3-Day Ba Be Lake and Ban Gioc Waterfall Tour from Hanoi
From USD 279.00

It’s difficult to experience Ba Be National Park without private transportation and a guide to connect you to the ethnic groups who live here. On this small-group tour, the perfect choice for adventurous travelers, immerse in local culture, landscapes, and lifestyles, and mingle with Nung and Tay people. Along the way, see the Nang River, Ban Gioc Falls, Nguom Ngao cave, and more.

What to Expect

After pickup from your hotel, stop in Thai Nguyen city to learn about local cultures at the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups. Enjoy lunch then travel north. You might stop at a village that produces tobacco before you reach your homestay, with a Nung family in Quang Uyen, in time for dinner.

After breakfast at your homestay, visit Phuc Sen village, known for the production of farming tools. Travel through spectacular rice-paddy scenery to Ban Gioc Falls. Soak up the spectacular views before journeying to Nguom Ngao cave, Cao Bang town, and Ba Be Lake, with lunch on route. Enjoy dinner with a Tay family, your hosts for the night.

After breakfast, experience Ba Be Lake: swim, look for wildlife, and soak up the karst scenery. Board a boat to ride the Nang River and cruise Ba Be Lake and Puong Cave. Finally, head back to Hanoi, enjoying lunch and a stop at a tea plantation on route.
