About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- LuciaHall660 contributionsChang Rai Day tripPick up between 7-7.30 this is a long day trip. Drove up to Chang Rai with stop at hot springs, don't put your feet in like I did, you can boil an egg in the water. White Temple, blue temple and black museum all fabulous and well worth although longer time would be good you have to run round as only got 30m at each place as nothing near each other. Stopped at Hill tribes place, they are colourful and lots of stuff to buy. Then trip on Mekong river golden triangle which was great. The only downfall was the long drive back. May be an idea to start there and work backwards so nearer to home. GuideS were good Aom was lovely, driver was very good but fast, however glad he was getting back. Only issue I had was it was a buffet lunch and salad two things my oncologist told me not to partake in so was starving. Didn't know till after I could have booked off of a menu which would have been ok if freshly cooked. So if you have medical issues take your own packed lunch or you will starve.Written 6 January 2025
- Jo I0 contributionsLovely islands but quite busy as expected. The islands are lovely. The jet skis so close to the shore are smelly, noisy and ruin the serenity of the islands. The speedboat and staff were great. The very long van trip to the port was not great- it would be better if you advised tourists of this in advance.Written 19 December 2024
- 145smithap0 contributionsToo long a journeyThe vehicle was not at all comfortable and it was a long long drive. We did not even get enough time to see the white temple. It should have been better to avoid golden triangle viewingWritten 6 December 2024
- H9968ITdanr0 contributionsNice and pragmaticOverall a nice tour. They are well organised and do a good job keeping you informed about whats happening, safety etc. Some might feel that the tour is a little rushed, but we liked that because then the trip doesn't go on forever. When snorkeling you only see coral graveyards, but the fish are still pretty and colorful. The people on the islands are a little pushy about selling you chairs/drinks/jetski rides. The tour team are sympathetic and put in a lot of effort. For me overall a nice experience!Written 29 November 2024
- Aftab Anwer B0 contributionsExcellent visit to phuketGood visit to phi phi island phuket. It was a useful visit. The boat needs to be cleaner and more comfortable. Lot of attra tions in phi phi.Written 27 November 2024
- wahwah20170 contributionsExcellent Good fun. Loads of species from shrimps to giant sharks. Also snakes, lizards and chameleons etc. There are three main tunnels to walk through where sharks, sting rays, stone fish, grouper, clown fish, angel fish and a whole host of other fish. There is also an excellent coffee bar where get delicious smoothies or cold beers.Written 3 November 2024
- 720bettef0 contributionsMassive con and waste of moneyThe whole day was bad from the start. Total of 6 and 1/2 hours travelling just for 1hr 20 min activities. Specified to booking that didn’t want to do elephant trekking only bathing/feeding elephants but then forced to stop at elephant trekking to sit in the van whilst rest of group done the trekking. Charged money for things when it says included in leaflet (it said 10 free photos and a video for rafting) Then when spoke to owner about it he just said that’s the old programme and he has made new leaflets and to take it up with who you booked it with. Didnt get back to hotel until 8pm so majority of the day is spent either travelling or sitting around. Just to top it all off me and 3 other members of my family got food poisoning from the food at rafting. Do not recommend as a huge waste of money and a day.Written 30 October 2024
- andrewbS6757VN0 contributionsStrictly for the KidsIf you're over 25, give this one a BIG miss. A day trip chock full of pointless activities enjoyable for callow adolescents only. I mean, life jackets for snorkeling? WTF?Written 4 September 2024
- Paradise7298960 contributionsoverall not badquad bikes were old and the period of time was very short. Zip line was good though only a 90kg limit. the best part of or day was the white water rafting for 7 klm's, the two guides that we had were fantastic.Written 28 August 2024
- natashacV8176LJ0 contributionsLong day but awesome tour!Really appreciated this day tour to Chiang Rai! Of course it was a very long day (between 13-14 hours) - it has to be given how far Chiang Rai is from Chiang Mai. But we saw a lot, our guide was absolutely lovely, and we had a great day. Would recommend this tour if you don't have enough time to stay in Chiang Rai itself.Written 7 August 2024
- Martin H0 contributionsA Long DayThis is a long day if you're starting in Chiang Mai. The white wat is stunning from the outside and is the highlight of the day by far. It's been beautifully built but is very modern. There are some lovely other buildings in the grounds. The national artist has a separate section and clearly he loves himself with the amount of sculptures and pictures of himself around the place. The blue wat is also beautiful from the outside but is less impressive inside. As for the black houses, this is an interesting collection of old buildings but you can't go into most of them and it gets a bit repetitive. The main building has a lot of paintings and furniture but it won't be for everyone's taste. Not worth coming all the way from Chiang Mai if this is your only destination but if you're including other sites nearby, probably worth a 45 minute stop. I noticed a number of other reviewers commenting on the speed of the drivers. Ours clearly thought he was in a formula 1 racing car and drove in straight lines on some twisty sections of the mountain highway. That said, he was safe but if you're a nervous passenger, you might want to sit way in the back of the van.Written 20 April 2024
- PaulineK50 contributionsGreat experience on the long boat and eye opening down the side canals. This is a great shorter trip booked via our tour operator TUI. Definitely an eye opener with the way people live in the canals. It was a small group tour which was great with taxi drop offs and pick ups running seamlessly. Definitely recommend.Written 31 March 2024
- 633pennyh0 contributionsTeam Spicy on PhiPhiVery well organised from hotel pick up to drop off, there was even breakfast supplied which was unexpected. Instructions given in multiple languages and thankfully reef shoes for sale because the ground is covered in sharp rocks. We were on 'Team Spicy' and he was absolutely amazing...we had the best time and finished the day exhausted and with many happy memories. Thanks Spicy...you made the day even more special!Written 23 February 2024
- 698karlih0 contributionsTHE BOAT LEFT ME ON PHI PHI ISLAND!DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR! If you're late to the pick up location, you WILL be left behind. I got very lost during our stop on Phi Phi island, I had no number to call for the boat so I made every effort to get to the meeting spot. By the time I made my way the boat was gone. No one tried to contact me, and they had no intention of coming back for me. I was left on the island at night by myself with no clean dry clothes and no where to stay. No more boats were leaving that night so I had to hire a private boat for 10,000 baht ($440 AUD) to get back to the mainland so I could make my flight home the following day. When I finally got a hold of someone from the agency I was yelled at and told it was all my fault and that they would not take any responsibility. The best they offered was to collect me 24hrs later when the next tour came to the island. I have never been so scared, I was literally sobbing on the phone and they refused to help me.Written 3 February 2024
- alexandraalexand0 contributionsTrip as describedItinerary of the day as described. Friendly staff. We were packed in like sardines on the speed boat. Maya bay was so busy and like a conveyor belt of tourists walking round a guided path. The swimming and snorkelling opportunities were fab. Lunch was good and included in the price - it was at a private restaurant. You do follow lots of other speed boats doing the same thing. It was a long day door to door over 13 hours for us due to traffic.Written 6 January 2024

First the positives: Matthew our tour guide was great. Both temples were simply beautiful and on the whole made the 12hr round trip very worth while. The lunch after the White temple was excellent thank you and could only be bettered by the blue ice-cream later on, just delicious!
For improvements: Whilst meeting the women of the Karen tribe was amazing, we didn’t expect the market stall context, or the hard sell from the non Karen tribe ladies (this felt a little uncomfortable). Also our driver drove very fast and a number of passengers in the mini bus found this unsettling.
On the whole though, a great day, thank you 😊

Enjoyed the tour overall. If your hotel is not listed on the list, contact them and they can arrange a pickup. We were about 10 people in total and everyone was very good at timing which helped us to move around quickly and finish the tour on time.
I noticed that other tour guides were giving more information in Baan Dam Museum and I ended up joining them while walking around lol

Great company and guide. Pick up starts at 7.00am from old town and not any other times stated (even if they confirm via email). Temples are stunning but lunch was cold. I hope the the annoying 22 year old French girl reads this. You annoyed everyone on the tour so thank you for your constant complaints, making the trip 1 hour longer than needed and selfishness throughout the day. But a real thanks to the great guide and driver.

If you’re looking for a small group tour, skip this one. We booked it because it said small max 10 people. However they pick you up in a van and then bring you to a location where there is a coach bus waiting - over 30+ people.
The tour started at 7am waiting for the van and was supposed to go 11 hours however we did not get back to the hotel until 9:45pm (15 hours). Lunch was provided however breakfast is on your own and so is dinner (ours was at the last rest stop -gas station). Try and eat prior or you will be very hungry and looking for food at rest stops.
The temples were great but certainly not worth a 15 hour trip. Very long day with a lot of waiting for the large group of people.

The guide was hard to understand, short and did not have a lot of detailed information on the temples. The driver was driving fast around corners making others feel unsafe. I would not recommend this tour again.

The white temple, the blue temple and the black house were good. Great architecture and we were very happy with the experience there.
But we were sort of compelled to go for an additional tour to the golden triangle, having to spend an extra 3 hours (and a few hundreds of THB). The guide did not ask whether we wanted to go or not, but just told us that we would go there. Then the guide asked us to sign a paper at the beginning of the tour, without any explanation, which read “we were happy with the long tour with no complaint”. At the end of the tour, we realized that it might have been meant to be our consent to go for the additional tour to the golden triangle…To be fair, we did not speak up or try to argue when the guide told us that we would go to the golden triangle, which we did not book, because we did not want to let the other people in the group down (we thought they all wanted to go), and we were not sure if the agent could have arranged to send us back after we finished our tour if other people in the group would like to go to the additional one. But the interesting thing was that, at the end when we talked to the other people in the group, none of them wanted to go, and we were all sort of compelled to go, and decided not to raise an issue for the same reason…
All in all, the white temple, the blue temple and the black house are worth visiting. Our favorite is the black house, where you can see amazing collections and architecture. We wish we could have spent more time there. The long neck village is good, and we fully respect the culture while we do not think we should encourage people to keep putting the heavy rings on the young girls (starting when they are seven) only to make their necks look long. The river tour at the golden triangle is ok, but the Laos island is not worth going. It is merely a small market selling mainly counterfeits…
As for the guide, she was enthusiastic and trying to entertain us, but her English was not good, so the information given was quite limited. She liked making fun of women and showed kind of discrimination against the “lady boys” by making jokes, which made us a little bit uncomfortable.
The lunch was ok, but just ok.
