Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath, a pagoda style Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is considered to be the powerhouse of Hindu spiritual power in religious terms. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple is 6 kms from Kathmandu city and just a few hundred meters from the end of the runway at Tribhuwan International Airport. Non-Hindus are not allowed to enter the main temple, but you can view the temple from the east bank of River Bagmati. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. Behind the temples are the cremation grounds.

Stop At: Boudhanath Stupa, Boudh Boudha, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
BoudhnathStupa: Listed in the UNESCO World Heritage list, this enormous stupa where thousands of pilgrims gather daily to make a ritual circumnavigation of the dome, beneath the watchful eyes of the Buddha, which gaze out from the gilded central tower. This is one of the few places in the world where Tibetan Buddhist culture is accessible and unfetered, and the lanes around the stupa are crammed with monasteries and the surrounding is a paraphernalia for Buddhist life.

Swoyambhunath Temple: This Buddhist Stupa, said to be 2000 years old is a perfect architecture of gilded spire and white washed dome located under thousands of fluttering prayer flags. From the spire, four faces of Buddha stare out across the valley in the cardinal directions. The entire structure is symbolic. The white dome represents the earth, the nose like shape below the piercing eyes is actually the nepali number ‘one’ signifying unity, and above is a third eye signifying the insight of the Buddha, while the 13 tiered beehive like structure at the top symbolizes the 13 stages that human being has to pass through to achieve nirvana. The base is ringed by prayer wheels which pilgrims circuiting the stupa spin each one as they pass by.

The city of Patan is believed to have been built in the third century B.C. by the Kirat dynasty. It was expanded by Lichhavis in the 6th century A.D. and again by the Mallas in medieval period. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the former royal palace complex is the center of Patan’s religious and social life, and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects.

World Heritage Sites and Wildlife 7 days / with Maina
I had a wonderful trip with Maina. We visited Kathmandu, the surrounding Palaces and temples and it was a travel in time and tradition. Maina took me to the National Botanical Garden as well as I am a nature Lover. We travelled together to CHITWAN National Park and the location of the hotel as well as the local Guides were really perfect. They thought me a lot about the wildlife in the lowlands of Nepal. For sure I will call Maina for another travel in NEPAL. Thank you again for your kindness and professionalism.

Thank you Maina
Maina is a very nice guide and she showed me a lot around Kathmandu within 3 days. Getting around Kathmandu is not at all easy and I am glad I have found Maina's tour to get me around the places in the most efficient way. Maina explained the history of the cultural sites in details and told me stories in the palace of the royal family which I wouldn't have known much if going by myself. The drive is a nice gentleman too; you have to be amazed by his driving skill in this maze called Thamel. I highly recommend Eve Holidays if you want to make the most of your holiday in Nepal.

Six days Kathmandu Pokhara tour
With my two colleagues i was travelling to Nepal and together we planned to do this tour.We stumbled upon this company and sent my first inquiry email. I was impressed that they responded in less than an hour and addressed our requirements very precisely. Finally 3 of us booked with them. I cannot stop myself appreciating the Eve Holidays team for making our experience so lovely. Accomodation in Kathmandu was in Thamel and our rooms were ideally located away from noise. We had breakfast in the hotel which were perfect buffet breakfast. We had 2 complimentry dinners in Kathmandu with Maina. She is very friendly and nice lady and i am glad recommending this company. Best Trekking Experience Ever !
Best Trekking Experience Ever ! Review: Everest Base Camp Trek was our plan for this time. We are regular travelers and had been to Nepal once before as well. My girlfriend and me, we are very happy to have chosen Eve Holidays for our trek. Maina was very much quick in responding to our inquiries and in accommodating all our requirements in our budget. We finally booked with Eve Holidays and did Everest Base Camp Trek with our guide Pasang and porter Suraj. Maina was in touch with us throughout our trip making sure all the time that our experience was pleasing. We are overwhelmed with the level of service and personalized care they provided. There was nothing more we could ask for. Everything was perfect. Sadly we have our flight home tonight and will have to leave but we will come back again to see these wonderful people and this beautiful country.

Best Company for budget travelers
Hi I did Annapurna Sanctuary Trek with this company. This was my first experience trekking in Nepal and I was a bit anxious about altitude problem and safety issues.I also wanted the trek to be in my budget. But when I started exchanging emails with them, my doubts were made clear and I finally decided to book with this company. It was a wonderful experience trekking in Nepal and I thank Eve Holidays team for this. My guide in the mountains,Pasang was very caring, funny and he knew the area very well. I enjoyed his stories about people and his experiences with people from different parts of world. Food and accomodation was very good (dont expect as back home, you are trekking in the remote mountains) and families running these tea house lodges were very friendly and welcoming and the mountain views was just amazing.

The architecture of this atient building, their history and coulter is really good conversated through this amazing and kind lady! We also visited a monastery for Buddhist munks, and it was really a memorable experience! And not to forget the beautiful Stupas of Kathmandu! A nice and experienced driver followed us everywhere, so we never had to walk a long distance! I would highly recommend Eve Holidays and Maina as a guide! And if you don't have a place to stay while you'r in Kathmandu, you can look for Maina's house at Airbnb (Saras Home - a luxery stay!), we did and it was an amazing experience!

Me and my husband with our two kids we had stayed at Saras Home ( home stay ) in Kathmandu for two weeks. Maina, the owner of the home stay also runs a tour company. As we were on long holidays we decided to go for holidays outside Kathmandu. She arranged for us Explore Nepal tour for 15 days and that was just an amazing experience. She is very courteous and helpful from the very beginning. She also joined the tour with us during Kathmandu tour. The guides and drivers were very professional and friendly and all the accommodation she provided were superb. I am extremely satisfied with their service and happy to recommend Eve Holidays.
