two of us at the Sa Pa Vista were met by our guide and we walked through Sa Pa town picking up our other group mates as we went along. Our group was six people. We turned off the town road up and narrow alley way and soon found ourselves off road climbing up the hill side. We soon found ourselves accompanied by some local women who walked along with us. The views of the valley were fantastic. After a whle of walking along the hillside and forest we emerged onto and continued along a concrete road. Our guide soon asked us if we wanted to carry on using the road or get back on the trail. We were told the views were pretty much the same either way, so we chose to stay on the road for ease of movement. Just before lunch we stopped at a view point and that's where the "ambush" happened. The local women that had been walking with us and befrieding us, suddenly produced their wares and asked us if we'd like to buy handicaft bags and scarves etc.I had every intention of buying souvenirs anyway but wasn't expecting that. You'll need to do some hard bartering! Even if you get ripped off, it's still not a lot of money. The lunch stop was at quite a nice restaurant. The food provided was simple and typical of that often provided on excursions in Vietnam. We continued our walk through the valley to Lao Chai village. The walk was now mostly on contructed road, the views were still superb.Throughout the walk our guide pointed out various things and told us of life in the valley. After passing through Lao Chai village we were picked up by the mini bus again and taken back to the hotel to shower. We were then taken to the GreenBus stop in town for our retrun to Hanoi. The organisational efficiency of this trip was perfect, I had no complaints and was never left in doubts wondering what was happening or if I'd been forgotten. Everything just worked. As I stated at the begining, this is a quick compact trip, as much as I enjoyed it, it made me aware that I could have easily spent more time in the area. So while recommended, perhaps consider a two night trip if you can.

The sleeping bus was fantastic. Great way to travel the 5 hours from Hanoi to Sapa. Hotel was adequate, they worked hard for you to enjoy your time there. The trekking was surprising, exciting and exhausting. The Hmong women who assist you down and around the hillsides are remarkable. Small but mighty!! So glad we made this tour. Side note-the transportation service picks you up at your hotel but does not drop you off at the completion of the tour. You are in downtown Hanoi with luggage looking for your hotel. Could be a problem for some!!!

Me and my partner did the 2 day and 1 night trip to Sapa which we throughly enjoyed, only wished we had opted for 2 nights to explore a little more.
The sleeper bus was an interesting experience but very comfortable. Everything was fairly well organised, however we were a little confused when we arrived in Sapa as there was no one there to meet us initially but after 10 mins our guide Zozo arrived to collect us.
Zozo was a great guide and gave us lots of information and was really friendly.
The hotel (Sapa Vista hotel) was ok, the staff were great and the views would of been spectacular on a clear day. However we did have to request a room change due to bugs in our bed and a strange noise in our room! This was done quickly though and the person reception was very helpful.
The trek was hard but great fun at the same time, Sapa is just beautiful and the villages we went to were interesting. Walking boots would be a recommendation as it was very slippy! However a group of women do follow you and help you which was needed. They do get very pushy for you to buy their goods though which I found a little awkward.
Jenny our tour operator was extremely helpful and attentive and sent lots of messages to check everything was ok which we really appreciated.
Overall a really great and enjoyable tour, way UID throughly recommend.
