If you're over 25, give this one a BIG miss. A day trip chock full of pointless activities enjoyable for callow adolescents only. I mean, life jackets for snorkeling? WTF?

quad bikes were old and the period of time was very short. Zip line was good though only a 90kg limit. the best part of or day was the white water rafting for 7 klm's, the two guides that we had were fantastic.

Really appreciated this day tour to Chiang Rai! Of course it was a very long day (between 13-14 hours) - it has to be given how far Chiang Rai is from Chiang Mai. But we saw a lot, our guide was absolutely lovely, and we had a great day. Would recommend this tour if you don't have enough time to stay in Chiang Rai itself.

This is a long day if you're starting in Chiang Mai. The white wat is stunning from the outside and is the highlight of the day by far. It's been beautifully built but is very modern. There are some lovely other buildings in the grounds. The national artist has a separate section and clearly he loves himself with the amount of sculptures and pictures of himself around the place. The blue wat is also beautiful from the outside but is less impressive inside. As for the black houses, this is an interesting collection of old buildings but you can't go into most of them and it gets a bit repetitive. The main building has a lot of paintings and furniture but it won't be for everyone's taste. Not worth coming all the way from Chiang Mai if this is your only destination but if you're including other sites nearby, probably worth a 45 minute stop. I noticed a number of other reviewers commenting on the speed of the drivers. Ours clearly thought he was in a formula 1 racing car and drove in straight lines on some twisty sections of the mountain highway. That said, he was safe but if you're a nervous passenger, you might want to sit way in the back of the van.

This is a great shorter trip booked via our tour operator TUI. Definitely an eye opener with the way people live in the canals. It was a small group tour which was great with taxi drop offs and pick ups running seamlessly. Definitely recommend.

Very well organised from hotel pick up to drop off, there was even breakfast supplied which was unexpected. Instructions given in multiple languages and thankfully reef shoes for sale because the ground is covered in sharp rocks. We were on 'Team Spicy' and he was absolutely amazing...we had the best time and finished the day exhausted and with many happy memories. Thanks Spicy...you made the day even more special!

DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR! If you're late to the pick up location, you WILL be left behind. I got very lost during our stop on Phi Phi island, I had no number to call for the boat so I made every effort to get to the meeting spot. By the time I made my way the boat was gone. No one tried to contact me, and they had no intention of coming back for me. I was left on the island at night by myself with no clean dry clothes and no where to stay. No more boats were leaving that night so I had to hire a private boat for 10,000 baht ($440 AUD) to get back to the mainland so I could make my flight home the following day. When I finally got a hold of someone from the agency I was yelled at and told it was all my fault and that they would not take any responsibility. The best they offered was to collect me 24hrs later when the next tour came to the island. I have never been so scared, I was literally sobbing on the phone and they refused to help me.

The guide was hard to understand, short and did not have a lot of detailed information on the temples. The driver was driving fast around corners making others feel unsafe. I would not recommend this tour again.

Itinerary of the day as described. Friendly staff. We were packed in like sardines on the speed boat. Maya bay was so busy and like a conveyor belt of tourists walking round a guided path. The swimming and snorkelling opportunities were fab. Lunch was good and included in the price - it was at a private restaurant. You do follow lots of other speed boats doing the same thing. It was a long day door to door over 13 hours for us due to traffic.

Friendly tour guide and very clear to explain everyrthing. The driver also helpful & safe. The vehicle also clean and in good condition, its worth it

We did an island hopping adventure in the Ang Thong national marine park, where we visited 4 islands; - the first was snorkeling (the water was cloudy and waves choppy so that was a bust), - the second was one you could take a small hike to see ‘emerald lake’ or stay on the beach part and swim. This was maybe a 50m long beach. There was easily at least 500 people. It was not the peaceful scenic view advertised. Stayed about 40-60min. - the third was where we stopped for lunch … where the ocean was filled with trash, the land was filled with trash and the smell was overwhelming. We went back to the boat as soon as we could. We stayed over an hour here, it was awful. - and the final was another hike or stay on the beach … again, trash, less so, but still disgusting. And 90 mins here. This was a tour with a “max of 15 people”. There was about 70 people on our boat alone and at any of the stops there was 5-8 boats. You can imagine the hundreds, close to thousand people at these stops. The "light breakfast" was coffee and crackers, waiting at the pier for over an hour for all others to arrive, again, hundreds of people. The trip to the first island was 1 hour. It was 1 hour back too on the choppiest of waters, it was horrific.

Firstly, it is 12hours itenary where most of the times you are spending in the mini van and waiting before dam water released for rafting. Food is just average but I loved that chicken drumstick. We didnt even know who is our English speaking guide until at last stop monkey temple when a guy come and tell us about how long we have for this. And he showed us about a bad photo of a mediocre waterfall and asked us if we still wanna go with extra 40mins. There wasn't even any instructions about when and where to change clothes before rafting as well. And ATV is the worst of all, you bascially ride on man made track breathing in dust and diesel of ATV infront with man made scenery while hearing extremely loud and unpleasant engine noises while you need to follow the guide in line slowly begging for it to end.

What we saw was great. The guide was terrible. Didn't speak or understand English. Never told us anything about what we were visiting and even had to ask when and where he wanted us back. I'm a tour guide and he shouldn't be in this job. Totally worthless. The listing said English speaking tour guide. He was neither of these. I want a tour guide not a ride along tourist.

Was a very long van ride to get to atv ride which went for about 10 minutes (did not enjoy) Water rafting was awesome fun with great guides would recommend booking longest one Zip lines were a good laugh Lunch was terrific The monkeys on way back was more fun than I could have imagined The main let down for this was one party had booked an extra activity so we had to wait around for agais to leave

We really enjoyed the the The White Temple , Blue Temple, The Long Neck Village even the hot springs where kinda interesting and a good stop for a washroom break. This part of the trip took about a 12 hour trip from Chaing Mai. We then did a boat tour of the golden triangle this added an additional 3 hours on to the trip. The boat we rode on was not nice, old and uncomfortable. This part of the tour was NOT worth it at all. The bus that we where on for 14 hours was NOT at all comfortable at all. On the way back we stopped to get a snack at 8pm at a 7 eleven it was discussing. We had lunch earlier that day at 12. Overall, I would recommend the first half of this trip, not boat tour.
