About
Bangkok Sunset Ride is a very gentle culinary and cultural bicycle ride through Bangkok and Thonburi side. Experience the Thai capital at night during this amazing bicycle adventure.  Ride through quiet and safe back roads and small lane ways. Visit ancient temples and the flower market after sunset. The places you visit are somehow more magical at night, with many temples beautifully illuminated in the evening.

What to expect
  • After a quick bike fitting, we’re on the way to the first river crossing that brings us to the Thonburi side of Bangkok. Together with our bicycle we walk across the Klongsan market. From here we cycle in a relaxed pace to a Chinese pagoda located on the riverbanks of the Chao Praya River. The inside of the 8 stories pagoda is finished in granite and bronze. The windows have delicate etched designs of birds and other animals. We continue the Bangkok Sunset ride through a quiet neighborhood and stop at the second market. They only sell food here and it is the place where we’ll have our “starter” tonight. There are many food stalls and our guide will explain to you what is offered, how it is cooked, and what’s in it. We continue along the river until our stop at the Temple of Dawn. It’s almost magical the way Wat Arun is lightened and gives you a new impression. Now it’s time for our main dish and we will sit down at a typical local Thai restaurant. After our meal we ride along Wat Rakhang Khositaram and take a boat back to the Bangkok side. We ride pass Sanam Luang and the Grand Palace until we reach Wat Pho for a visit and stroll the temple compound. We continue the ride to “Pak Klong Talad” or Flower market. Where you’ll see a kaleidoscope of bright colors as vendors showcase fresh floral goods from every corner of Thailand. We then take you back to the Sheraton where the Bangkok Sunset Ride ends and we have to say goodbye. You will return to your hotel with new impressions and experiences of Bangkok! Since you are visiting a Buddhist temple (Wat Pho), you are expected to dress respectfully. We recommend you to wear longer shorts (knees covered) and to have your shoulders covered when we enter the temple.

Up there with the very best!
Dec. 2018 • Couples
An amazing experience seeing Bangkok by night. Not just the temples and flower market but some narrow alleyways and streets away from the tourist trails. Cooler in the evening but still warm enough for shorts and tee shirts. We had a guide in front of us and one behind and always felt safe despite the traffic.

Up was an excellent guide. She is both knowledgeable about Bangkok and passionate about it sharing her infectious enthusiasm. Up also has a great sense of humour. We stopped for a meal part way through the evening which was excellent.

You need to be reasonably confident on a bike to enjoy it.

Thank you for an excellent evening and thank you to Up for being a great guide.
