- Muggalou0 contributionsWe had such a good experience with Seastar - so professional and kindI had an amazing time with Seastar tour from Phuket to Similan Islands. Seastar was very professional and I felt safe, happy and well fed! We were picked up from our hotel, transported to their place and there we were prepared for the trip, having breakfast and getting additional information. After that we drove in the boat to Similan Islands, where we snorkled, swam and enjoyed the islands. They were amazingly beautiful and it was a very special and clear water. I can definitely recommend trips with Seastar, very professional and kind.Written 12 February 2025

- sofiasJ2929OD0 contributionsDisorganized and overpricedWe were really excited for the tour, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations in terms of organization and overall experience. First off, the timing was a big issue. The tour was advertised as lasting 4 to 4.5 hours, but in reality, we spent a lot of time waiting. We left our hotel before 7 a.m., but didn’t return until around 3 p.m. This included the transfer to the base, about an hour of waiting for everyone to gather and the jetskis to be prepared, the tour itself, and then the lunch break when we got back. We also had to wait again for the car to take us back. So, the total experience was much longer and filled with unnecessary delays. Now, on the water, the jetskis were fine. They reached speeds of 45-50 km/h and had space for bags. Initially, riding was fun, and we got to stop at the “monkey” island, where we fed some monkeys (they’re pretty used to tourists). But the rest of the islands and stops weren’t as enjoyable. At one island, we had a break, but there were no toilets, and the snacks and drinks weren’t included in price (even water had to be bought). There was really nothing to do on the island except wait. The guides seemed to take this time to smoke, which added to the awkward feeling of doing nothing. At this point, the physical discomfort of the ride started to kick in. The water was choppy and windy, which made the ride less enjoyable, and my muscles started hurting. We made several stops for photos, but after 1-2 stops they started to feel unnecessary. The guides did take great photos, but after a couple of stops, it felt repetitive and we spent a lot of time waiting for the slower riders in the group to join us for photos. When we got to the final island, there was no explanation about what to do or where we were supposed to go. We were led to a restaurant, and after we were served food and drinks, we were told we would leave in 5 minutes. This meant we barely had time to finish our food. Also, the paid toilets were inconvenient (no paper and a rude attendant). To top it all off, I had 500 THB stolen from my jetski. I don’t blame the guides, I suspect it was one of the local boys helping with the jetskis on the island. It’s a good reminder not to leave anything behind. Finally back on the land, the lunch was decent and included in the price (finally!), and we bought a framed photo of us for 200 THB to remember the day. In conclusion, while the tour had some fun moments, the long waiting times and lack of organization really made it less enjoyable. The choppy ride was physically uncomfortable, and the overall value didn’t match the price. If the waiting time was reduced and the guides provided clearer instructions, this could have been a much better experience.Written 11 February 2025
- aliaE959UT0 contributionsSuperb! It was a really great tour well planned. Initially I thought its expensive compared to other tours already there in market but after this I actually booked another phi phi island tour with the standard prices (however they did mention premium speed boat). That tour was so bad, didn't get enough time to visit islands, the staff was not polite at all. So Now I think the price is quite justified for this one. The staff was really great, we were with Nina as our tour guide, she was super polite, helped us in all manners. Also to mention here we were only 1-12 persons in the boat, however compared to other tour we were 30-40 there, I strongly recommend few people on the boat as it really amplifies your experienceWritten 11 February 2025

- Freedom463958139300 contributions"TIK" this off your checklist of things to do in Phuket. This market stop/cooking class was the perfect cap to our 3-day visit to Phuket. We were picked up and dropped off from the Patong jetty and rode in an aircon van to Phuket City. Tik met us at the market and gathered the produce for our class, explaining their uses as she shopped. A short ride away, we entered a bright, airy space with a table pre-set with all the tools needed for our class. Tik explained which ingredients would be used in the 3 dishes on the menu and we set to work peeling, slicing, dicing and piling up vegetables, roots and herbs. Our classroom was scented with delicious aromatics as we busied ourselves with the prep work. In the kitchen separated by glass doors, we cooked our individual dishes after watching Tik's step-by-step demonstration. Throughout the class, the room was filled with chatter and Tik's no-nonsense approach and infectious humor. We only fell silent when we brought our dishes back to the table to taste what we had prepared, our faces and spoons focused on the delicious food in front of us. Even my husband, a picky eater, was admittedly impressed by the whole experience. Few of us could finish our plates because the portions were so generous and most of us carried away leftovers. This experience was unforgettable and we're hoping we'll be able to replicate some of these dishes when we return home.Written 10 February 2025
- JeannePienaar0 contributionsFun day Island hoppingFund day trip, staff were lovely and very caring tending to everybody’s needs all with great sense of humour. The day was not too busy rushing from one island to the other. James Bond Island is crazy busy, a bit of a shame but we were fortunate to see it.Written 9 February 2025
- RITA_OPINION0 contributionsJust Anazing!Unforgettable Loy Krathong & Kayak Cave Experience with John Gray’s Sea Canoe! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our experience with John Gray’s Sea Canoe was nothing short of magical from start to finish! The evening began with a peaceful kayak journey into stunning limestone caves, where we learned about the history and significance of Loy Krathong, Thailand’s beautiful festival of gratitude. Creating our own krathongs from natural materials was a special touch, making the experience feel even more authentic and meaningful. As we floated our candlelit offerings onto the water, thanking the river for the life it sustains and making a wish, the atmosphere was simply breathtaking. The guides were exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and deeply respectful of the environment. The two meals served on this boat were exceptional! If you’re looking for an authentic, eco-friendly, and unforgettable way to experience Thailand’s natural beauty and traditions, John Gray’s Sea Canoe is an absolute must! Highly recommend!Written 9 February 2025
