What to Expect
The Nepali resort city of Pokhara is famous for its shimmering lake, where on clear days you’ll see snow-topped Himalayan peaks reflected on the surface. While the area is packed with stunning natural and cultural sights, spread out all along the outskirts of Nepal’s second-largest city, arranging transportation on your own can be a challenge. During this action-packed bus tour, you can settle back and relax as you cover all the main attractions, with time to explore on your own. Travel like a local in a group made up of both Nepalis and foreigners, giving you different perspectives on the stunning, culturally rich region. Head to the Hindu temple of Bindhyabasini, one of the oldest goddess shrines in the Pokhara region, where you’ll learn about one of Nepal’s main religions. From there, you’ll head to a river gorge, a local waterfall, and an underground limestone cave, getting an in-depth peek at three features of the area’s diverse natural splendor. Your local guide will be on-hand to answer any questions you may have along the way.
