      • Difficulty Rating of Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking : Any avid walker who is able to hike approximately 5-6 hours a day carrying a lightweight backpack will be fit enough to do this trek. We recommend you bring walking poles, as you will find them helpful especially in the long descents when your legs may feel shaky, and the stone steps are uneven. The altitude is only 3200m, so there is no altitude related risk.
      • Re-charging Batteries of Electronic Items on the Trek : You can recharge your digital camera, iPod, batteries etc. with electricity or solar power sources. You may need to buy an adaptor in Kathmandu before the trip since the plugs in Nepal might be different. The lodges charge a small fee per hour for recharging facilities. Nepal uses 220-240 volts to power your appliances. The sockets fit both round and flat plugs.
      • Extra Advice for Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking : You will see many sweet village children, and you may want to give them something. Remember, many trekkers have felt the same. It is better not to distribute balloons, candy, money or even pens to village children as it encourages them to beg. Many children now ask for Mithai (candy) Paisa (Money) and Boom boom (balloon). During the trekking, keep your valuable goods safe. Lock your door when you leave your guesthouse room. You are also advised not to leave your laundry hanging outside at night.
      • Garbage Disposal : Don’t throw anything into the fire in any house, Buddhist or Hindu. In most cultures the household gods live in Kitchen. Spending Money per Day Although it depends on your spending habits, you should allocate US$ 7 - 10 per meal in Kathamndu. On the trek, US$9 - 12 a day should be enough to buy chocolates, Coca Cola and a beer.
      • Travel Insurance for Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek : It is strongly recommended to be sufficiently protected when you go into remote areas. You need specialized travel insurance that covers emergency evacuation, injury, lost baggage, liability and medical treatment. Make sure the insurance covers all the activities that you will be undertaking during your stay in Nepal. Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. can organize the appropriate medical response based on your polic
      • Washing and Toilet facilities for Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking : Most lodges offer hot showers, though sometimes a hot shower means a bucket of hot water. You can ask your trekking guide about the availability. For ecological reasons please try and limit your use of hot water unless the water is solar-heated. Please note that at higher altitude and in colder seasons there is very little chance to have enough hot water for all the trekkers. If the water is frozen then ask your guide to get warm bowl of water. Every lodge will have some kind of hand washing facility but it is good idea to carry a bar of soap with you. Toilets are usually Asian squat style and vary in how clean they are. Normally toilets are outside the lodge but now some lodges have attached or indoor toilets. The rubbish bin in the toilet is kept for your used toilet paper.
      • Tea Houses : On the popular trekking routes villagers have built tea house lodges with plenty of character and good food. The simple rooms usually have two narrow beds. When you stay in the tea houses you will have close contact with the Nepalese people and are directly contributing to the local economy.

        Amazing !!!
I can't speak highly enough of Ngima and Jangbu for making such a memorable trip so seamless. From the warm welcome at the airport from Ngima to Jangu going above and beyond when I got sick , it really was an incredible trip. You made two old high school friends incredibly happy and can't wait to come back for another trip

We were very well taken care of!
We trekked the Langtang, Gosainkunda & Helambu over 15 days. Ngima answered all our questions promptly leading up to our trip. Once in Nepal everything was very well organized from transportation to gear rental and much more. Jangmu was a prefect guide; we were very impressed with her deep knowledge of the Nepali culture which she shared generously. We were proud to have a female guide, other trekkers wanted to steal Jangmu as she always got us the best rooms in the best teahouses. Tshring not only carried our bag, he helped us often and made us laugh and the two together were a lot of fun. The trail was amazing and is not as crowed as some others. We passed through a great variety of regions with different characteristics. After the trek we spent a few days exploring Kathmandu. Ngima and Tenzin invited us into their home for a delicious Diwali dinner. Ngima, Tenzin, Jangmu and Tshring, thanks again for this amazing experience. We highly recommend Annapurna Foothills for anyone visiting Nepal.

Amazing Nepal experience with a reliable organization
On October 18, 2024 I reached the summit of Mera Peak - at the age of 74. Huge thanks to Ngima and his team at Annapurna Foothills. From the moment I arrived in Kathmandu, they made me feel more than welcome and went above and beyond my expectations. The tour was perfectly organized arranging pick-ups from the airport, lodging, jeep transportation, booking bus tickets, also arranging the trip to Chitwan and much more. Our trekking and climbing guide Dendi Sherpa was a perfect guide, highly professional and supportive. He and our two porters Nima and Karma did their best every day to make us feel comfortable and enjoy the trekking and summiting. It has been one of my hardest and at the same time of the best mountain climb. If it was not for Dendi Sherpa I would not have stood on Mera Peak. I highly recommend Annapurna Foothills services for any trip to Nepal.

Wow!! This trek was incredible !! Everything about it was perfect, it was very well organised, and exactly as described. We had a wonderful guide and porter who were great fun, super supportive and attentive to our needs. The trek was done at a perfect pace for us with some flexibility each day to trek more or less depending how we felt. My amazing experience in Nepal with Annapurna Foothills
I climbed island peak and did the 3 pass trek with Annapurna Foothills and I really enjoyed the experience. The guides Tenzing and Mingma were really great and took good care of all of us, they managed to solve all the unexpected problems, the food and accommodations were good and the whole experience was really enjoyable because of the good atmosphere of the group. I recommend Annapurna Foothills trek to anyone going to Nepal, whether for climbing or trekking in Khumbu or Langtang. Thank you Ngima for everything and for climbing my first 6000er mountain.

        Outstanding Mountaineering Experience
I recently completed the Everest 3 High Passes trek + Island Peak Climbing with Annapurna Foothills, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Our guides, Tenzing and Mingma, were amazing. They ensured our comfort throughout the trip and made countless efforts to enhance our experience. Each night, we stayed in local tea houses that were both comfortable and served delicious food. They even took us around the towns for additional exploration whenever we desired. The trekking pace was perfectly suited to our group, with well-timed breaks in scenic and sheltered spots for meals. Snacks were provided, and every detail of the journey was meticulously planned to ensure our enjoyment. I am especially thankful to Tenzing for showing concern and care when I felt very ill on one of the days early in the trip. She arranged suitable meals, and I was able to quickly recover by the next morning to carry on. Tenzing and Mingma added numerous special touches that made the trek unforgettable. We enjoyed a picnic beside a lake at the Kongma La Pass and a guided tour of the Thame Monastery. Their extensive knowledge and friendly demeanor greatly enriched our experience. When bad weather disrupted flights from Lukla Airport, the guides quickly arranged alternative transportation by jeep/van. This proactive approach showcased their experience, flexibility and quick thinking. I highly recommend Annapurna Foothills for any trekking adventure in Nepal. They truly go above and beyond to ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience.

An amazing time with amazing people
This was my first time mountaineering and Annapurna Foothills provided me with the best experience I ever had. During the entire trip, Tenzing and Mingma spared no effort in ensuring we were comfortable. The local tea houses we stayed at each night was comfortable and had really good food. They brought us around the towns once we arrived if we decided to explore a little more. During the trek, we were provided snacks and the pace was appropriate for us. They would choose really nice places for us to break too, ensuring there isn’t too much wind or to have a really nice view as you are having your lunch. They were flexible in allowing for some changes in the program too. During the hike, some of us wanted to take a different route and they catered to our requests as long as it wasn’t a very big deviation. Overall I had a really good time with them and would recommend them to anyone heading to Nepal for their hike!

Great experience at Everest 3 Pass
Did the Everest 3 High Pass with Annapurna Foothills. It was an amazing experience. The guides Tenzing and Mingma are friendly and knowledgeble. They also do a lot of little touches to make the trek memorable; we had a the picnic beside a lake at the Kong La Ma pass, a guided walkthrough of the Thame Monastery, etc To be frank, the 3 high passes are noy easy (certainly much harder than EBC). Each requiring 6-8 hours of relatively brisk trekking and have some difficult (ie. Steep, scrambling) sections. Thats why i am all the more impressed by the porters who followed us through all 3 of the passes. The guides are also flexible. For example, once we suspected that there would be bad weather and no flights from Lukla Airport, they quickly took action to arrange jeep/van (note: need to walk 4+ hrs to nearest road) for us to return to Kathmandu, hence saving us the need to pay for helicopter. Overall had a great experience. Would recommend.

Annapurna trek in the Nar Phu valley
I have been with Annapurna Foothill Trek for a 22 days, within an Italian group of 8 people. Our route was an alternative to the classic Annapurna trek. We went along the Nar-Phu valley, we passed the Kang La and then Lake Tilicho before tackling the Thorung La. All in all it has been a fantastic experience, with an outstanding service from Annapurna Foothill Trek. Ngima was our guide and has been always very professional and carefull. They took us from our arrival at the airport until our departure . Finally we visited Kathmandu with a city guide from Annapurna Foothill and even in this case the organization was perfect and the visits to the different locations were fantastic. I would reccomend Annapurna Foothill Trek for everyone would want to visit Nepal for trekking or mountaineering and also if you want to visit Kathmandu only. Thanks Ngima !

        Mera Peak, Amphu Labsta Pass
We had simple an amazing time in Nepal thanks the team of Annapurna foothills. Ngima was extremely helpful in planning our personalized itenerary in the Everest region where we made a round over Mera Peak, Amphu Labsta Pass, Everest Basecamp and Cho Lo Pass. Dendi Sherpa was a perfect guide, both fun and supportive. If it was not for him we would not have stood on Mera Peak. After seeing the rockfall on Island Peak we decided to change itenerary, which was arranged very smoothly by the Annapurna foothills staff.

        Highly recommended!!
Did the 3 peak (Mera, Island and Lobuche East) climb with Annapurna Foothills. Everything was very well organised. Ngima and Dawa were always very fast with answering questions beforehand and once in Nepal everything was taken care of. From transfers to gear checking and much more. Because we had bad weather when trying to fly to Lukla (people were stuck for 3 days), Dawa quickly arranged other means of (adventurous) transport so we wouldn't miss the start of our tour. Once we met up with our porters and guides, the real adventure began. Our climbing guide Mingmar and Dawa arranged everything during the trek (Mingmar even baked a birthday cake!) and our porters were more than amazing! The porters are not allowed to carry too much weight (15kg per guest) and were handed warm clothes, socks and boots before the trek. All of them made sure we had the best possible experience in Nepal. Still don't know how Mingmar got me up all 3 mountains :-). It was an absolutely beautiful trek with remote valleys, stunning views and absolutely lovely people. Would definitely recommend Annapurna Foothills for any of your trips to Nepal!! Ngima, Dawa, Mingmar and porters, thanks again for this amazing experience!

Best Nepal experience I could imagine...
I spend almost two months in Nepal in 2023. I Booked two trips with Annapurna Foothills, I spend a week in the Langtang Valley and did the Three Peaks trek in the Everest Region. Both the trips were great, beautiful scenary, great guides and porters, everything perfectly arranged. But Annapurna Foothills did so much more. I can honestly say that from the day I landed until the day I left they took care of me. Arranging pick-ups from the airport, booking bustickets and domestic flights, arranging my trip to Chitwan etc etc. Nigma is wife Tenzin and Dawa are the most lovely people you can imagine, I am so happy I met them and I learned so much from them about Nepal and Nepali culture. So if you are thinking about taking a trip to Nepal don't hesitate to book with them!

Baruntse 2023 - hard and beatuful
0n 05-Nov-2023 me and my guide, Ngawa Sherpa, summited Baruntse (7129 - 7159 m, depends from a source). I had known Annapurna_Foothills and the guide Ngawa from some earlier visits to Nepal and I knew I could trust them. As I travelled solo I adjusted a standard plan of Baruntse expedition to my needs (e.g. I didn't fly to Lukla but went by jeep to Bung for better acclimatization). The company was flexible and there was no problem to follow my programm. I can honestly recommend them. The path to the summit was really difficult but worth of the struggle. And the assistance of my guide, Ngawa, was extraordinary. Andrzej (Poland)

        Wonderful Experience
The trek was well-planned and we had sufficient time to acclimatise to the altitude. Ngima and his team were very attentive and patient to our needs and we felt very well taken care of. I am an amateur trekker but the trek was manageable for me physically. The scenery, including dreamy forests, rolling hills, terraces and giant snow capped mountains, was gorgeous! Overall a wonderful experience.
