About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- NagatNYC0 contributionsBest Mount Everest Views without the crowdsSangita did an excellent job putting our trip to Nepal together. Everything worked like clockwork from the airport pick up to the drop off. She listened to our ideas and concerns and came up with the prefect trek for us (Pikey Peak). Throughout the entire planning and travel period she was always friendly, available and answered our questions without any delay. You could feel how much she cared about us and made sure we were ok both in Kathmandu as well as . She came and visited us in Kathmandu and even gave us a private walking tour in Thamil showing us some insider locations. The Pikey Peak trek was a spectacular hike along the Himalayans with stunning views of Mount Everest. Our guide, Mietra, was a local and knew the area very well. He also knew the owners of the Tea Houses and made sure we were very well taken care of. The warm breakfasts, lunches and dinners were all delicious everywhere. Our porter Buan always had a big smile on his face, despite the heavy bag he had to carry. Also a shoutout to our driver, who managed to drive us safely to/from the trails despite the very bad road conditions (most roads were washed away in September).Written 8 December 2024
- angie11newyork0 contributionsAmazing Nepal ExperienceTruly a unique experience - Sangita had everything organized perfectly from pick-ups to transfers and even checking in on us during the Pikey-Peak Trek to ensure we were ok. The trekking route (Pikey-Peak) was amazing, with Himalaya views most of the time. Our guide got us safely from teahouse to teahouse and knew all the people to interact with so well. We enjoyed delicious Nepali food in all locations, and bottled water was available everywhere as well. Our porter was reliable and always ready to assist with the luggage :) While trekking was not always easy, it made for a wonderful experience with amazing sights!!!Written 4 December 2024
- anguso1810 contributionsSangita is the best!It was my first time to Nepal and it could not have been any better! Sangita made everything run so smoothly and was always so willing to help. I couldn’t recommend Sangita any higher, I will be back!Written 2 December 2024
- Fearless408573448060 contributionsThank you very much!A very good company that is caring/responsive to any questions before and during the trip. Made travel seamless and would highly recommend. We did the Mardi Himal hike for 6nights and it was both challenging, yet extremely rewarding with the picturesque views. Sangita also helped us have an amazing time in Chitwan National Park - we saw rhinos!Written 2 December 2024
- ColinF14980 contributionsKathmandu Valley tourBefore we started on a typical long-distance trek (Annapurna Base Camp), Sangita organised a tailor-made short 2 day trek in the Kathmandu Valley and stays and tours to the the local villages and towns including to magical Patan, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu. The mixture of beautiful outdoors and culture was just what we wanted and Sangita's personal attention made the 7-day holiday very special.Written 29 November 2024
- U4080UMsarahb0 contributionsEverest Base Camp - An incredibly brilliant experienceSangita and Mitra were absolutely incredible. Sangita’s support through messaging and speaking whilst booking and preparing for our EBC trek was brilliant. Every question answered. We wanted a trek that was just for our family which Sangita had no problem organising and we chose our own dates. As soon as I enquired about the trek Sangita responded with suggestions and advice. We immediately felt reassured that we were in safe hands. In arriving in Kathmandu, Mitra met us at the airport and Sangita at the hotel for a trekking meeting. Mitra’s knowledge and guidance on the trek was excellent. We always felt looked after and incredibly supported. Mitra knows the trek so well and has so much support he can call on along the way, many of whom are friends and family. At the end of our trek the weather prevented planes and helicopters from landing in Lukla, most trekkers were stuck but Mitra organised porters, at a moments notice, to take our luggage further down the valley so we could get a helicopter back to Kathmandu. His calm and professional approach to every situation was so reassuring. We had the best time because of Sangita and Mitra’s professionalism. I highly recommend booking through Sangita, you will be in excellent hands. We hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did.Written 31 October 2024
- Iyra0 contributionsKathmandu & Pokhara - Mesmerising GemsFrom day one, our trip was destined to be awesome with Sangita and her team from Himalayan Namobuddha, preparing and organising our itinenary. We arrived in Kathmandu and were received in the traditional Nepalese way, garlanded with a typical Nepalese shawl. A welcome dinner in the evening with Sangita and Bipin further enhanced our first day in Kathmandu. Kathmandu is a bustling city with smiling faces on everyone. Thamel, Bhaktapur and Patan were very interesting and exciting places. The city lived up to it's claim - 'city of temples'. Beautiful scenes of the local people, culture and very colourful. I would like to make special mention to Ichaa (our guide) to show us around in Thamel and Patan. She was knowledgeable, helpful and engaged with such passion and charm that made our trip more memorable. Sangita was extraordinary right from the start - always willing to listen and oblige. Pokhara was out of this world. The view of the mountains were awesome and quite extraordinary, something I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thanks to Sangita - it was a wonderful & memorable trip and we hope to return soon.Written 8 October 2024
- bensN5348PA0 contributionsPoon Hill Trek - Monsoon SeasonAs first-time visitors to Nepal I can say that from beginning to end our experience in the country was made easier and profoundly more enjoyable by Sangita, Vpin, and Mitra at Namobuddha. They handled our airport transportation, scheduled logistics in a timely fashion, and were consistently responsive to our questions or needs. Mitra was an incredible guide for our three-day hike through the Poon Hill area during monsoon season. He coordinated our lodging and food, while guiding us through rough weather and terrain all while providing us with information about the mountains around us. Beyond that, he was simply a pleasure to hang out with. It truly felt like all the folks at Namobuddha cared not just about earning their pay, but providing us with a meaningful introduction to Nepal and an enjoyable week in the country. On future return visits in which I need a guide or touring services I absolutely plan to go to them first.Written 24 July 2024
- PenSteeler0 contributionsGokyo Lake and Everest Base Camp TrekThis was my 2nd trekking trip through Sangita's company. Like last time, Sangita's handling of all logistics made everything go smoothly. When our flight to Lukla got canceled, Sangita immediately arranged for a Jeep ride. She also quickly rebooked the return flight to a different date. Sangita also arranged for the same guide, Rabin, as my last trek which made it easy and comfortable for me since I was traveling alone this time. Due to Rabin's experience and attention, I felt comfortable and safe throughout the Gokyo Lake/Everest Base Camp trek even though we had to hike through a few dangerous spots, especially due to the monsoon season. I will definitely book another trip with Sangita as soon as I can.Written 8 July 2024
- U9574ICgeorgeb0 contributions2024 Trek to ABC (including Poon Hill)2nd trek to Nepal using Sangita and her team. My 1st was the Lang Tang Valley Trek in September 2023. Most recent trek was ABC Trek including Poon Hill (April 2024). An amazing trek. Again Sangita and her team handled all of the logistics flawlessly. Looking forward to engaging the team again in 2025 for EBC!Written 26 May 2024
- taffyg130 contributionsAn amazing local operatorIf you need a person to arrange your holiday in Nepal, Sangita and her team are the best. Faultless service, punctual, friendly knowledgeable guides, great online communication. She was very obliging and always responded quickly to my question. From the moment arrived to the day we left, Sangita managed all our needs. The most organised tour company I have ever dealt with. Thank you !!Written 16 May 2024
- 928paulz0 contributionsImpeccable Service! My friend Russ and I had an amazing experience with our trek, Due to health issues we were not able to hike as we had planned. Sangita was absolutely brilliant in arranging for us to have a jeep driver so we could complete our experience. Our guide, Mitra, was helpful, caring, accommodating, and wonderful. We had a major problem when we arrived for our return flight to Kathmandu and found that the Pokhara airport was closed. We called Sangita for help and she quickly arranged for a driver (Nabin) who picked us up at the airport and drove the 200 kilometers to Kathmandu in record time to get us to the airport for our international flight home. Sangita also arranged for the luggage we had left in storage at our hotel in Kathmandu to be picked up and to meet us at the airport. Thanks to her impeccable serve, we made our international flights. The service was exemplary, above and beyond anything we could have imagined. Thank youWritten 29 April 2024
- Julia_TrAdMember0 contributionsPoon Hill Trek arranged by Sangita - would definitely recommendWe did the Poon Hill Trek in February 2024 with Sangita's agency. We planned it on very short notice and Sangita was super flexible and adapted the trip to our needs. Everything was very well organized. Our guide Rabin and our porter Izur were both really friendly and we had a lot of fun together. Rabin is very knowledgeable and gave us lots of interesting information about the mountains, villages and landscape we passed through. Thank you Sangita, Rabin and Izur for this amazing experience!Written 17 March 2024

- Trip578426228660 contributionsAmazing himalayas trek arranged by SangitaOur trek in the Himalayas arranged by Sangita and her team was AMAZING. Everything was coordinated really well and we had a terrific experience overall. The guides she set us up with, Bhim and Mahn, were excellent. They were really kind, funny, knowledgeable and provided great service. We were impressed by all of the tea houses and lodges that we stayed in along our trek and the route was well planned based on our groups needs. Sangita and her team were very professional and made sure we had everything we needed and answered all of our questions. We had 2 meetings with them before the trek so that we could hash out all the details and they made sure we were 100% set. I would definitely recommend booking with Sangita for any Nepal adventures whether it is a trek, a Chitwan jungle tour, or anything else that they offer.Written 9 December 2023

Bipin is an amazing guide. He shared so much information throughout the two and a half hour tour. I especially appreciated the anecdotes relating to the history, culture and business practices in Kathmandu generally and Thamel specifically. The tour was well paced and Bipin managed the time very well. I definitely recommend this tour for a quick orientation of Thamel too.

The walk is my most enjoyable tour of Kathmandu so far. Bipin is truly knowledgeable and knows all the fascinating facts about the place, and you can ask him anything. The places he took me, I had also not found myself, when I did an initial walk around the place on arrival. I have learnt so much more about Kathmandu, about the people and the place from him. He is also very sincere and comfortable to be with.

Great way to get a feel for the area. I was lucky enough to have the guided walk to myself.
Bipin was a wonderful guide with a wealth of knowledge. I found out a lot about the Asan and Thamel areas, culture and religion and we visited spots that I would not have found on my own. It also gave me more confidence to explore on my own.
My only disappointment was that I didn't receive the map mentioned in the trip notes. But I only remembered when we had finished because I was so absorbed with the tour!

Despite the early start and very cold weather, our guide amazed us with hidden gems, things we would never have found on our own. He was thoughtful and took our very cold and tired 9 yr old into consideration.
