          Great experience
This cooking class was amazing. You don’t just learn to cook one meal, but several different dishes. Aim is lovely and funny. The food tasted so good, we can’t wait to try the recipes at home. Also the location is very peaceful. We recommend.

          A day full of adventures!
They came to meet us directly at our hostel. During the morning we went on a jungle hike to a waterfall. Our guide was always attentive to our safety, he explained to us about the type of vegetation we were passing through and we were even lucky enough to see a tarantula! We then moved to the elephant sanctuary for lunch. After a delicious pad Thai we prepared food for the elephants and many things were explained to us about their habits and living conditions at the sanctuary. We were very happy to see that the elephants had no chains and seemed calm and comfortable. After feeding them we accompanied them to the river where we were able to bathe with them and help them cover themselves in mud. Last part of the day: a one-hour rafting trip! Very fun and refreshing and finally a chance to shower and change before heading back to Chiang Mai. And as a bonus, our guide took many beautiful photographs of our group throughout the day which he then shared with us. So one can completely focus on all the wonderful adventures of the day without thinking about cell phone and souvenir photos.

          An excellent elephant experience
This trip was excellent. Our guide, Big, didn’t have great English but made up for it with his cheerful enthusiasm. The drive to the location took about 90 minutes, each way. We started with a trek to the waterfall, which definitely needs decent footwear and a good sense of balance, for some of the river crossings on the way. It needs reasonable levels of fitness, but wasn’t hard going. I’m in my 50s and had no trouble. The water by the waterfall was too shallow for swimming, but it was great fun, splashing around under the waterfall and allowing the water to cascade over you. We had a simple Pad Thai lunch and then fed the elephants some bamboo and sugar cane. We then changed to go bathing the elephants, splashing them with water and rubbing them down, before giving them a mud bath. They were very friendly animals, but you need to be aware of them at all times, as they might not pay much attention to you. The final boat trip had a few very exciting stretches of rapids, but was mostly along calm stretches of river. It was easy enough for an unskilled crew of tourists, but with a couple of moments where it felt like it might go wrong. Every part of the trip was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.

          Magical
Our tour guide, Ping Pong, was really funny and helpful. It was a magical experience, the elephants are well looked after and there were many photo opportunities. The trekking is not for those with 2 left feet, like myself, but Ping Pong was really helpful and made sure I didn’t fall off a cliff.

          Best Day Ever!!
Best day we had in Thailand without a doubt! Fantastic in every aspect from pick up at our Hotel the journey to and from and everything in between! The Trekking was a little difficult at times but that added to the excitement, the Elephant Sanctuary was amazing and so reassuring that they were truly loved and cared for, and topped off with the best White Water Rafting full of great views and laugh a minute experience! Don’t think about it just book it….you will love it! Great value for money into the bargain!

          Fascinating experience
This was an interesting and fascinating experience to see the elephants in the sanctuary. The place had 5 elephants ranging from 39-65 years in age. We got to chop the banana bark and sugarcane and feed them to the elephants. We also got to walk them to the river for a bath followed by a mud bath. You get to really interact with the elephants and experience their playfulness. We were told that the elephants are allowed to roam freely in the evening and night. While the overall experience was a lot of fun you are left wondering if even this level of interaction in the name of tourism is valid. It takes a lot of money to feed and maintain the elephants and that the food from the sanctuary keeps them from raiding the surrounding farms for food.

          A fantastic quasi adventure
Let me start off by saying normally I don’t write reviews. However, this adventure was so spectacular and special that I was compelled to write a stunning review. I have to admit I was skeptical about booking through TripAdvisor. I was extremely impressed with the staff, how friendly and committed they are to the elephants and had an amazing time I would highly recommend and suggest this adventure for everyone who is capable of enjoying the outdoor natural environment. Guys and the individuals who work on the preserve are so caring, considerate and compassionate for both human and animal.

          Find an alternative tour
Unfortunately I can’t recommend this tour. My friend and I were really excited for this but the tour guide was terrible. There was a general lack of information, and we began the day with a long trek to the waterfall which was more difficult than anticipated. I appreciate my friend and I aren’t great trekkers but we were expecting some support/guidance from our tour guide but instead he was way ahead of the group and often not in sight, leaving us to rely on the other more experienced hikers in the group, otherwise there would have been injuries. Adding to this, the tour guide made inappropriate comments about the support we (two females) were receiving which made us uncomfortable and frankly very annoyed! There was a lack of information about what was happening in the day which resulted in a delay for the white water rafting as most of our tour did not have the correct clothing, it was left on the bus that we were told you be available before beginning the water activity. We ended up waiting around for 30mins for the bus before beginning the activity. When at the elephant sanctuary our tour guide couldn’t answer our questions about the elephants which makes me wonder how ethical the sanctuary is. There is no information on the elephants, their history, why they are at the sanctuary etc. instead we were given generic information about Asian and African elephants, including further inappropriate jokes. The only positive was our tour group were lovely and helpful. White rafting was fun when we eventually started, and the safety procedures and supporting staff for this were fab! The lunch provided was tasty. However, I feel you can find a much better tour.

A great day with the elephants
We would have given this a 5 but for the poor coordination of the pick up and transfer to the site. The experience with the elephants was awesome.

          Amazing day
Our day started with the hike due to the forecasted rain in the afternoon. We were pleasantly surprised at how challenging it was. The lunch was simple but delicious. We loved being able to get very close to the elephants. The rafting was a lot of fun.

I love elephants and this was an experience of a life time. I went with my 25 yr old son and he raved about it as well! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, very funny and accommodating. I would recommend this trip to everyone. It’s a must see!

          Made some awesome memories!!!
We had SO much! The hike to the falls was amazing!!! I'm 60 yr old and some areas we hiked were a little dicey, but the tour guide kept me safe! The elephants were awesome and I like that our being there did nothing to hurt them, but they seemed to enjoy us! My daughter even got a kiss from one of the elephants! The guides really went above and beyond to ensure we all had a great experience. Our tour group started out as strangers, but we were laughing and singing songs together on the ride home!

A very nice day tour to the Doi Inthanon National Park. The tour guide was super enthusiastic and always made sure everyone was safe and comfy. However, the tour was fully booked and so the transport van was quite crowded. If you tend to get carsick this might be a bit of an issue because the mountain road is quite curvy. A good lunch and water were provided. Visiting the Karen village felt a bit odd to us, because we practically went through their homes and it had a somewhat "zoo-like" feeling to it. In summary it was a typical tourist-tour, so if you prefer a more individual experience, this might not be for you.

Noi was an incredible tour guide, she spoke good English and explained the significance of each of the sites that we visited. My friend and I booked it late in the evening (11pm) for the very next day and they were very accommodating to us being so last minute. We were a group of 5 individuals and she made sure that everyone was doing well throughout the day and encouraged us to ask as many questions as we wanted. I would highly recommend this day trip if you are looking for something to do outside of the city, as my friend and I were all spent seeing temples in the old town. The rain forest walkway was beautiful and from the top of the King and Queen's temples, you will have a great view of the valley below. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely won't disappoint.

This was a great experience and highly recommended. Our tour guide Leela was incredibly helpful, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. She did a great job of communicating throughout the day not only giving us info on the sites but also keeping us updated on the itinerary throughout the day. She paid attention to detail and offered tips and advice through the day at each of our stops. The tour driver was also very helpful and friendly. Most importantly he was a very safe driver. We felt very safe and comfortable throughout the drive even as we saw other cars and vans swerving and passing on blind corners.

Great experience with a very entertaining and funny tour guide. Ekk did a great job guiding us through the entire trip and providing us with many "secrets" and gossip about the places we visited. All the spots we went to were beautiful and interesting. The lunch was so good!
You won't be bored, I was traveling solo and I had a great time. It was a group of 8 or 9 people and Ekk made sure that everyone was okay during the trip. The highest spot isn't that cold but maybe a windbreaker would be a good idea and wear some hiking shoes or some other sturdy shoes because you'll be doing some minor hiking and the area around the water falls is wet and muddy. Lastly, many winding and curvy roads going up the mountain, if you get motion sickness bring something to help you with that. You'll feel it on the way back because there are no stops from the fruit market (last stop) back to the city center. Do this trip when in Chiang Mai and if you get Ekk, you won't be bored!

Kuhn Nui was our travel guide and Kuhn Thor was our driver. Both performed their jobs with great care and professionalism. Kuhn Nui took the time to explain in detail what we were seeing and fully answered our questions. We were very impressed with the visit to the village where the fruits of the Royal Project was in full living display. We enjoyed the coffee trees and the great explanation on how local coffee is grown, harvested and prepared. Kuhn Thor was a a great driver and did an outstanding job navigating the sometimes narrow and winding local roads. The scenery was beautiful?

Thank much to Kuhn Nui and Kuhn Thor

Travelling to Chiang Mai via sleeper train, we booked this trip on a last minute whim pretty much 12 hours before pick up was due. We didn’t arrive into Chiang Mai until 7.20am and pick up was due to be 8am however the tour company ensured we were the last pick up which gave us a bit of time to get washed and dressed before hand. Pia and our driver picked us up on a lovely air conditioned mini bus with a group of 9 in total - lots of different nationalities taking the tour too. We then traveled to Don Inthanon stopping at a service station on the way, with a coffee shop, iced tea shop and plenty of other places to get refreshments and a clean Fully functioning toilet! Both of the waterfalls we visited were amazing and Pia was always on hand for photos and information about each one. She was so enthusiastic and funny too! Couldn’t have been more helpful. Following the waterfalls we stopped at a Karen tribe village, had a go at grinding coffee and of course sampling and then had a tour around the village before lunch. We’re vegetarian and this was fully catered for with a lovely set menu. The restaurant also had a fully functioning toilet. From here we went up to the highest point in Thailand and did a bike of a ‘hike’ (more like a casual walk so don’t worry if that isn’t your thing!). The penultimate stop was the pagodas which we had an hour to enjoy and finally a fruit and nut market with local produce from the mountain. We had an amazing day, and would encourage anyone to do this tour, even straight off an overnight train! Altitude wise it is high, but I have asthma and wasn’t affected at all, and the walking is all really leisurely - I wouldn’t say you need to be overly fit for it. Pia was an absolute pleasure and can’t recommend this tour enough! Our driver was also lovely and felt safe always.

This was a fantastic excursion. Activities included:

        1. Visit to Wachirathan Waterfall.
        2. Visit to Karen Tribe (Mae Klang Luang) with a coffee making demonstration and tasting session.
        3. Local Thai lunch.
        4. Visit to Doi Inthanon National Park & Temples.
        5. Visit to Thailand’s highest point.
        6. Visit to a local market in Chom Thong.

The 6 in our group were collected from our respective Chiang Mai hotels and transported approximately 1.5 hours south west in a comfortable minibus. Our tour guide, Leela, was absolutely brilliant. She spoke perfect English and during the journey gave an introductory talk on each of the sites we were to visit. At each site, Leela gave further explanations about the historical significance and was happy to answer any questions the group had for her.

Each site was fascinating and beautiful. The whole day provided excellent value for money in my opinion, with multiple sites visited and a delicious Thai lunch included. I would happily recommend this excursion to anyone visiting the north of Thailand, and if they’re lucky they’ll have Leela as their tour guide too!

We were a little skeptical before booking but the tour was worthwhile. Left at 8 am, returned 6 pm, and saw a mix of natural sites like waterfalls and some cultural sites, including lunch in Karen folk village. Guide was good, driver was competent, vehicle was comfortable. Total group of 8 people. Only down-side was the next to last stop at the twin king&queen pagodas which the guide had described as the highlight of the tour. They are large modern pagodas set in formal flower garden with a view towards the plains below. Lacking any interesting cultural, historical or natural features. They were build by the military who still manage the site and collect the ticket money. We spent a full hour there but only needed 30 minutes.

Definitely book this trip if you want to see the natural wonders of northern Thailand! We were picked up promptly for the day in a very nice air conditioned van and our adventure began! I really especially loved the historical voiceovers from our guide which gave us perspective as we went through the National Park and the Pagodas. The waterfall was especially gorgeous and I'm so glad we got to go there! After stopping at the National Park and the waterfalls, we actually went into a town that was in the Park as well. I suppose I really didn't read the reviews fully on this but WOW i loved this part of the tour. We really got to see what "normal" life looks like in this region. I also loved seeing the rice fields and how vibrant they were. It felt like we were being welcomed into a tiny town - with a little coffee shop and a restaurant. Neither were really "marked" as such (as we would expect) so it felt like we were truly in someone's home. Lastly, we had free time at the Pagodas to end the afternoon, which were beautiful. Don't hesitate and just book this trip! It's worth every penny.

Booking was easy & i receive the trip details almost immediately. Our tour guide Piano, WhatsApp me a day before the tour to confirm the meetup location & reminded me to bring a jacket as the weather can be cold up in the mountains.

On tour day we were picked up on time by Piano & driver Pino. Both very cheerful & friendly. They got us some local fruits (monkey apples) & snacks to try.

The tour is easy & suitable also for young kids or elderly.
I have an injured ankle and have no trouble walking to the places of interests, albeit a little slower.

The roads to Doi Inthanon are narrow & windy, and driver Pino was very careful to navigate the turns.

My family enjoyed the day very much.
