Amazing experience with the best instructors!
The best experience I could have imagined. The instructor was a great first introduction to scuba diving as I had no experience. The views were fantastic, the people knowledgeable and the experience was great. Worth every penny! Food on the boat was great and you never feel they're pinching their pennies.

        Excellent, safe way to dive
A highly organised company, we were looked after from the hotel door to return. The tour included a full breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack with free water, soft drink and coffee/tea. The diving instructor (Fabian) was professional and when I struggled with a refresher exercise, he took the time to take me up and start again. He ensured all of our equipment was comfortable. He allowed time for my husband to come down slowly as he struggled with his ear equalisation. At no time were we rushed. The dive sites had many critters to see and the last one had an old diving boat to investigate. I was completely comfortable with the company and their commitment to safety. I would highly recommend this tour for the beginner to advanced divers. The day was windy and large swell however the dive sites were calm and clear. The three dives ranged from 34 minutes for the wreck (deepish) to 46 mins for the reefs. You will spend 2hrs approx each way on the boat so be prepared if you get squeezy. (they will look after you) . The boat was large enough for all to spread out and was quite comfortable. They had lots of facilities for the seasick, including tablets and sick bags.

Our instructor (Fabian) tailored our diving for my wife's and myself skill level and we had a wonderful time. 1 instructor to 2
Very well organised company from start to finish. Would highly recommend for all skill levels, beginners to advanced.

        Amazing diving experience
An amazing experience. We were first time divers and our instructor was absolutely brilliant. It was a well run trip and everything flowed perfectly. We completed 3 dives (50 mins each) and seen some incredible marine life. Soft drinks and water were free and unlimited and the complimentary food provided on board was delicious. Would highly recommend anyone to book this tour!

        This man kidnapped us y'all.
I can't believe this vendor is still allowed to sell his services. This man kidnapped us. We booked this scuba diving excursion through Viator on Trip Advisor (our first mistake). When the owner arrived to pick us up, I could immediately tell he was not expecting us as clients (a queer Black couple) and the mood immediately shifted when he saw us. We got into the truck with him anyways (our second mistake) and about 10 minutes into the drive, he informed us that we would have to pay an extra fee for pickup. The listing said that pickup was free for all hotels in Patong and though our hotel was in Patong, the owner said, we were in "North Patong" and would have to pay extra. I definitely felt like it was sleazy that he opted to tell us we would have to pay more for pick up after he had already picked us up and we were well on our way but I didn't say anything and paid so as not to cause conflict. Little did I know, there was going to be conflict regardless. While we were driving, we were talking to each other about travelling to Bangkok by plane and the driver interrupted and said "When are you planning on going to Bangkok". We told him we were planning on going later that evening. He responded b by saying that we couldn't go scuba diving anymore. We asked why, and he said because it was dangerous to fly within 24 hours of scuba diving. I asked why that wasn't listed in the ad, and he said it was and that I clearly couldn't read properly because I also didn't read about the pickup fee..... I pulled up the ad to show him that the listing said we couldn't go scuba diving if we were pregnant, intoxicated, or had back pain, but nowhere in the package that we booked did it say we couldn't take an airplane. We told him it didn't matter anyways because we didn't have to fly that day (our travel plans were flexible). He didn't care and told us that he wouldn't take us scuba diving anymore. At this point, we didn't even feel safe going underwater with this man literally responsible for providing us with oxygen to survive so we agreed and said we wouldn't go anymore. We opened the doors to get out of the car when I asked if we were going to get a refund on our ticket since we couldn't go anymore. He kept driving (with the truck door open) and told us that we wouldn't since we were "choosing" not to go scuba diving anymore but he would refund us through Tripadvisor if we gave him an extra 1000 baht right on the spot. I said no. It was clear this man was swindling us for any money he could get. He then started speeding the car yelling at us to give him more money. The car door was open, he was speeding super fast down an area of Phuket, Thailand that we didn't know, we were yelling for him to stop and he would not let us get out of the car!!!! This went on for what felt like a very long time! I finally took a handful of cash out of my bag and threw it at him yelling at him to let us out of the car. He abruptly stopped the car, told us to get the f out and when we scurries out he said he would "f****** kill us if he ever saw our f****** faces again!!" Then he drove off. I was shaking and crying. This was the scariest experience I've ever had in my life. This man not only endangered our lives but he also blatantly threatened to kill us. AND HERE'S THE KICKER - when we contacted Tripadvisor to report the situation they wouldn't give us back our refund because they said it was against their policy. When I explained once again that this man KIDNAPPED AND SAID HE WOULD KILL US, they offered me a $25 discount on my next TripAdvisor excision purchased in the next 3 weeks. WHAT!!!! We finally got our money back on the excursion, but this doesn't feel okay. Our lives were put in danger by this vendor, we had to fight to get our money back, and this man is still on here selling his services to unsuspecting tourists.

        Excellent day full of diving
I went diving last year in November with Steven the owner. We did 3 fantastic dives and he was great at helping me refresh my Diving knowledge as it had been a few years since I had put the equipment on. The dive spots were really nice and he pointed out lots of different fish hiding in the coral which I would never have had spotted on my own. All in all it was a fantastic day of diving. I would highly recommend Steven to anyone looking for a nice relaxed day of diving. I would have loved to have done another day diving but unfortunately didn't fit into my schedule.

        Strange name, great dive op
I had planned to be going to the Philippines, but due to a Coronavirus travel ban that went into effect the day I was leaving the US, I instead found myself on a plane to Thailand with no idea where I was going or plans for when I got there. During my flight, I began my research so I would have a game plan when I landed in Bangkok. I came across Steven on the scubaboard forums, and he was extremely helpful in offering advice for my last second trip to the area. Because of this, I booked my land based diving through him and have no regrets. First off, if you don't know how the land based diving works, it's very unlike anywhere I've ever dove. Whomever you book your diving with, they basically book you on a cattle boat with 30-50 other divers. It sounds absolutely terrible, but, to be honest, it really wasn't. The boats are HUGE, have multiple levels, and most of them offer plenty of room to spread out. The dive deck can get a bit crowded right before everyone jumps in, but everyone is assigned a spot, and it's really not that bad at all. The dive op you book through will assign you a dive guide, and you will be with that dive guide for each dive on that trip. So, on any one of these huge boats, there will be people from several different dive ops. After six days of full day dive trips, I never saw a guide with more than 5 divers, though. Nearly all of them were 1-3, with a couple of 4's. Only once did I see a guide with 5. So, while there may be 40 divers on the boat, around 1/3 of them are guides. And, most dive sites are large and spread out enough so that everyone isn't on top of each other. The only times this became an issue is on wall dives, and understandably so, because... well... There's nowhere else for everyone to go. Very few of the dives were like that, though, so no worries. Anyway, now that I've explained how it works, here's why to book with Steven. Not only are his prices more than reasonable, but he will be sure you get what you are wanting out of the trip, and knows all of the various operations in the area like nobody else. He also went above and beyond on many occasions for me. After my last second destination pivot and travles, my head was apparently up my arse for a few days. One day, I somehow left my mask on one of the boats. He was able to get it from them and had it ready for me on the boat I was on the next morning. Forgot my dive watch in my room one day because I was charging it... No problem, as they provided a backup gauge for me. Anyway, long story short, if you're looking to do some diving in the area (They also do liveaboard stuff too), get in touch with them. You won't regret it. Thanks again for all your help Steven.

        Helpful, efficient, and friendly
Did not dive with the shop directly, but they assisted me in booking a trip on the Oktavia liveaboard in the Similan islands. Steven answered all my questions & was super friendly and accommodating. I would recommend asking about the last minute deals he can offer for liveaboards! The boat he put me on was top notch with a wonderful crew and clean comfortable rooms. I would not hesitate to use his company again. Thanks so much!

One of the best dives I have undertaken
The dive crew, the dive master Steven were the key people who made the dive my most memorable. Steven especially with his sense of humor, patience and an eye for details fine tuned my diving skills making me more confident for future dives. The dive sites were picturesque and the constant supply of food and drinks on the dive boat fueled the excursion to some of the best dive sites I have ever been to. Do go for this dive trip to experience one of the best adventures Thailand has to offer.

I was a little disappointed with this tour. It states in the title that it is a snorkeling/diving trip but this is a scuba diving trip. I was one of three people who were snorkeling out of 30 other people who were diving. The whole boat received a safety briefing. Divers were separated into groups and I was not spoken to from any instructor until divers were already off the boat. I was provided with equipment and then again was left alone. Each stop was about 40-45 minutes. The best part of the tour was the food, we were fed each break and it was delicious. But, again I was disappointed with the tour. I felt like I paid a hefty price for an isolated snorkeling tour. All the divers were given safety briefings and had people taking videos and photos for them. I was not told of what fish to look for or what I might see. I was not given much direction on where to go. If you are a solo traveler and are looking for other travelers to snorkel with, this is not the tour. The boat was beautiful and I liked that there was a dry area. The last spot of the day was beautiful and I saw two sea turtles and more of a variety of fish. The current was a little stronger in the last spot and deep so make sure you are a confident swimmer.

Hi Marybeth, Sorry to hear you were a bit disappointed, but the positive points make me happy. As mentioned, it is snorkeling on a diving trip, where snorkelers get personal attention. You should have received a safety briefing, if that is not the case my apologies. Photos are something guides sometimes do, myself I never do it for example, and the customers pay extra, normally around 1,500 Baht, if they want to buy the photos of the diveguide. Apparently you were also not given much guidance on what to do and where to go by the guide, and the guide should also have briefed and debriefed you on things to see. I will address these issues with the guide, again my apologies for that. Thanks, Steven

Firstly, we did not receive what we paid for. In the description and title, it states that we would go to Racha Noi to snorkel, but we didn’t go there. Instead, we snorkeled twice at the same spot (three times in total at Racha Yai), which we were not informed about before we were on the boat. Thus, we didn’t get to see Racha Noi. We have been told afterwards that it was due to “engine failure”, which of course is bad luck if right. But why should we pay the full price then? They don’t care and didn’t even give us the decision to cancel.

Other than that, the food was okay, and the divers are main characters.

Conclusion: Poor trip considering the price, we are disappointed.

Also, please note that the crew tried to make us feel bad by letting us know that not leaving any tip wouldn’t be okay - a trip this expensive shouldnt be like this way…

We enjoyed being on a larger boat (with a bathroom) and many spots to stretch our legs during the trip to the snorkeling spots.

We didn't mind sharing the boat with mostly divers (80%). As soon as they were set in the water we were able to get in. This was our 8 year old daughter's first real snorkeling trip. She was nervous at first but our snorkeling guide, Sophii was great with her. She even brought out a few laminated sheets to show us what fish, coral and other creatures we could possibly see. She even brought a life jacket for our daughter to float on when she needed a rest. We were able to see a giant eel, hawksbill sea turtle and many beautiful fish while snorkeling.

The only con was the breakfast, we were told not to eat at our hotel before getting picked up because it was available on the boat. When breakfast was served, it was just a sandwich and a banana. Although they did offer fresh fruit throughout the day. Lunch was okay but was too spicy for our daughter. Maybe bring a few of your own snacks on board.

The 3 snorkeling spots were gorgeous... we were very happy we selected this tour. We would definitely use this Snorkeling company again!

Hi Erica, Thanks very much for your comments, and I'm really glad to hear you had a good day. Breakfast is more limited at the moment than it used to be die to the Covid restrictions, however there still is a choice of sandwiches and yes, fruits are available. Personally I enjoy this breakfast, probably because I don't eat this at home, but that is personal. There are several dishes served for lunch, and there are always non spicy choices. But yes, it does happen that one prefers certain dishes, I don't eat fish for example, and that does limit the choice. Sandwiches and toaster are available all through the day, as are fresh foods, so no-one needs to be hungry. Thanks again, and I hope to see you again.

Our tour guide, Aup (?), was amazing. Even though we were the only official snorkelers and everyone else were divers, he always paid special attention to us throughout the whole trip, not just at the specific dive places. He was really good at pointing out the good sights and was knowledgeable when we asked him about the animals and such. They gave us lots of food, lowkey more than i expected, that was really good. The swim spots themselves were amazing. even though one of them was obviously catered for the divers, it was still amazing as a snorkeler. At these islands there was hardly anyone there, atleast when we went. at 2 of the spots we were the only boat in the coves.

If your into scuba this is a great tour. I really enjoyed it and my favourite was the last spot where we saw a shipwreck. Food was great and had a total of 3 meals on board so never was hungry. It is a long one so be prepared to be out at sea for most of the day! Definitely recommend it for underwater exploration.

This was a well run and well organised tour. We stopped three times at different spots and had plenty of time in the water. Being on the boat with the divers was fine. We ended up with a guide just for the 4 in our family. There was no site seeing but we done that previously, soon just relaxed on the boat.

Absolutely loved this experience. Good gear and great drop spots. Whilst we only snorkelled, we were pretty much left to our own devices which suited us fine. Friendly dive instructors did give us tips on best locations for viewing. Food on this trip was fabulous. Thank you to the solitary chef catering for everyone so well!

The snorkeling is linked to a scuba diving trip but as my family are a little too young for that the snorkeling was perfect and a great introduction to swimming in the reefs of Thailand.
The boat we were on was the Freedom Dolphin and I have to say it is kept in an excellent condition and the organization is great. My compliments to the Capitan and crew for running an excellent trip.

A beautiful day at sea with a great crew. The boat is a diving ship with everything you need for diving. We were just snorkeling. The spots were nice, they were well looked after. It wasn't too crowded either, there was no stress. The crew consisted mainly of Australians and the instructions were easy to understand. Recommended.
Highly recommended trip, good crew, taking care, not so crowded spots. It was a great experience.

Got picked up by minivan and taken to Chalong pier where we joined up with the rest of the travellers. As stated this trip is on a proper dive boat and about 30 people on tbe boat of which I think about 7 snorkellers, the rest divers. Our group of 4 snorkellers met our snorkelling guide and we all got on the boat. Once tbe boat got underway there was a safety briefing and general information about tbe trip. After the briefing a self serve breakfast was available. Eggs, coffee, tea, water, softdrinks available. Travelled to racha yai first stop. The divers were all unloaded first then the snorkellers were free to jump in. Boat anchored off shore so the snorkelling is not off the beach. Beautiful water, quite a lot of fish, not shallow so I feel you need to be confident in tbe water. About 45 mins stop, then divers loaded on and then snorkellers to move on to tbe next stop. The boat was very well organised so no problems wuth divers or snorkellers tripping over each other. Next spot racha noi. Again same procedure. Enjoyed the snorkelling. Again off the boat, water beautiful. After another 45 to 50 minute snorkel, everyone loaded on and travelled back to a different spot off racha yai. During this travel lunch was served. Thai syle kfc, somtam, larb dish, a mild curry dish, rice. Bananas, pineapple, watermelon. Tea, coffee, soft drinks, water available at all times. Enjoyed the food and plenty for everyone.
Reached our last dive/snorkel spot off rachai yai, last spot was the best. Saw moray eels, nemo, plenty of fish. Water was beautiful, great visibility. Another 45 mins or so of snorkelling. After everyone back on the boat, fresh pancakes were available for everyone along with more fruits, muffins. Food was fantastic.
Really enjoyed this tour as it enabled some serious snorkelling, not just a token 40 mins like most day trips. Didnt matter that there were mainly divers on board. Plenty of room on board and the trip was well organised. We had our own snorkel guide and the main organiser of the boat all looked after us. So i didnt find it a problem at all.you sat wherever you wanted and talked to whoever you wanted . The guides were all quite passionate about the need to protect marine life and the environment which was great to hear.. Also very impressed that on the boat the cold water was available by a dispenser in drinking mugs not by individual plastic bottles which cuts down so much waste. Well done. The dive boat I think called Dolphin had upstairs and downstairs inside was a dry area so could keep out of the sun. Found this trip very enjoyable, especially for keen experienced snorkellers. If you want to spend time with a mixture of snorkelling and sitting on beach then look for another trip. But rachai yai was fabulous and overall found this trip excellent.
