      ok for an afternoon
nice view from the river during daylight. The boat engine is a bit noisy, beware if you sit in the back of the boat, and the sound system of the guide is not top. besides that, it is fun to have a different view of the buildings.

The guide and the tour were amazing! Thank you so much! It was quite touristic but nevertheless something to do. Enjoy your time there.

      Great Day
We had the best day. Our tour guide Tim was amazing. One of the highlights of our trip to Thailand. Would strongly recommend this half day tour!

      No a big deal
Almost 8 hours tour for just 2 simple rides. You gonna disconect from a busy Bangkok however you must deal with a crazy transit back and forth. Train is just a " few miles disney ride" where tourist take photos each others. A floating is just a " 20 min disney ride in slow motion ", dealing with a dirty canal waters.

      Excellent tour.
Guide Sara and Driver, exciting attractions. Guide Sara was very informative, speak good English, provided a lot of insignts into their language, culture and way of life and take care of her customers.. Even have laminated pictures of their local fruits and a map of Thailand to show where we will be going and which is the biggest city. Comfortable bus. Worth every cent.

      Can be better...
The plan is good but you spend more time in the car than in the places. Explore more time of the markets, allow at least one hour in every place and it will be better.

Fun but maybe find another tour
The markets were fun, but we didn’t get a ton of time to explore. The van headed over was very crammed. We got about 40 minutes at the railway market and about an hour at the floating market. Tour guide was just okay. Didn’t really add a ton of value to the tour other than making sure we gathered at the correct places and left on time.

      Market tour
Tour guide is great. Amy gave us great facts about the places we passed by on our way to the railway market. She was very well versed on how the food products came about. She encouraged us to take our time taking pictures. My mom also loved the mango sticky rice Amy gave us while we were on the floating market. Such a good tour!

Well worth a trip to see these markets and I came home with lots of clothes
Fantastic day in railway and floating markets. Lots of things to buy and the train ride to the station watching the salt farms go by. Very busy and crowded on our trip. I loved the floating market sipping a cold beer and snacking on pork sate

Great tour but markets were waste of time
So the tour was great and ran smoothly but going to the floating market was a waste of time. I would not go if you are limited on time. The railway market was better but still very crowded and the things they sold are nothing unique. But like I said the tour itself and guide were great. The best part was meeting new people!! I liked that we were in a group of 12!

      Floating Market Experience
Our guide was very friendly and informative. The coconut farm was a quick interesting and added bonus to the experience. The floating market is definitely for tourist. We went during the week so I expected it to be not as crowded but it still was. The actual boat ride could have been longer as we didn’t go past all the shops. My recommendation is pick the price you are willing to pay for your trinkets and souvenirs and go from there. The negotiating and back and forth with shop owners is a bit much. They pretty much sell the same items, would be nice if they could get together and diversify the offerings. We were told that this is a private floating market so the owners know what everyone is selling.

      Interesting Experience!
The tour had different components to it and surprisingly was well organized. Visiting and exploring the floating market was the highlight of the tour. It’s a must do experience while traveling to Bangkok. Just be aware that to see the railway market you have to ride a crowded train with no seat or aircon. But it was totally worth enduring the discomfort for one a kind experience.

      Fabulous tours
This trip was amazing. We booked it through Mr Thai travel who was near our hotel that we stayed in and their service was impeccable. Our guide was called Asia and she was fantastic and so knowledgeable. She explained everything during the tour and gave us some thai treats to sample along the way. The train was fantastic. We saw 2 trains coming through the market at 8.30am and then at 9am. It was very busy and you had to make sure you stood behind a line when the train slowly came and the sellers put their shades up when it came through. After that we drove to the floating markets and got on a small boat and this was a unique experience with the sellers and their wares on the side of the waterway. There was lots to see and they sold different things. After the boat ride we had time to walk around the market and then we had a second boat ride through the waterways that showed different houses . I highly recommend this tour when in Bangkok and also Mr Thai travel. There service was fantastic.

Cool water market, heavy sitting trip
The tour was fine because of the water market and our guide (I dont recall his name). The guide really worked hard to make us feel well and to control all was as planned, but the trip was exhausting. The 1 hour train makes no sense, no time to check the first market, neither to check the second one (at the water). We only had 20minutes which I used them to get some food inside. My summary, I left at 8am and came back at 16:00 and was sitting on a bus, train and boat for 8 out of 10 hours… Cheers.

The trip was well organized. I loved that at each stop we spent half the time with our guide and half on our own. Time at each location was perfect. Lunch was good. It was a bit strange that no drinks were included. Our guide did give us water bottles to take in. Sam, the guide was very knowledgeable and organized. His English was excellent. Ask for him by name. Really the only negative was the false advertising. This was not a small group trip. We were on a large bus and our group was around 30 people. This was double the maximum size that was advertised. Pick up from the hotel was in a smaller van (they charge extra for hotel pickup) and drop off was right near a Skytrain station at one of the malls.

This was a great day trip. Sam was a great guide full of interesting information and made sure we were all comfortable on the day. Our driver was great at negotiating the traffic and road conditions safely and always waiting right at the front for us. Aircon was blasting to keep us cool. Lunch was simple and local and much needed after an early start to the day. Plenty of provided cold water. Small group of 15 well timed stops at each site with free time also and back in Bangkok by 3pm. Great value all inclusive trip.

This tour takes you to 4 different sites and includes lunch. Out guide Boeing was very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. The driver, No 2 driver in Thailand, drove carefully and also provided homemade traditional Thai treats which were delicious. We had time to look around each site before moving on. This was a well organised trip that ran smoothly. Pick up is either from your hotel, although this costs extra 200bht per person, or from the company’s offices. Drop off is at the MBK centre. Lunch was a selection of traditional Thai dishes and all were very good.

This location is further out from Bangkok. This was part of a large group tour. The guide was good and informative. We decided it wasn't worth spending a half day to go to these temples. The lunch stop was terrible. Both of us didn't like the food and barley even ate it. If you go to these temples I would recommend not going on a tour that includes lunch.

Our tour guide, Ay Utat was fantastic! Ay Utat educated us on the history of Thailand and the significance of the temples, acted as our photographer, and even helped us bargain for deals! He was extremely knowledgeable about Thai tradition, their religious beliefs, explained how various kings came to be, and we even joked around as we shared and ate delicious fruits. I credit Ay Utat for making my experience memorable. Ay Utat was thoughtful, we talked about more than superficial things, and he was candid. Thank you Ay Utat. I cannot wait until the next time I explore Thailand. I plan to do more tours like this, especially with this company.

The tour started early with the usual amount of mayhem sorting out people into groups without a common language. We went on to a minibus which was cosy and slightly uncomfortable with a compliment of full sized Europeans.

The locations visited were interesting but got a little samey after a while. I think historians would have enjoyed the trip more than I did.

A photographer's dream, Small Group Tours offers comfortable and efficient transport to Ayutthaya with a guided tour. We stopped at 4 locations (there are more available on longer tours), including the famous budha head that's grown into a tree.

Bottles of cold water were available throughout the tour, which included the ticket price at each stop - everything was looked after by our excellent guide, Victor.

Lunch was a buffet in a small waterfront café and the food was simple but flavourful. If you're vegetarian or vegan, you may find your options limited.

Ayutthaya itself is stunning, and it's easy to imagine how beautiful the city was before it was razed. The remains are tragic but captivating and you'll find tons of photo opportunities.

This was a brilliantly organised tour to Ayutthaya, I highly recommend to anyone looking for a side trip from Bangkok - for solo travellers, couples and families. Our guide - Sam - was so friendly and helpful who made sure everyone was comfortable and well taken care of. The tour was a perfect balance between sights and historical information, leaving just enough time to explore with the guide and then time to wander around the ruins unguided. The tour bus was comfortable with good air conditioning and the lunch was an authentic, delicious local experience. We started out from Bangkok around 7:30am, returning around 3pm to MBK, making it an easy commute back to your local hotel via the BTS. Thank you for a wonderful day!

My first impression of this group tour was the tour guide names Uncle Sam, he’s very friendly, very passionate about his job & very on time. The length of the trip was good enough to explore Ayutthaya, they offered the lunch at a local restaurant, it was not bad as well. Recommend

I really enjoyed my tour right from the start. Very professional service. Meeting point was exactly where the said. Uncle Sam, tour guide, made me feel comfortable as soon as he engaged with me, which was nice as this was my first solo experience/trip. Sam took time to know who I was and done really well to bring a very diverse group together.

All four locations were interesting and Sam was very knowledgeable and able to answer all question ms thrown at him. The time at each location was also spot on.

The lunch at the final stop was fantastic and the Thai green curry, recommended by Sam, was spot on.

Highly recommend this tour to all.
