About
The Manaslu Circuit Trek is getting higher and extra popular as a new trekking destination. The circuit is an attractive trek with marvelous views of Mount Manaslu (8163 m) and the Ganesh Himal Range. Along the trail, you come upon a fascinating mix of actual Hindu and Tibetan-style Buddhist villages. The path follows the remarkable Budhi Gandaki River from Arunghat to its source just beneath the Larkya Pass (5125 m). As you begin low, the landscapes are extraordinarily various ranging from green nation-state and lush forests to magnificent high-altitude views skirting big glaciers.
The Manaslu Circuit Trek is the perfect trek for those looking for the local way of life with a few other foreign traffic to encounter. Let your representative at Himalayan Planet Adventures explain the magical charm of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. It may also indeed be the proper trek for you.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- I5384WMvickyc0 contributionsTruly delightful experienceOur guide Ananta was truly delightful. He was extremely knowledgeable and informative. He answered all of our questions and shared interesting historical facts and stories including information about Nepal at large, not just the sites that we were visiting. He rearranged the order of the tour to accommodate traffic around our hotel and also offered to take us shopping for wedding shoes. He negotiated for us and allowed us to take our time, which extended well beyond the scheduled tour time. We would highly recommend Ananta as a tour guide!Written 16 March 2025
- revitoff100 contributionsGreat Half Day TourThe tour was great, no issues with anything. My guide Shanti was great; very knowledgeable, was able to answer any questions I had, and gave a good amount of facts without overdoing it. I had a great afternoon.Written 15 March 2025
- 78benz0 contributionsGreat Sunrise Views and Nature WalkStarting the morning watching the sunrise over the Himalayans was a great start to the day. It's not something you can see down in Kathmandu valley and it was great to get away from the city and see that. The car ride up to the lookout point was easy and comfortable. The local restaurant we stopped at to get breakfast (potatoes, curry, egg and masala chai) was very authentic and delicious. The walking tour through Nagarkot was very interesting. We went about 5 km in about 2 hours and it was all downhill. We made many stops along the way where our tour guide would give us information and let us walk around a bit if we stopped at a point of interest. Seeing rural life up close while getting awesome views of the valley from high up was really cool. We did do a surprise stop at a large suspension bridge which we walked across and back. I thought the views were great from the bridge! After exploring the Changu Narayan temple for a bit, we stopped to get some more masala chai and momos at a restaurant near the temple. The ride back was easy and convenient! The tour guide was very responsive to how we were doing and was full of great information!Written 14 March 2025
- mantarae190 contributionsAnanta rocks! Our guide Ananta was superbly knowledgeable about each site we went to and gave a lot of details the whole day about Nepal as a whole as well. We felt very safe and well taken care of all day. Ananta is also an amazing person and we were really grateful to meet him and hear about his life.Written 14 March 2025
- X8157ZTsarahc0 contributionsGREAT tour, well worth it!!!This tour was well worth it! Our guide Ananta was amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing so many stories and insights at every location. We learned so much and the tour helped us understand the culture and rituals at each site in so much more depth than we would have just visiting on our own. Having the driver was super helpful and Ananta helped us navigate walking through the busy streets. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Boudhanath Stupa. We needed to shop for wedding shoes after the tour and Ananta took us shopping in a nearby place. He really went above and beyond to make our day special and memorable. He also made sure to take tons of pictures of us throughout the tour. We would HIGHLY recommend this tour and ask for Ananta as your guide!!Written 14 March 2025
- Migasfcp0 contributionsNagarkot sunrise and walking tourVery good experience, to know local culture and to see The beautiful sunrise in Nagarkot. Thanks to our guide Matan and our driver. Excellent activity to do. We strongly recommend.Written 3 March 2025
- candacehoper0 contributionsRemarkable BaktapurThis was a spectacular tour of the temples, back alleys, and religious relics of old Baktapur. This tour added so much to my understanding of this very ancient part of the world. My guide had seemingly endless knowledge of each historical period as well as some fascinating facts about the earthquake damage suffered in the last quake. Baktapour is a resilient city, not to be missed.Written 24 February 2025
- sirenettaUAE_Sharjah0 contributionsIt was a nice short escape from the hectic capital. The guide Shanti came ahead of time very well prepared for the trip and explaI enjoyed this refreshing experience in the nature with beautuful views and food and recommend Shanti and this agency.Written 24 February 2025
- brendamO3053IS0 contributionsPerfect way to spend a day in KathmanduWhile we did not see the mountains due to haze, our trip was still wonderful. Madan (our guide) and our driver were both wonderful. Breakfast was delicious. Walking through the mountain neighborhoods of Nagarkot was perfect way to see real semi-rural life in Nepal. I especially enjoyed seeing the many goats, chickens and dogs. Madan had a wealth of information and was easy to spend the day with. Our driver was calm behind the wheel and kept us safe in the chaos of the Kathmandu streets.Written 24 February 2025
- jamesaE3590KD0 contributionsExcellent Day HikeThe views were amazing, I could easily see the Himalayas. Also really enjoyed the hike down from Nagarkrot - it only took about 2 hours but we saw several local villages and temples.Written 22 February 2025
- 516francinew0 contributionsViews, experiences, & so much more!Amazing view, informative guide that was not only aware of the tourist objects we visited but also the current situation of his country (you can ask him anything!), & good photo taking skill from the guide for you to bring amazing pictures home! Nagarkot was an amazing place to view most of the Himalayan mountain range (most of the famous peak were visible from here) with the multicolored sunrise sky as the backdrop. The hike will also give you unique experience of seeing up close the daily lives of the Nepali villagers on the hill. My guide, Shishir, was very helpful and supportive During our hike downhill I realized that i forgot my wallet uphill after 15-20 minutes of walk and the guide ran uphill to fetch the wallet while asking me to wait downhill. He returned with the wallet safe and its content intact :) Definitely worth your time & money!Written 16 February 2025
- Tsung-Ying L0 contributionsA nice half day getawayShanti is a very knowledgeable guide. She explained all the detail we need to know about the temple as well as answered all our questions. She even kind enough to tour us through the stores next to the temple. Written 9 February 2025
- marlon a0 contributionsBeautiful Kathmandu sights and cultural insights in a relaxed private tripBeautiful Kathmandu sights and cultural insights in a relaxed private trip. Ananta is a very helpful and accommodating guide — not intuitive yet super helpful and insightful. Highlights for me were the cable car ride and Hindu temple. Highly recommend.Written 3 February 2025
- davidcL950LG0 contributionsNagarkot SunriseThis is a very good experience. Early start but worth it. You do see Everest but it is way better n the distance. The mountains you can see are stunning, especially as we had amazing clear weather. The track afterwards was also very pleasant and not too onerous. Good shoes are a must even trainers.Written 2 February 2025
