I have booked the full day excursion safari and river cruise in the Chobe National Park in Botswana, it is a must for nature lovers! We enjoyed our excursion , Simon collected us from our lodge and drove us to Zimbabwe border to enter Botswana , guided and helped us . He also accompanied us all day at Chobe Safari Park , lunch at one of the CRESTA Mowana-Safari Resort & Spa , beautiful resort . It is where we started our river cruise to Botswana River. I will highly recommend Simon - Africa Beast Safari, his professional, great customer service . Overall what a fantastic day and service . We really enjoyed and we returned back to our lodge safely .

Brilliant day safari. Collected by driver at 0600 from our Vic falls hotel. A long drive of 3 hours, but interesting scenery on the way and an excellent driver Liberty, very knowledgeable and good company. Saw many animals, hippo, elephant, zebra, lion, giraffe and very fortunate to be the only group who spotted and watched a leopard. Very good hot lunch provided plus soft drinks. Guides very thorough. Back in Vic Falls by 8 p.m, only slightly late as Liberty took us via the Painted Fog rehab centre where we were able to have 20 minutes viewing two dogs they had there, recovering from a lion attack. A really worthwhile day trip.

Simon put together an absolutely stunning trip of Zimbabwe for me. Simon was very hands on and communicative and reliable. The trip was well planned to give me rest and breaks while also thoroughly immersing me in the beauty of Victoria Falls and the adventures of safaris. My trip was perfect to give me the full experience of seeing Victoria Falls, the Zambezi, and multiple days of safaris. Simon was also very helpful in last minute changes of schedule and activities due to my changes in schedule and needs. 10/10 would absolutely recommend Simon!

We only had a short amount of time in Victoria falls region, so we went with Simon and Africa Beast Safaris to visit Chobe National Park for a day trip. Simon was incredible and he made it incredibly easy and enjoyable to cross over to Botswana and experience both a land tour via an open air 4x4 and also a boat tour on the Chobe river. All of our guides on both of those excursions were amazing. On the 4x4 tour we saw lions, lots of antelope, lots of elephants, water buffalo and more. The boat tour was what our family enjoyed the most. It was incredible getting up close and personal with hippos, giant crocs, elephants, birds and buffalo. We would highly recommend this tour. Plus lunch was amazing!

Due to unforseen circumstances our booked cruise didnt happen with the above company. Simon was so helpful and booked us on another cruise. He went out of his way to sort things out by visiting us at our hotel and returning our original booking payment. Well done Simon and thank you. We would recommend this company highly.

They canceled our reservation a few days before arrival without any reasons. Hopefully we found another dinner cruise to the best company around (this is what our lodge said to us) with Pure africa.

I carefully researched tours and tour companies before booking a day trip for my family from Zimbabwe to Botswana for the Chobe day trip. It's a lot of money for the day and I feel like Africa Beast was the best company of them all. It seems like most of the companies offer the same day trip including transportation to the park, a game drive, meal at a lodge, a boat ride through Chobe river and then transport back to the hotel/lodge you started from. The main thing I noticed is that many tours cost a bit more, and then you have fees to enter the park on top of your tour fees. Africa Beast had all park fees included and beat the other guides prices. We even had the owner of the company transport us personally to the game driver at the Botswana border. We then easily went through the day with our guide DC, we saw lots of animals, but we saw lion for the first time, and 3 of them at that. We live in South Africa for 3 months of every year and have been on countless drives but this is the first time to see lion in the bush! We also saw cape buffalo, elephant, hippo, Crocs, kudu, impala, monkeys, baboons, birds and more. We learned that the rhino have been removed from the park due to poaching, but the rest of the big 5 can potentially be seen. No sign of any leopard during our day time drive, but what an absolute delight so see a lioness and 2 males! The lodge that Simon arranged for our lunch was absolutely beautiful and the lunch was very nice. Be advised that the lodge provides food with the tour, but not beverages. There is a little gift shop so I was able to get some earrings as a souvenir from that country, and after eating we just sat in an outdoor lounge and soaked in the view of the river. From the lodge we departed for the river ride portion of the tour. DC got us up close again to Crocs, hippo, buffalo, and elephant. He also explained how we were in an international waterway with Botswana on one side and Namibia on the other. On our way back to the lodge he pointed out a Namibian fisherman padding standing up in a canoe. The only other thing to note aside from paying for beverages is that a $10 US tip per person is suggested for your game driver. It was good to know ahead of time what the appropriate amount was for DC. Overall, it was a fantastic day that Simon organized and was well worth the price for the experience we will never forget. We recently returned to the UK from 9 days in Zimbabwe and Zambia, with 6 of those days spent in the care of Simon from Africa Beast Safaris. Simon booked accommodation, tours and travel, and either shepherded us himself or arranged transportation as necessary. We decided to book with Simon because he had great reviews, his quotation was very clear and he was responsive in all our pre-arrival communications. Our experience lived up to his excellent reputation and we loved our holiday at Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park. Simon was friendly and attentive with a great sense of humour, responding to our requests and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. My wife and I are very happy to recommend Simon and his company. By accident we came upon Africa Beast Safari while we were in a world cruise in early April this year (2024) as we wanted to go overland for safari and tour Victoria Falls. Simon, who runs Africa Beast Safari is incredible! Simon responded to our inquiry promptly and professionally and we booked for six days...Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park and Hwange National Park. Simon took care of EVERYTHING...our transfers, hotels, guides, safaris, boat cruises, helicopter ride, Boma dinner and an awesome traditional village tour. One we booked our tour with Simon he arranged ALL the details. Every guide was on time and very professional. We always felt safe and we absolutely had a BLAST! Our accommodations were so amazing and the food excellent! Way beyond our expectations! We saw so many animals and felt that we had truly immersed ourselves into this beautiful country. Simon even took us to dinner and we had the privilege of really getting to know this amazing man...he is now our friend for life. If you're planning a trip to Victoria Falls I highly recommend Simon and Africa Beast Safaris. We had originally just booked a Hwange day tour with Africa Beast, but Simon offered to provide transport to and from the airport and helped us book activities for the rest of the trip as well. We enjoyed a sunset cruise on the Zambezi, the Gorge Swing, a Helicopter Ride, White Water rafting, and of course the Hwange Safari, all of which Simon coordinated for us and each was an incredible experience in and of itself. Each excursion is operated by a different provider, but Simon arranged everything for us to fit with our schedule. In addition to being a great local guide, Simon was consistently punctual and professional and a huge help with making the most of our trip to Vic falls. Can't recommend enough!!!

We were hoping this cruise would be better. We carefully considered all the choices provided to us by The Victoria Fall Hotel and thought this would be the best. We reserved the upper deck because viewing and services were described as being the best. We were picked up at our hotel along with another couple we did not know. We then made 3 more stops to get more passengers. This was fine and done in a timely comfortable fashion. Our driver, I think his name was Leo was a little too chatty for us. After the fact, we wished he had been more chatty about the procedure to get us back to our hotels. More about that later. We had assigned seating which unfortunately for us was in the blazing sun. Others were seated undercover, we were not aware that there was a choice. Luckily, we found seating elsewhere without the help of staff. The crew seemed overrun with customers as the wait for drinks took a long time at the start of the cruise The info the hotel gave us was that maximum seating was 20. There were more than that on our deck. One large group had young children and one was overcome with the heat. They had her covered up on the couch with pillows to protect her from the sun. That was a little concerning as she looked unwell. Another young girl was running and tripped over a long metal piece dividing the outside area from the covered one. She landed on her face. Seemed unhurt just scared. Her parents should have been watching her but weren't. We enjoyed the gourmet canapes provided by the Victoria Falls Hotel and the drinks were served in a timely manner after the initial start of the cruise. Animal sighting was not great, but that's not anyone's fault. The boat was very nice and looking at the others on the river, we were glad we chose this one. Staff made good drinks and were pleasant. The sunset was beautiful. Our biggest complaint was the handling of our return to The Victoria Falls Hotel. We got off the boat and went to the designated area. Everyone else did too, except for 3 people. Instead of our driver going to see where they were after a reasonable time, he did not. We sat on the bus for over 30 minutes waiting. After about another 15 or more minutes the driver went to look for them. He should have done that long before !!! He came back and said they were staying there and not returning with us. That was rude on their part, but the driver should have gone to look for them a lot sooner. It was only a short walk back to the boat. We left without them, but we wasted a lot of time waiting. We missed our dinner reservation because of it, as we got back too late. I think the drivers should make it clear that you will be left behind if you do not show up at the appointed time. Our driver was too busy making jokes when he should have been doing just that.

This was amazing! The dinner cruise starts about one hour before sunset, so we were on the river during sunset. We saw an elephant crossing / swimming across the entire river. The captain of the boat was very willing to turn the boat around so that we could all watch. The food was delicious. The drinks were excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive to any needs. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Brilliant, not commercialised so you will only be with a ranger and see the big five 😉.just make sure your jeep has comfy seats or you will suffer . There are brick toilets on this tour which is a good send if you have a weak bladder .

Had a brilliant brilliant day doing a water and land safari. Water Guide Vincent was fantastic. Knowledgeable, insightful and what a set of eyes, could tell a Crocodile from a log at 250m with out Binoculars. Saw loads of families of elephants (including one that was 1 week old!) Hippos, Crocs, Water Buffalo, Birds (Including an Eagle), Impala and a heard of Zebra. On the Land Safari, more Elllies, Impala, Lions, Giraffe and a Jackal. Food at the hotel was superb, Fillet steak for Lunch!! Even crossing in Botswana was good fun - the bridge and the people. One of the best days of my Life
