pokhara is Nepal’s favourite tourist destination with many hotels, bars, restaurants and shops. This attractive city on the beautiful Phewa Lake is located around 200 km west of Kathmandu at a level of 820 m. It is the second-largest city in Nepal. Pokhara is the starting point for many trekking tours. Three of the ten highest mountains in the world are within a distance of 50 km from the city: Dhaulagiri (8.167 m), Annapurna 1 (8.091 m) and Manaslu (8.163 m). On clear days Pokhara offers a breath-taking view on the snowy peaks of the wide Himalaya Range. The highlight of the skyline is the magnificent peak of Machhapuchhre (6.997 m). But also, the city itself has many cultural and natural attractions. On the tour presented here, I am taking you on an exciting half-day trip through Pokhara and surroundings starting from sunrise at Sarangkot and ending with a visit to Devi's Falls.

Once in a lifetime experience with the best guide
We had such a wonderful 4 days trekking experience in the Annapurna region. Roman Paudel had perfectly organised everything for us in advance. We could ask any question, he always answered everything right away. Our guide, Kumar, gave such a warm and friendly atmosphere into our tour, was extremely helpful, open and had a great sense of humour, we were very happy to have him as our guide. And Devendra, the porter, also was very friendly and always coped with our luggage with a warm smile on his face. The Jeep ride from Pokhara to Ghandruk was safe with a good driver. The lodges were clean with beautiful flowers and good beds, the food was very good. The hike was a once in a lifetime experience. We could see the Annapurna Mountains especially in the morning, even in the sunrise, we enjoyed the hike to Tadapani and Chomrong with a beautiful countryside, always felt safe, and on the last day we had the most relaxing time in the hot springs. It was really wonderful! We would always do it again and always with the same agency, guide and porter!

Wonderful first time trekking experience. Beautiful scenery every day and lucky to have Kumar as my fantastic guide and fun filled companion. Accommodation was all very comfortable and welcoming. Delicious food also. Highly recommend.

        Millennium Trek / Homestay Experience
The Millennium Home Stay Trek with my guide and friend Raj Kumar was a breathtaking and endearing experience. Along the way we visited the home of an especially nice Shaman, visited a bat cave, and participated in a cultural dance in Pyarsing village. The Sapande Home Stay in Pyarsing Village was supremely remarkable due to the cultural dance in the village and the hosts of the home stay. I highly recommend the Millennium Home Stay Trek with Raj Kumar as the trekking guide. The experience is one of a kind and the people of Nepal are warm and welcoming.

        Amazing trekking in Nar-Phu Valley!
Two friends and I had an amazing week in Nar-Phu Valley with our fantastic guides Deependra and Loki. They were warm and helpful and also very nice company. They showed us around and were very social, in such a manner that we met a lot of different local people. The views and the route were stunning. Nar and Phu are very remote. Incredibly beautiful villages at a high altitude. So apecial to be able to experience this environment and to meet the people who live there in a manner that’s completely different than ours. Also the Tibetan Buddhist religion and its culture were very interesting and the monasteries were spectacular. Crossing Kang-La Pass at 5,320 m is something I will never forget. Challenging, but the rewards are indescribable. All in all a trip to remember a lifetime. The Himalaya and especially the remote Nar-Phu Valley were not crowded at all, something which we appreciated a lot.

        Outstanding experience of a lifetime
We didn’t have time or conditioning for a longer trek. This overnight trek to Australian Base Camp and Dhampus was spectacular. Roman was responsive to questions ahead of our trip. During the trek everything went silky smooth—professional, very experienced, and also very personable. Roman did an outstanding job pacing for our needs and also explaining what we saw and experienced. We were very lucky with weather and had breathtaking views of the Annapurna range at sunrise the second day. The guest house in Dhampus was a small, family-run jewel—so peaceful, fantastic views, friendly family. My only regret is that we didn’t have time to do a longer trek with Roman. Outstanding, lifetime experience.

        My Son and I
My son and I trekked in November 24. Well organised, an excellent guide in Rajesh. We met the day before to go over the finer details and clarify what we needed. We made it up to Mardi Himal view point and it was just amazing . We took 5 days to do it instead of 6 which was fine for us. My son is 22 so quite strong. Would definitely book with them again and request Rajesh as a guide. There are so many options to choose from, but they are based centrally and know what they are doing. Thank you.

Worthwhile hiking experiences with Breathe Nepal Trekking!
Highly recommend Breathe Nepal Trekking when organizing an adventure. Did an Annapurna Circuit trek, with Bishnu as my guide. The trek was well-organized and many pleasant sights to the eyes. Unfortunately I caught altitude sickness, but my itinerary was easily adapted based on the circumstances. Services are top-notched and friendly/kind from everyone. Thanks to both Roman and Bishnu for an overall pleasant and adventurous trekking experience.

        The highlight of my life
I enjoyed arguably the highlight of my life with Breathe Nepal Trekking. I decided that I would like to visit Nepal and after some careful research, I came across the organisation. Roman was absolutely fantastic and sent me prompt replies to my questions whilst also amending the schedule to suit my early flights. He responded with patience to all my concerns and he even demonstrated kindness when I flagged I was struggling to convert money to USD, urging me to not worry about it and to be prepared for the hike. On the first day I was greeted by Timil Senyeman, his awesome son and Ashim. Over the next three days I enjoyed the most amazing hike of my life. All three carefully looked after me and also answered any questions. When I struggled on the final day due to sore muscles they were all patient and kept my morale. When I had troubled leaving Pokhara due to cancelled planes Roman was phoning his contacts to help me. I wish I could give them 100/10. Brilliant company!

Great Cultural experience and walk in peaceful Nepal
I had a wonderful time with Kumar on my small trek. It was lovely to get out of the busy town and see some different villages and people along the way. Lots of beautiful scenery and forest and I had a delicious lunch on the mid way point. The way up was steep and lots of stairs but it went fast as there were lots of views and things to look at, my guide Kumar did not rush me and we took our time as I am not the fittest or best with hills. Our overnight stay was lovely and authentic and has delicious food and beautiful views and the owners of the hotel were kind and genuinely nice people. Though we had a lot of cloud I still saw lovely partial views of the mountains which was super special but even without the foothills and views across the rice terraces and farm land was very peaceful and nice. The way down was lovely and the old part of Dhampus was very nice and had old buildings. I would recommend this excursion if you wish to have a cultural glimpse of Nepal which doesn't require too much time and effort. Thank you Kumar and Breathe Nepal for a lovely walk and cultural experience.

Great experience in the Nar Phu Valley!
We did a hiking tour of 7 days in the Nar Phu Valley. It was a great tour to the beautiful villages of Phu and Nar. With spectacular views and an unforgettable climb over the Kang La Pass (5320m) at the end. Our guide Deependra Chapai did a great job. He really took care of us. But most important he was great company, and he showed us around in the villages, the monastries and told us a lot about the history and culture of the incredible Nar Phu valley. The Nar Phu valley trek is not very busy, with great culture and beautiful nature.

        Flexible and caring trekking experts!
I initially booked the Mardi Himal 6 days trek with Breathe Nepal Trekking, but we needed to change my trekking plans as I was struggling with an acute bronchitis. I’m so grateful that Roman and his team could adjust my trekking plans based on my health conditions. Thanks to Roman’s great care and professionalism, I was able to successfully and safely complete a 5 days trek going to Poon Hill and ending at Dhampus village. It was a dream come true to finally admire the Himalayas and I already can’t wait for my next visit to trek to ABC and Mardi Himal!

A Journey to Relieve Emotional Tiredness
I came to Pokhara for work during my stay in Nepal for about a month. I took this tour during one of those weekends. My heart was refreshed by being in touch with nature. And I received energy to live properly from nature. I would recommend anyone who plans to visit Pokhara in the future to join this tour. The guide who was taking care of me was very experienced and always considerate of my well being and pace. I appreciate his professionalism.

A fantastic one-day trek to explore beyond Pokhara
Namaste! I'm a solo female traveler visiting from the U.S. during monsoon season. I had a fantastic, immersive, one-day hike to Dhampus with Breathe Nepal and Kumar as my guide. I always felt safe. (Thank you, Kumar) I highly recommend it, especially for those who may not have the time for a longer trek. It has gorgeous surroundings, and there is flexibility as it is at your own pace. I would describe it as a mid-range trek; some fitness level helps! I saw a herd of water buffalo grazing, "Bob Marley Trees," butterflies, and plenty of fresh air!

        trekking with friends
We are a group of five people from Taiwan. We went on a hiking tour with Dee to Poon Hill. It was a four-day hike, and it was our pleasure to have such an amazing tour guide and two porters with us. We enjoyed stunning views and visited beautiful villages. Dee and the two porters were kind and supportive. We recommend that anyone visiting Pokhara go trekking!

On our last trip through Nepal we also booked a half day sightseeing trip in Pokhara. We could have done that by ourself but it was much more fun to do it with Roman as our guide. He showed us the most interesting spots and explain a lot about the culture and the history of the places we visited. I strongly recommend to do the sightseeing trip with a guide. You will learn much more than doing that just with a book. And if you plan to book a trip, just do it with Roman. He is the best!!!

We booked a tour of Pokhara with Roman from Breathe Nepal Trekking. It was a very interesting day in he beautiful Nepaleses city. Started the day very early with the sunrise on the hill Sarangkot, which we reached by car in the early morning. It was breathetaking to see how high mountains turns into gold. Afterwards we took aboat tour on lake phewa and climbed upto the world peace pagoda. We were very lucky with the weather and could also enjoy the whole mountains panaroma from the temple. After that visit to waterfall and the day was over and we were very happy to have the nice experience with Roman. We are now thinking about booking the next trip of trekking with Roman. The Breathe Nepal Trekking is very reliable and recommendable.

We started with the trip at 530 AM and we had a headstart on the most strategic place to position ourselves for the sunrise in Sarangkot Hill. Roman assisted me where to sit and where to take pictures. The Annapurna Range was at its glory during the sunrise. No clouds and the sky is very clear. After the sunrise, we went to the World Peace Stupa and this is place where silence is honored. Roman also described to me the history of this stupa. On the background, is still the amazing Annapurna Range and is perfect for your photo opportunities. The coffee shops nearby is also a nice treat. Make sure you know a good spot/view and Roman definitely knows where. :)

Latter part of the tour is the Devi’s Falls and the Boat Ride in the lake.

So far I enjoyed the whole trip, it was short and easy but meaningful and so relaxed. Thank you Roman for showing me around Pokhara. Until next time.

A very special and personalised experience, perfect for people who aren’t blessed with a long stay in Pokhara. Roman’s knowledge and passion for this beautiful part of the world is truly infectious. His love for nature and the conservation of a rapidly changing landscape and environment was remarkable and we were so lucky to have him as our guide. We only wish we had more time in Nepal to join him on a multi-day hike and learn more about this stunning country. Couldn’t recommend this more we can’t wait to come back.

This was one of the best tours I've ever been on. Our tour guide, Roman, as well as our driver were extremely accommodating and quite friendly. He took the time to explain the different sites to us, the history behind everything and so on. Up to a point where we wanted to alter our itinerary to include a few more places, and they accepted with a smile and no issues whatsoever. It was such a beautiful experience, and would definitely repeat it again!

Always a real pleasure to share the Millennium eco trek with my friend Kumar. Fantastic landscapes, disconcerting and dazzling. We were received by the locals and were able to share their customs, joy and humility for even one evening at a time. I love this trek, which is why I'm going back with great interest. Kumar is an exceptional guide, professional, attentive to others, available 24 and especially HAPPY!!!

I would like to share my experience about a half day sightseeing trip in Pokhara, which I did last year after coming back from Poon Hill Trekking. The trip inthe mountains was wonderful and very well organised by Roman and his team. I have written a review about that last year already. Now I would like to share some memories regarding the half-day Pokhara trip. It was a relaxing and a very beautiful day which started very early in the morning with a sunrise trip to Sarangkot. It was amazing, we have had a very good weather and a clear view of the full Annapurna Range. After a short breakfast we continued our trip with a boating on Phewa Lake and a short visit to a little temple on the lake. Really beautiful. After that we walked to the World Peace Pagoda on the oposit side of the Sarangkot Hill. Lucky us!!! We again had a great view and clear sky so we could enjoy the mountains. After that we drive to Devi's Falls and a cave which name I can't remember ;))). It was a great experience and a beautiful day very well organised by Roman. We enjoyed the time with Roman very much and would love to recommend his work and his company to everybody out there.

The tour guide and driver were super accommodating and enthusiastic! Did not have any complaints with the trip at all. A definite highlight was at Phewa lake, when the rower took a more scenic route and we spotted a beautiful kingfisher 😊. Would not hesitate to recommend this to friends and family!
