What to expect
  • Siam Hop provides visitors with the most extensive city hop on hop off bus routes that Bangkok has ever had. Four bus Routes, each with 10 to 15 Stops, give the sightseer greater access to many of the most popular places of interest in town every day of the year. Furthermore, Siam Hop has so many modern buses in its fleet that it has been able to schedule them just 30 minutes apart. So, with the knowledge that there will always be a bus close by, the passenger is able to hop off and move around at his own pace discovering many amazing hidden gems not usually on the tourist map too. Using Siam Hop's App the passenger will be able to keep track of bus movements by GPS, thereby avoiding having to waste time waiting for the next bus to rejoin the tour. Furthermore, the GPS is designed so that there is no confusion or hassles finding the Bus Stop's location. Bus Stops have been made clearly visible with signage in Siam Hop's unmistakable bright orange. This can also be said for the many Stops along the way which are manned by a knowledgeable, English speaking team happy to provide local information, assistance and guidance in air-conditioned comfort. Beginning 1 February: The HOP HERITAGE route stops at, 1 MBK 2 Sam Yan 3 RiverCity 4 Chic Hostel 5 Chinatown 6 Paklong Talad (The Flower Market) 7 Museum Siam 8 San Chao Pho Sua 9 The Grand Palace 10 National Museum 11 Tah Pra Arthit 12 The Giant Swing 13 Wat Rathanadda 14 Wat Benjamabophit (The Marble Temple) 15 King Power Duty Free Rangnam Beginning 1 February: The HOP CBD route stops at, 1 MBK 2 Silom 3 Wat Phra Si Maha Utama Devi 4 Charoen Krung 5 Asiatique - The Riverfront 6 Tree On Three 7 Howard Grand 8 Health Land Sathorn 9 King Power Mahanakon (the tallest building in Bangkok) 10 Suriwong 11 River City 12 Between Sam Yan and Hua Lumpong Railway Station Two other routes, HOP ENTERTAINMENT and HOP SHOPPING, are due to start running on 1 March with all Routes interconnecting at certain Stops for passenger convenience. Tickets can be used with Bangkok Canal taxi boats and at Museum Siam making Siam Hop the ideal way to see the wonders of Bangkok.

Amazing way to see the city
Feb. 2020
An easy way to soak in sights and sounds of Bangkok with helpful commentary. Four routes are available to utilize. The hop on ferry is also a very convenient way to get close to the River which was included. Quiet must be due to the corona scare but staff were excellent throughout. Audio was spot on.

I really enjoyed watching the famous landmarks in Bangkok through this sightseeing bus. Unlimited hop on and off really makes this tour bus highly recommendable. The audio was great too. Great tip, the 24 hour pass starts when you board first time, ie we started at 2pm and it was valid until 2pm the day after.

Siam Hop On Hop Off Bus
Jan. 2020
I, along with two friends, used this service yesterday. I would not recommend it at all. On the plus side, the buses operated to schedule and we got a good overview of the city while on the bus. Apart from the outdoor seat which were very dusty/dirty, the bus was clean and well air-conditioned. However, on the negative side, we were given audio earphones with our tickets. On all the buses we travelled on, the audio system simply played music with no information whatsoever. The drivers without exception had very poor English and no information was passed as to where the bus was, where we were stopping, etc. Only for the use of my own personal mobile wifi device, we would have been completely unaware of our routing. As our first stop, we wanted to visit Wat Traimit. When the bus drove by it we asked to be allowed off as we had passed a Siam Hop booth. After our visit, we waited at this same booth for the next available bus having enquired as to where was the scheduled bus, we were eventually informed that in fact it stopped approx 200m away around the corner outside the Prime Hotel (I think I have the hotel name correct). As a result, we missed the bus and had to wait for the next one. Having got back on, a short distance later a Siam Hop employee who did speak English got on the bus and asked where we wanted to get off for our next visit - I informed her that we wanted to stop at the Grand Palace. She then got off the bus. When we eventually stopped at the Grand Palace - no information from the non-English speaking driver - another Siam Hop employee with limited English who briefly got on the bus advised that the Grand Palace was closed since 1530 and it was now 1538. We then continued our tour to Wat Benchamabophit and used taxis/tuk-tuks after that rather than Siam Hop.
We were not alone in being frustrated customers of Siam Hop - another very annoyed English couple described it as a 'magical mystery tour'.
Not to be recommended unfortunately.

Hi Paul, I am sorry to hear of your frustrations with Siam Hop and would like to share some comments. The outdoor seating area is not covered. As you know for the past 10 days Bangkok has had severe pollution so this may attribute this to the buses. The Audio system plays music yes but you need to play the start button and the GPS does kick in and give you audio in many languages. As you are aware, we are in Thailand. English is not their first language and even though the team do speak basic English, not all do and we have employed last month an English Teacher to help us with this. Yes the Grand Palace does close in the afternoon, this is correct and we mention this on the paper maps as well, sorry you missed this. Cant comment on other passengers as we did not receive any more comments yet but I appreciate your review and this has already been sent to the team HQ in Bangkok. Regards, Nick

Great way to experience this beautiful city.
Jan. 2020
We enjoyed the rides so much we went on all the routes (even multiple times). We also loved the audio guide (which were available in many languages). Also in the heat of Bangkok, it’s great to sit on the top desk looking at architecture and neighbourhoods with cool breeze. Highly recommended!

sit back and relax and see the sights of Bangkok
Jan. 2020
I have visited many places in Bangkok. By using the Siam Hop bus service, the highlight here is the ability to get on or off the bus whenever you want. We always saw something different. It has 4 routes so covers all the city. Every seat on the bus has an audio guide throughout the route. If you are looking for a tour bus service, I recommend to buy tickets here.

4 hop on hop lines with buses that do not allow good views
Dec. 2019
for a price of 800 bht a day (or lower when purchased for several days) you get 4 hop off hop on lines of which only the heritage line was interesting ( 2 hours)

the buses are not the usual opened ones, but covered ones, so the views are not as good as in other cities

the staff as helpfull and frindly

headphones with explanations in several languages (thai, english, russian, malyaisian spanish, chinese... no french, german or italian available)

it is way to have a rough idea of what the city of bangkok is

Dear atontao, We do have 4 routes and this is a choice for passengers, to take 1 or all 4 of them. We have 2 types of buses, double decker and single decker. This is because on some routes the bridges are quite low so we can not drive the double deckers. Our double deckers do have open air at the top of the bus towards the back and you can also sit in the air conditioning area as well so again you have a choice here. Not sure why you would not have good views as the buses are all have panoramic windows. Correct we do not have yet (German or Italian) but we have 7 languages already on the bus. Regards, Nick

Sit back and see the sights of Bangkok
Dec. 2019
This is the best way to go around Bangkok. The bus drivers were very friendly however sometimes we could not understand what they are saying on the tour but I dont speak Thai.......we relied on the audio which was gps enabled and worked perfectly. Not many people on board but we had more attention from the staff which was great. Overall it was nice experience. Thanks.

Hello Craig, Already replied on first review and not sure why you have to write the same review twice. “absolute crap” Is subjective....so for you it may have been but as you can see from other reviewers not the case. Before ripping up your ticket you should have spoken to the staff as they could have refunded you if there was any issue. As an example yesterday was the Kings birthday so many roads were closed which is out of our control Regards, Nick
