He is an excellent driver and btw. he knows a lot about the different traditions of the ethnic groups, wildlife (spec. Birds !! ) , He also knows the best places for authentic food . It was always amusing with him. Yama Tours always followed our wishes and proposals about accommodations and other changes without extra costs. Everything was well planned and organized. I traveled with a friend in Addis Ababa, it was an amazing trip, the guide was kind, with a lot of knowledge, I felt very safe and I received excellent treatment and value for money, I learned about the culture and the food, a highly recommended trip.

Yama took such good care of us, even when Ethiopian Airlines delayed a flight for a day, Yama, at no cost to us, put us up in a 5-star hotel in Addis, arranged the new flight and provided all the shuttles for us. The guides we had were just fantastic; the food amazing and the history beyond belief. We always felt very safe and taken care of and the Ethiopians couldn't have been nicer, more welcoming and open. We are already planning another trip for up there.

The tour was very organized. The guide and the driver were excellent!!! so professionals and so nice. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had very good English.. They made the trip to Ethiopia a very special experience.

We did 4-day tour in Amhara with a focus on Lalibela. Our friend highly recommended Yama tours and she spoke highly about her trip in Ethiopia. So we emailed Mr.Tarik and he got back to us only in few minutes with itinerary and what we could do in 4 days in Amhara region. Everything went smoothly since the booking and throughout the trip. We were greeted at the airport on time (we used 3 domestic flights in this trip). Our agents, Mr. Estifanos (in Lalibela) and Mr. Tilahun (in Gondar and Bahir Dar) are very professional, considerate and knowledgeable. We got to see spectacular event in Lalibela’s rock-cut churches during Orthodox easter. Mr. Estifanos always made sure we get to see everything, including very local places like local markets, goat and cattle markets and even invited us to his home for traditional meal after fasting! In Gondar and Bahir Dar, we traveled with a very good conditioned Landcruiser. We love how flexible and considerate Mr. Tilahun search for us the local place to have freshwater fish, it is our best dining experience so far! Highly recommended this company.

We did a day and a half tour cum site-seeing with Yama Tours. My favorite part was the way in which Tariq and Tesfaye, the good English speaking guides, explained to us about the country's history. We went to Mount Entoto, saw the palace and the park, the two museums (ethnologic and national), Tiglachin square, Marketo market. We also went to some souvenir shops, went to buy the amazing leather products, spices (mitmita) and coffee. All along, they were very polite and patient. One and half days very well spent. I would highly recommend the tour.

I am an airline crew with so many travel schedules and a passionate on exploring around when ever I have short layover and I contacted Yama tours in short notice and they did amazing job in arranging my trip to Awash national park. Swift response and efficient in providing all information. My friends and I had wonderful time at Doho lodge and game drives in the park. I did a 5 day Eastern cultural tour with Yama Tours Ethiopia. The tour was excellent and extremely informative, a once in a lifetime experience made better by the services of Yama tours. I’m reviewing my tour with Yama Tours which, because of the pandemic, did not happen. It is important to chose a reputable tour operator and one you can trust. Our tour had to be cancelled because of both the pandemic and civil unrest. In these situations, you are concerned about your deposit. Yama Tours could not have been more thorough, trust worthy or understanding. Hopefully, within a year, we will be able to rebook our trip with them, having dealt with them in adversity, we look forward to joining them once situations allow, Ethiopia is a travel ambition and we couldn’t be happier to enjoy it in the capable hands of Yama Tours!

I traveled to Ethiopia on family emergency case recently while and needed to quarantine for 2 weeks in Addis Ababa I did some research for 3 days vacant time before I returned to Germany after family visit so I contacted few tour companies and Yama tours was the only one responded with all possible optional trip I can do during this pandemic. Mr. Tarik was very quick in respond and professional in his advice so I too two trips , Debre Libanos and Lake Wonchi which was great choices and escape from Addis. I enjoyed the view and the country side landscape very much and lean the history of Ethiopia. My guide Syoum was excellent and very knowledge. He was very careful with all precaution of Covid 19 and he took care of me very well. I was lucky to have those two very nice trips arranged by Yam tours in very short time notice and I hope to be back when this pandemic is over to do longer trips. My fiancee and I took a beautiful trip to some of the sites in northern Ethiopia. We wanted to put together a custom trip, since this wasn't our first time in Ethiopia, and Tariku was extremely accommodating. He is extremely helpful and responsive and was even able to get us two nights in a spa in Bahir Dar, which had been fully booked over the New Year. Tariku is extremely knowledgeable and Yama Tours is easily the best tour company around. I would highly recommend them!

I was traveling with my sister in Ethiopia and we booked Yama Tours for sightseeing in Addis, Lalibela, Gondar, and Axum! We were very happy with the excellent service provided by our tour guides and drivers overall. Especially our guide Stephanus in Lalibela who was amazing! He was very knowledgable and knew the history of the area so well! We were very pleased with Yama's services. I have used Yama Tours before as well for a trip to Guassa and Awash and by now know several of their drivers and staff members - they are all wonderful people who are very trustworthy and responsible.
