We were very impressed by high level of organization, professionalism, security measures. Despite you are always in a group with other people, the staff assess your abilities and thus you have individual approach for everything. The photographer was also very professional, he did one of the best photos I have in my collection. Thank you, hope to see you again and will definitely recommend it to my friends.Written 4 March 2025

The guides went through all of the safety guidelines and expectations throughout our day. The food was great and it was a bonus that we could purchase pictures of our rafting fun that the photographer took (500thb). Highly recommend!Written 27 February 2025

- Compass619537878890 contributionsSuper fun and smooth experience!First of all the rafting was incredibly fun, and the safety was top notch! The guides were also great, and they made sure everyone was having a good time. It’s a bit pricey, but so worth it! Everything from transfer to safety briefing to rafting to lunch etc. ran like a well oiled machine, and we were never waiting for anything or anyone. Would highly recommend!Written 22 February 2025
- N722EQellent0 contributionsAwesome experienceThe experience was awesome. Was allowed to jump out of the raft and swim with elephants in the river. Also thrilling falling out of the raft when going down the rapids too!Written 21 February 2025
- S8562UTpaulm0 contributionsGreat Rafting experienceWell organised and very professional. We were picked up from our airbnb and driven for about 1 1/2 hours where there was coffee / tea and a safety briefing. The rafting was good fun with some decent white water but also some calm bits where you could swim if you wanted. The boat captains were very good and friendly with lots of safety cover on hand. After there were showers and lunch. Would definitely recommend.Written 17 February 2025
- Resort123885648200 contributionsGreat fun day! It’s a great trip, my boys enjoyed it very much. An air conditioned van picked us up from the hotel then it took around 55mins to go to the base. After the safety demonstration, lets the fun begin. We joined the 8km route and still it was really fun. Nice scenery with few exciting drops! Special thanks to O and thai who took care of us during the whole trip. I would recommend this trip to everyone.Written 14 February 2025

- 347anibale0 contributionsExcellenceFrom the pick up point to the drop off, everything was perfect. Even from the star they answered all my questions and came up with a plan so my younger daughter can enjoy. They delivered flawlessly all what was offered. Installations are very good. Even the final hot shower and plastic bags for wet clothes are just strong details of the whole package. You deserve people go to your tour.Written 9 February 2025
- andrewbA203NI0 contributionsTechnically challenging river, complete with elephantsIt was January so water levels were on the low side, but that accentuated the technical characteristics of the rapids. Some pretty good wave trains and quite a few class 3 and 4 rapids, in quick succession. Less floating and rowing required than in rivers I’ve run in California. Plus we saw elephants 😀. Safety was emphasized, with two kayaks following six boats. Overall it was a fun experience.Written 13 January 2025

- irinasS6569SF0 contributionsThrilling rafting experienceThe whitewater adventure with 8Adventures was amazing: very well organized and fun from start to finish. We did the 10km route (that includes the most intense rapids) and we’d recommend this option to anyone who isn’t afraid of swimming and likes a bit of a thrill. The team that was supervising the rafting was extremely professional and took safety seriously. In addition to the required information session, throughout the rafting we were guided by a skilled captain who would give us simple commands on when to row and when to get down and hold on. At all times, we were followed by trained professionals in kayaks ready to fish anyone out who’s fallen in the water. The rafting itself was super fun! The adrenaline of it all and the unforgettable experience of floating through the beautiful jungle. Great activity to do as a family, as a couple or with friends. Oh, and they’ll take pictures for you! Finally, in terms of logistical details, everything from prompt pick up to free cocoa to a plentiful lunch with fruit was super well thought out. Highly recommend!Written 10 January 2025

It was great fun to all of us. We are so glad that we have chosen 8 ADVENTURES for our ATV trip.
The staff are so nice, professional and caring during the whole trip. The ATV gear is so protective and professional compared with other groups.
We definitely will advertise and recommend 8 ADVENTURES group to my friends who will go to Chiamgmai.

I've done other ATV Adventures in some really cool places and they all bring something unique and awesome to the experience. This was no exception, and maybe even a standout.
This adventure was sorta split into two parts.
We departed the facility - beautiful and on the river - and essentially did some "practice" riding around. But riding around in and near the river, more excitedly around the Elephant Sanctuary in the area. So yah, we ATVed and saw tons of elephants. So much so that there were hand commands to shut down the ATVs if the elephants approached as to not frighten them. And we used that command as two elephants walked by us! That alone was incredible.
After that, lasting 45 minutes/1 hour we were told that we'd be going up a mountain into one of the local mountain villages. Thus initiating the second part. Which was equally as fun and incredible and really different from any other at. Adventure id done in the past.
A lot of incline and dirt roads gave this a real rustic, rural feel. We had two support team members with us, one leading and one following, both were incredible. We ascended the mountain and stopped in the village for a bathroom break + views. And wow. It was just incredible. Views we would have entirely missed otherwise. Even getting into the village was an experience in and of itself. The homes were different and lovely and beautiful to see. We stayed up there enjoying some water and relaxation before the descent. It was an adventure id recommend if you're looking for something different and fun and just overall enjoyable.
Having both support staff with us was very helpful - I needed a little boost over a large divit and another drover in the group needed a quick swap out.
They both were supportive in watering/cooling down the break during the descent as it was extremely steep and wearing on those breaks.
Overall it was a phenomenal day, long as you're driven outside the city , but beyond worth it. The driver to get there was great, the staff at the facility was supportive and great, and as I've said already the team with our small group was perfect! Forgot to mention but there were only three (3) of us in the small group so it was intimate and perfect for not overwhelming the elephants+ not having to constantly wait for everyone to catch up.
The BBQ lunch at the end was delicious - surprisingly good!
I was told to bring clothes to change into in case of mess (that was needed on a different ATV tour I took) but this wasnt a muddy ride. Just dusty so I recommend facemask or covering. The facility did have places to change had it been necessary.

I was a little hesitant about the number of 5 star reviews, but we decided to go for it. Glad we did! My 16yo son and I (41m) had a blast. They picked us from the apartment in Chiang Mai, fed us lunch afterwards, and dropped us back at our door. The tour was a good mix of on and off road. There is some transit on paved roads to get to the good spots, but that's anything nowadays. We played in an area with tight curves, jumps, berms, and water. We passed elephant reserves and sugar cane fields. We went up the mountain and looked out over 1,000 aces of jungle. I'll be taking this tour again when my daughter arrives. Worth the $100 price tag. This ATV tour group was a well oiled machine with competent workers. NOTE: After 3 hours, our bums hurt a bit, esp coming down the mountain. They brought water for us, but bring a couple hundred Baht for the trip up the mountain to get a cool drink as you relax for 20 minutes enjoying the landscape.

The 3 hour ATV adventure was one of the highlights of our family trip! We had so much fun driving through the stunning countryside and visiting a village at the top of the hill. It had just rained that morning so things got quite muddy but that only added to the adventure and a quick powerwash of our shoes at the end had them clean again.
We really appreciated the level of service offered by 8Adventures. None of us had ridden ATVs before but we were provided with full body armour and helmets and did a few laps around the training area before we went off-roading. My mum was not as confident driving the ATV as she thought she'd be so they let her go at her own pace and assigned an instructor to her vehicle and had another team member following behind her for extra safety. My dad mentioned mangosteens in passing to another instructor and later they presented a bag of them to our group!
All in all this was such a memorable experience and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

Great practice area, tour, instructors and food. I recommend that you are confident in riding an atv since this tour was more for drivers that already have atv experience ( I had 2 before i did this one).
Great facilities, you can shower on the spot and they provide towels. Lockers are available the size is for gym bags (not to big). They also have umbrellas when its raining
I highly recommend to bring gym gloves or driving gloves. My skin was peeling of my inner side thumb because of the friction.
Food was good. I had fried chicken
Definitely worth it

My partner and I had a very fun time riding ATVs for the first time. 8Adventures provided transportation from Old City to their camp north of Chiang Mai where we were given a brief tutorial on how to operate our own vehicles before practicing in a smaller area. This really helped us feel comfortable with the ATVs before going out into more rugged terrain.
Riding the ATVs was real fun and I felt safe the entire time as there were multiple guides periodically checking that you’re not being left behind. The team also provided a very nice meal after the tour was over that really hit the spot after a big adventure. I feel that they gave us a good amount of time actually driving the vehicles, which I appreciate. I really recommend your first ATV adventure with 8Adventures!
One tip I can suggest is to bring a pair of sandals or crocs for your ride back as you may end up with wet socks after the tour.

The ATV adventure was an absolute blast from start to finish. The guides were awesome—super friendly and full of tips to keep us safe while still making the most of the rugged, off-road trails. Riding through muddy paths, up steep hills, and over rocky terrain was such an adrenaline rush, and the ATVs handled it all perfectly. The stops we made along the way gave us a chance to soak in the stunning scenery. 100% recommend and would jump at the chance to do it again!

It is a very worthwhile activity. When you come to Chiang Mai, you must arrange a day to participate in this activity. We only participated in ATV. After seeing the photos of people doing rafting, we regretted not signing up. It is recommended to participate in both ATV and rafting.
This company arranges everything from advance contact, hotel pick-up and drop-off, meal preparation, protective gear/kneepads and helmets, safety explanations and team leadership. Of course, you must speak English!

My girlfriend and I have now done multiple quad bike tours on our holidays. This is by far the best quad bike tour out there. This includes the service and the kindness of the instructors. We have chosen the 3 hour tour, which includes riding past the elephant sanctuary and then up a massive mountain. You get to use the quads on serious off roads, and have good time. The mountain trail is harder than the rider along the river, however, is more rewarding. The instructors will support you throughout the ride.

Hi, I was wondering about how long the actual ATV portion of this activity is. Thank you!
Written 4 March 2020
It was the full 3 hours as advertised, if not even a bit longer as I recall. It depends a bit on your skill level too, I have prior experience with off road motorcycles so I could keep a much faster pace than some people with little to none experience. But don't worry, they do a really good job to make sure everybody is happy and gets their full experience.
