About
Trekking around Manaslu Circuit offers quite a unique opportunity to experience a reasonably untouched region of Nepal. This region sees few trekkers which makes the visit here more exclusive and unspoiled. Manaslu, open for trekking since 1991, provides spectacular beauty along the border of Nepal and Tibet. It is now a controlled trekking route, allowing organized trekking group’s special permits to gain entry into this region to venture round its spectacular Manaslu circuit.
Manaslu has a unique environment which is exceptionally rich in biodiversity that has made this region one of the finest tourist destinations. The majestic Himalayan ranges in this area consist of cultural diversities and natural scenery with glacier lakes and fascinating flora and fauna. All features of this region have made it as one of the most attractive places of Nepal. The trekking route is less crowded and provides the basic facilities to the trekkers.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Ryan M0 contributionsPhenomenonal Trekking experienceMyself and our group had an absolute excellent experience on this trek, and we largely owe this to our guide Rajendra Neupene and our porters Peshal and Gombu. From day 1, the team were beyond friendly and answered any questions we had. Throughout the trek, Raj was extremely knowledgeable of the region, which significantly increased our experience. Raj and the team were available for assistance throughout the entirety of the trek, and I couldn't recommend their services any higher. Thank you again to Raj and the team.Written 23 January 2025
- 342piyushv0 contributionsVisits basecamp for others, and Kala Patthar for yourselfI went solo and met a great bunch of people from all ages and walks of life. Few people had to drop out as it was their first time hiking in life so EBC was a challenge but Ace The Himalaya supported them to safely fly back to Lukla. Everything was well organised from taking care of small details like what food to avoid at higher altitude (tip: don't eat meat after Namche) to explaining everything about the peaks. Visits basecamp for photos, and Kala Patthar for yourself. You get a peak of Mt. Everest from basecamp but you look at Everest in its glory from Kala Patthar. Visit Kala Patthar for sunset for better views, otherwise you can enjoy it in its morning glory too. There were some teething issues due to a diverse group but our guide, Milan, managed it well. We had a talented photographer, Nijas, who captured memories for a lifetime throughout the trip. If you're with Ace The Himalaya esp Milan, you're in safe hands.Written 21 January 2025

- jonathanwC5367OS0 contributionsACE..we're great!!!I spent hours watching videos and decided to book the trek. I asked a number of companies and some never even replied. ACE answered my questions and explained the whole process. I booked with them and I must say I never regretted it. I booked my flight and left home. Picked up at the airport. A meeting in the hotel explaining everything I needed to know. I spent the night packing my bags and organising my stuff. The following days I was guided by Ramesh. An extremely friendly attentive man who was amazing. He was super experienced and looked after me like a friend. EYES was my porter and took great care of my bags. I had the best time ever. I was on my own but I didn't feel that way. The tea houses were comfortable and I had electricity and a comfortable bed in nearly every room. If it wasn't in the room it was in the restaurant. Westernised toilet en suite in all rooms but 1 on the entire trek. I love it. It was my 50th birthday present to my self and I will go away with fantastic memories. It was my first multi day trek and if I were to do something again. I would choose ACE. intact I have recommended them already to some interested parties. They know their stuff and are local. I have no complaints about any of my trip. And ACE helped me enjoy my once in a lifetime experience.if you do go ask for Ramesh!!!Written 15 January 2025
- arthurj9160 contributionsTruly the best guide organization to take to base Camp Everest.Truly, one of the most amazing experience is my life. We took our kids with us to base camp. Our guide was Madan. Not only did he do an amazing job caring for us, but he kept everyone safe and showed us the beauty of the culture and the environment. I could not speak highly of this organization and this amazing guide/person.Written 15 January 2025
- 593MichelleB0 contributionsThis guide service goes above and beyond! When my 22 year old son and my 19 year old daughter told me they wanted to do this hike with friends, I was not initially in favor of it. My son found Ace to use for guide service and after reading through many, many reviews I reached out to them and asked a ton of additional questions. Ace was very responsive to my emails and we ended up booking the trip with them. While I did not go on this trip myself, listening to the stories from their group of 4 and hearing how amazing Ace was with the challenges they faced, I had to write a review based on this. From the start, Ace did exactly what they said they would--they were picked up at the airport with no issues. They had an orientation session that was thorough and helpful (they sent me pictures of the slides they went over). They got their rental coats and sleeping bags, both of which were very affordable and highly recommended. They said the sleeping bags kept them plenty warm at night, even at high altitude. On the first night my daughter realized her sleeping bag zipper was broken so she told her guide and by the next night it was fixed. The only thing that was a surprise was we thought it was just going to be their group of 4 on the hike and it was a group of 8 with 2 guides and 4 porters. It ended up working out good for them to have others to experience this with, it was just unexpected. Their particular guide was Ram and they had nothing but good to say about him! He gave good practical advice--like telling them what to and not to order at each of the tea houses, when to take altitude medication, etc. When they were 2 days away from reaching base camp, 6/8 in their group experience a stomach virus of some sort. Ram and the other guides usually stayed in a sherpa residence down the road from the teahouses and he always told our kids where he was in case they needed help. When they got sick, one of them went to get Ram. He came and stayed with my daughter while she was sick. He got her fluids and gave her nausea medicine (he gave that to all of them). He literally tucked my daughter into bed surrounded by warm water bottles and put a Snickers bar under her pillow in case she got hungry at night. The next day they were all quite weak but none of them wanted to quit, so the sherpas adjusted the hike so they didn't have to hike as far. They overheard some of the other sherpas (not Ace) talking about how if it was their group they would have just taken them down and not taken them to base camp. I am so grateful Ram and the others worked with them to give them the experience they had dreamed of. Typically hikers are expected to carry their own daypack each day but these days after they were sick Ram carried it for them. In addition, the porters would run their stuff up to the next stop, drop it off, and then come back to help Ram and the group. WAY above and beyond. It took a while for appetites to return and when Ram noticed my daughter wasn't eating much, he asked what sounded good to her. When she said apples, he and the porters worked to get her some extra apples. This personal care and connection he had with the hikers was amazing to hear about and made me as a mom feel so relieved to know they were being well taken care of. He also did his best to get them rooms with private bathrooms in the teahouses on the days they were sick. Some people in their group of 8 were focused on the hiking. My kids and one of the other hikers wanted to go at a slower pace and enjoy the fun in it, taking a TON of pictures and making Tik Toks. I love how the guides adjusted to what the various people in the group wanted so that everyone ended up happy. I watched so many fun videos of Ram dancing and having fun with them. He also didn't hesitate to take as many pictures as they wanted and their pictures are really amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better guide service and wouldn't hesitate to use them myself or recommend them to others. In spite of the illness, my kids and their friends absolutely loved this experience. I would highly recommend you choose Ace. I can't imagine how you could be disappointed with the level of care, compassion and service they provide.Written 15 January 2025

- 269vesselak0 contributionsUnforgettable Himalayan Anapurna Circuit Trek with MadanI recently completed the Anapurna Circuit Trek and it was an unforgettable experience! The breathtaking views of the Himalayas were truly awe-inspiring, but what made the trek truly special was the amazing people I met along the way. Our guide, Madan Kandel, was exceptional. Not only was he knowledgeable and helpful, but he also shared with us the wisdom and culture of the Nepali people. He made us feel like part of his family. The trek was challenging at times, but Madan's guidance and support made all the difference. He ensured our safety and comfort every step of the way, and his infectious smile and laughter kept our spirits high even on the toughest days. I highly recommend the Anapurna Circuit Trek to anyone looking for an adventure of a lifetime. And if you're lucky enough to have Madan as your guide, you're in for a real treat. Thank you, Madan, for an unforgettable experience!Written 12 January 2025

An incredible trek that was arranged by Ace. From start to finish you can not fault them. In the office Prem and Sujan are great. Our guide, Maddie and porter Ramesh, who came out of porter retirement for us (he’s a qualified guide now) are both awesome. Nothing is a problem and having flexibility within the itinerary was no issue. I can thoroughly recommend Ace.Written 10 January 2025
- 776miloss0 contributionsJANUARY WINTER EBCThis is a perfect trip for anyone wanting to visit the Everest region. From the start Ace the Himalaya was very organised and was on time with all the pick ups. They were also very flexible with the times for the pre trip brief and provided all the information necessary. My guide Madan was very experienced and informative and gave me good tips throughout the trip to make sure I had a great time. My porter Bhupal was very nice and would always have my bags in the room as soon as possible. The accomodation throughout the trip was very good and all my food and drink were included (even if you wanted extra food) in the trip price so I only had to pay extra for the chocolate bars I bought. I went during January which is off season and a bit colder but I think that it is a perfect time to visit as you get to trek without the crowds. This allows you to get the best rooms with quick food service and you get to experience the nature all to yourself. You can still meet people in the tea houses but they won’t be overcrowded. The other benefit of going during January is that I had clear skies almost every day so the views were amazing. Regarding the weather every day up until Dingboche I was able to hike in a single thermal top as it was warm during the day. The only time where I felt like it was a bit too cold was in Gorakshep but as this is only for 1 night of the trip I think it is a good sacrifice as you get clear skies in January with a less crowded experience. During the night I used the sleeping bad provided by the company for rent which kept me warm and Madan gave me a hot pack as well which was very nice especially at the higher altitudes. Overall I would highly recommend Ace The Himalaya to anyone wanting to trek in Nepal as I think they do a really good job and really make everything easy for the customers.Written 9 January 2025

- yusefa20250 contributionsLife changing experienceI had the pleasure of completing this trek with the wonderful guidance and accomodation of Ace The Himilaya. I would like to give special thanks and recognition to the team, including a talented, extremely friendly and knowledgable guide Kashor, and superhuman porters Mohace and Special. The trek would not be possible without this team and a guide who assisted me and my family to unthinkable lengths with unparalleled kindness and hospitality. If you get Kahsor as your guide, know that you are in the best hands! This experience was one of a kind and I truly feel changed coming out of it, and I would recommend everyone, if you are able to breathe and walk, to do this at least once in your lifetime.Written 9 January 2025

Ace was able to work with our availability and allowed us to do a shortened version of the Manaslu Circuit Trek with longer days, which started from Soto Khali. After doing EBC with Ace, I knew they'd be a solid company to use again for the Manaslu trek with my boyfriend. They exceeded my expectations once again.
Our guide, Kishore, and porter, Hari, played an integral part in making our experience in the mountains a wonderful one. They took care of all the details and the only effort we had to make was getting from point A to B every day.
Kishore's English is impeccable and he will entertain you with many jokes throughout the trek and Hari always had a smile on his face despite the heavy load he carried daily. They were also flexible to hiking extra miles on a few days when we were feeling more ambitious.
I really felt a warmth and comraderie with the internal crew and on-the-job staff at Ace. The guides really love their jobs and the company for whom they work.
As for the trek, I did both Everest and Manaslu and both were different enough from each other that it would be hard to choose a favorite. Manaslu was excellent in that it took us thru so many different climate zones and we were able to see all the plants and flowers in bloom, plus hundreds of waterfalls. The Manaslu trail is a bit rougher so be prepared for that, but it's certainly worth the effort!

From 13 to 20 April 2023, I did the Manaslu Circuit Trek with a group of 10. The conditions were not easy due to the still large snow masses at higher altitudes. Our guide Nimesh from Ace the Himalaya and his team (assistant guide Bisal and five porters) did an excellent job and offered us an unforgettable trekking. Nimesh is very professional, a good communicator and motivator, took the needs of the group members seriously at all times and looked after us very well. I would recommend a tour with Nimesh to anyone! The trip was booked with Himalaya Tours and organised by Ace the Himalaya.

I did this trek with Chris (Kishore N) as our guide in March 2022. I wanted to do this trek because it is less busy with trekkers, but still includes staying in teahouses each night. And being in a protected region, includes a more natural and less spoiled experience. This trek is special because it will show you many different climate regions of Nepal, starting in the lower, hotter elevations, while porgressing to forested regions and finally to the high alpine environment-- for us at this time of year this meant walking on snow but that wasn't a big deal. And then back down into the hotter, low elevations to finish the trek which overlaps a bit with Annapurna circuit. The trek follows two different river valleys, which means that water is plentiful, including greatly-apprecitated hot springs at one location!
Our guide was very experienced with this trek and was able to change our itinerary on the fly to make it even better for us. He was also able to teach us many Nepalese words and culture and share stories from his life with much humor as a guide in many regions of Nepal. I definitely recommend Ace and Chris for a smooth and professional experience and would do more treks with them.

A second amazing trek with Ace the Himalaya. Sushanta Neupane was an excellent guide on the Manaslu Circuit, he got to know us quickly and adapted our itinerary to suit our needs. He was chatty and friendly from day 1 and made sure we were safe at all times. Romesh was our porter for the 2nd trip and was excellent too. Thank you to Sushanta and Romesh for an amazing trek!

We went on the Manaslu Circuit with side trips to Hinang Gompa, to an area close to the China-Nepal border, and to some hot springs at the last day of the trek. Ace The Himalaya fully accommodated our extra requested days for these side trips and treated us very well and handled it very professionally.
Our guide Ganesh provided top notch services to guide us along the trek, to make sure that we were healthy and tended to us when we weren’t feeling our best. Our porters Omhre/Om/Ohm (not sure of the spelling) and Hari not only carried our big bags throughout the whole trek, but also provided extra hands to guide us along more difficult terrain and to make sure we were treated well in the teahouses. All three of them also provided joyful companionship and gave us warm Nepali hospitality and friendship. This allowed us to have the best time on the Manaslu Circuit, and this is definitely a trek to remember.

Sunil Ghale and Roonan Ghale were FANTASTIC guides/porter. They were attentive and very organized. I had the best time on the trip because of their ability to lead and provide motivation during challenging parts of the trek. I will 100% recommend this trek to my friends! Hopefully they get lucky enough to have this fun, energetic duo whom I felt very safe with throughout my 13 days.

My son and I booked a private tour with a guide and porter. Right from the start the communication was prompt, helpful and informative.
Our guide Shyam was tentative and switched on from the moment we met him in Kathmandu. He was always taking care of our physical and mental needs and set a pace that was appropriate for us. Our guide had a great sense of humour and we enjoyed spending time with him on and off the track. Our porter Nima was also very caring and a great part of our team, even on days when he was not required he joined us on extra activities ie when we went to Manaslu base camp.
The scenery was epic and our guide Shyam made sure to point out anything that might have been of interest to us. When adjustments had to be made to our schedule they met our needs.
Thank you to Ace the Himalaya team for such a memorable trek that my son and I will not forget.

We had a most amazing experience walking the Manaslu circuit trek at the end of the season with hardly any other tourists around, while weather conditions were amazing.
The organization by Ace was great, we never had any safety or health insecurities, our guide Ram and porter Rames were always kind, attentive, helpful and competent - we wouldn’t want to have missed them!
The trek is unique in its own way, as it’s really authentic, not touristy at all, so you are able to experience authentic Nepalese life and culture.
In the evenings we enjoyed the wood fire with the natives, had always delicious dal bhat and fresh tea.
We stayed in comfy guesthouses that had everything you need to recover at high altitudes - hot showers, good meals and cozy beds, as well as stunning glimpses of the majestic mountains.
I’m really looking forward to coming back soon, and do another trek with ATH!
Thank you 🙏🏻

Amazing experience.
Manaslu circuit trek is beautiful and quite challenging. Much more difficult than EBC.
This is my third trek with ACE and they did a wonderful job putting together an itinerary that worked well for us.
Most importantly our guide Nimesh was sensational. He has great knowledge of the region, made sure we were safe and well briefed and he was joy to be with. Lots of laughs helped us get through some long and tiring days. Thank you Nimesh. You are a legend.
Also a massive thanks to our porters Bishal and Ujal (my spelling may be wrong). Lovely guys, good company and did a wonderful job carrying our kit bags. I am in awe of their strength and balance. Thank you guys,

This was my first time trekking and it was a challenging and rewarding experience! We were especially lucky to have Janu as our guide - his experience and reassurance made me feel confident doing the trek and he was a great source of local knowledge. Our porters were wonderful too: Limbodai was always smiling and Binod would constantly make sure we had everything we needed, from hot water to warm blankets. I am grateful to Janu, Limbodai, and Binod for making this trek the fantastic experience that it was.
