        MUST SEE!
What an incredible experience that is Junkyard Theatre! Our table and everyone else’s were in absolute stitches. So creative and brilliant! The talent of the performers was out of this world. Beautiful singing, hilarious skits and incredible dance moves. The food was a stand out too! Also the bar and wait staff, great! The venue was really quirky! Really cool artwork, gorgeous greenery, lots of vintage stuff The Aussie couple that run the theatre were so beautiful and we loved meeting them! Best experience, one that we will treasure for years to come. Highly recommend, spectacular show!

A must do when in Phuket
Well organised trip, had great guide in Boy who took care of all of us throughout the day. Plenty of water and soft drinks offered throughout the trip. Great scenery and beaches. Really enjoyed the snorkeling stop, plenty to see. A long day but a wonderful experience

We had such a good experience with Seastar - so professional and kind
I had an amazing time with Seastar tour from Phuket to Similan Islands. Seastar was very professional and I felt safe, happy and well fed! We were picked up from our hotel, transported to their place and there we were prepared for the trip, having breakfast and getting additional information. After that we drove in the boat to Similan Islands, where we snorkled, swam and enjoyed the islands. They were amazingly beautiful and it was a very special and clear water. I can definitely recommend trips with Seastar, very professional and kind.

        Disorganized and overpriced
We were really excited for the tour, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations in terms of organization and overall experience. First off, the timing was a big issue. The tour was advertised as lasting 4 to 4.5 hours, but in reality, we spent a lot of time waiting. We left our hotel before 7 a.m., but didn’t return until around 3 p.m. This included the transfer to the base, about an hour of waiting for everyone to gather and the jetskis to be prepared, the tour itself, and then the lunch break when we got back. We also had to wait again for the car to take us back. So, the total experience was much longer and filled with unnecessary delays. Now, on the water, the jetskis were fine. They reached speeds of 45-50 km/h and had space for bags. Initially, riding was fun, and we got to stop at the “monkey” island, where we fed some monkeys (they’re pretty used to tourists). But the rest of the islands and stops weren’t as enjoyable. At one island, we had a break, but there were no toilets, and the snacks and drinks weren’t included in price (even water had to be bought). There was really nothing to do on the island except wait. The guides seemed to take this time to smoke, which added to the awkward feeling of doing nothing. At this point, the physical discomfort of the ride started to kick in. The water was choppy and windy, which made the ride less enjoyable, and my muscles started hurting. We made several stops for photos, but after 1-2 stops they started to feel unnecessary. The guides did take great photos, but after a couple of stops, it felt repetitive and we spent a lot of time waiting for the slower riders in the group to join us for photos. When we got to the final island, there was no explanation about what to do or where we were supposed to go. We were led to a restaurant, and after we were served food and drinks, we were told we would leave in 5 minutes. This meant we barely had time to finish our food. Also, the paid toilets were inconvenient (no paper and a rude attendant). To top it all off, I had 500 THB stolen from my jetski. I don’t blame the guides, I suspect it was one of the local boys helping with the jetskis on the island. It’s a good reminder not to leave anything behind. Finally back on the land, the lunch was decent and included in the price (finally!), and we bought a framed photo of us for 200 THB to remember the day. In conclusion, while the tour had some fun moments, the long waiting times and lack of organization really made it less enjoyable. The choppy ride was physically uncomfortable, and the overall value didn’t match the price. If the waiting time was reduced and the guides provided clearer instructions, this could have been a much better experience.

        Superb!
It was a really great tour well planned. Initially I thought its expensive compared to other tours already there in market but after this I actually booked another phi phi island tour with the standard prices (however they did mention premium speed boat). That tour was so bad, didn't get enough time to visit islands, the staff was not polite at all. So Now I think the price is quite justified for this one. The staff was really great, we were with Nina as our tour guide, she was super polite, helped us in all manners. Also to mention here we were only 1-12 persons in the boat, however compared to other tour we were 30-40 there, I strongly recommend few people on the boat as it really amplifies your experience

"TIK" this off your checklist of things to do in Phuket.
This market stop/cooking class was the perfect cap to our 3-day visit to Phuket. We were picked up and dropped off from the Patong jetty and rode in an aircon van to Phuket City. Tik met us at the market and gathered the produce for our class, explaining their uses as she shopped. A short ride away, we entered a bright, airy space with a table pre-set with all the tools needed for our class. Tik explained which ingredients would be used in the 3 dishes on the menu and we set to work peeling, slicing, dicing and piling up vegetables, roots and herbs. Our classroom was scented with delicious aromatics as we busied ourselves with the prep work. In the kitchen separated by glass doors, we cooked our individual dishes after watching Tik's step-by-step demonstration. Throughout the class, the room was filled with chatter and Tik's no-nonsense approach and infectious humor. We only fell silent when we brought our dishes back to the table to taste what we had prepared, our faces and spoons focused on the delicious food in front of us. Even my husband, a picky eater, was admittedly impressed by the whole experience. Few of us could finish our plates because the portions were so generous and most of us carried away leftovers. This experience was unforgettable and we're hoping we'll be able to replicate some of these dishes when we return home.

        Fun day Island hopping
Fund day trip, staff were lovely and very caring tending to everybody’s needs all with great sense of humour. The day was not too busy rushing from one island to the other. James Bond Island is crazy busy, a bit of a shame but we were fortunate to see it.

Unforgettable Loy Krathong & Kayak Cave Experience with John Gray’s Sea Canoe! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our experience with John Gray’s Sea Canoe was nothing short of magical from start to finish! The evening began with a peaceful kayak journey into stunning limestone caves, where we learned about the history and significance of Loy Krathong, Thailand’s beautiful festival of gratitude. Creating our own krathongs from natural materials was a special touch, making the experience feel even more authentic and meaningful. As we floated our candlelit offerings onto the water, thanking the river for the life it sustains and making a wish, the atmosphere was simply breathtaking. The guides were exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and deeply respectful of the environment. The two meals served on this boat were exceptional! If you’re looking for an authentic, eco-friendly, and unforgettable way to experience Thailand’s natural beauty and traditions, John Gray’s Sea Canoe is an absolute must! Highly recommend!

This experience was amazing. From the first contact we were notified exactly of our transport times and locations. We were greeted immediately from exiting our transport shown through the gates to a stunning view.
We took our time and explored the village and decided to dress up in traditional clothing (300baht each). While we were dressed up we were paraded through the village so our assistant could take photos in a range of locations and backgrounds. A number of tourists even joined in on our fun asking to take photos with us!
The buffet had something for everyone and a range of dishes from around the globe. We were then shown to our seats. Now this is where I want to point out how amazing the service was. I tend to get quite bad claustrophobia when stuck in the middle of people. When we explained this would likely lead to a panic attack we were upgraded to another seat with plenty of space for me to breathe.
The main event… simply beautiful. The history, explanation, costumes were presented perfectly.
The venue was clean, the service was exceptional and very professional. Nothing was a bother to accommodate.
Following the show we were escorted directly to our transport rather than combing through each van.
Outstanding and I plan to come again but with my family next year.

Siam Niramit is a Cultural show not to miss in Phuket. The whole production set up was extravagant and lavish. Showcased were the colourful costumes, talented casts, and elaborate props well put together to come up with an amazing show. The whole venue itself had interesting replicas of the houses from the olden days showing their culture and livelihood during wet and dry seasons. Their sources of living were farming and fishing. There were even some demonstrations on how they prepared their food with some tasting of the food on offer. Tickets to the show included dinner where there was a wide variety of Thai food on the buffet. Some western food was also offered, but of course we opted for the delicious Thai food. There was also a pre-show at the Plaza where their national costumes, music and dances were presented. The main show in the theatre was spectacular and it was suitable for people of all ages. The event also had hotel pick up and drop off. It was well organised because they have assigned pick up points after the show depending on which hotel or resort you are staying. Everything went smoothly from start to finish which made us enjoy this event and would recommend this Cultural show to anyone visiting Phuket.

We booked this trip through the rep at Cape Sienna hotel. Everything from the transfer to and from the hotel, the buffet meal, Siam village and main show were well worth the visit. The show itself was amazing! In a huge air conditioned theatre worthy of Las Vegas the show is a spectacular display of sound, lights, sets, dance and music. It cleverly tells the story of the history of Siam which is easily understood no matter which language you speak. There is enough explanation in English, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian.
Please do take time at the end to take a photo with various groups from the cast of the show. And please place a well deserved tip in the tips box as you leave!

Lots to see on the property including petting a live elephant. Great buffet where everything was labeled in English so you knew what you were eating. The show was a bit of a wait and later in the evening but they kept you entertained with different performances throughout the night. After the show it was easy to find our transportation back to the hotel. Great cultural experience.

Thai culture and history were fascinatingly explored in the Siam Niramit presentation. The amazing event was a visual feast for the senses, with colorful dancing, captivating music, and intricate costumes. The audience was taken on a thrilling journey through time by the elaborate scenery and visual effects. It was admirable how meticulously Thai customs and folklore were portrayed. All things considered, Siam Niramit produced a remarkable cultural extravaganza that offered a singular and immersive experience that exquisitely honored Thailand's rich history.
The setup of the Thai village was absolutely beautiful and lastly, the buffet was outstanding

We bought the show with dinner and transfer to the venue. By the time we got there, it was already 6 pm and we found that we didn’t have enough time to go through the village properly before dinner.
Definitely be there the moment the place opens. Have a go at Muay Thai and traditional dances. Try free food samples at the village and games (out of pocket). Get to try different Thai dishes at the buffet dinner. There’s also Chinese, Western and Indian food though the Thai food probably taste the best.
Pre-show is held where the dragon/ fountain is. There’s opportunity to take photos with the cast at the end of the pre- show.
We bought platinum seats but reckon gold is ok too. Difference in price between the seat category is not much. No photography allowed during the show. As such, cameras are kept in lockers until end of show. Phones are allowed to be brought in.
      Show was entertaining and enjoyable.

The overall experience was overshadowed with pitty for the poor animals forced to participate in the stage show and pre show entertainment. The elephant looked miserable and displayed signs of distress. Goats and chickens were chased across stage etc.

The transport pick up was a little late but everything else was handled efficiently. The food served at the buffet had a wide variety of dishes & was better than expected. The main show was spectacular with ornate & very colorful costumes. Special effects were good. Overall a good representation of Thai culture & history.

The show is highly entertaining and shares just enough Thailand history, culture, and philosophy to be educational as well. The sets, costumes, and stage are in themselves worth the price. The dinner is excellent and very diverse. The show was our favorite experience, and we did a fair bit of touring. The stage was immense and featured a river, a rainstorm, beautiful actors, and a series of short but meaningful storylines. It was highly entertaining and is an experience we will remember!
