About
The seven day Lemosho variation is preferred over the six day option because it breaks up day two into two days, providing better acclimatization and a more gradual ascent. On the seven day route, we walk from Forest Camp to Shira Camp 1 on day two, a reasonable altitude gain of 2,000 feet. Then on day three, we continue from Shira Camp 2 to the little used Moir Hut, at 13,800 feet. Overall the exposure to this altitude will help prepare the body for higher altitudes coming on the following days.
However, the trek from Barranco to Barafu, followed by the summit day are unchanged from the six day Lemosho variation. This schedule is still very tough, though the extra day on the mountain on the seven day route will help climbers deal with the exhausting itinerary better than those who opted for the six day route. However, this can be adopted to suit your preference.

- sandra-ccld0 contributionsFantastic safari and so well taken care ofWe really enjoyed our safari experience. Of course Serengeti, tarangire and Ngorongoro are amazing places and just being there, seeing the animals, admiring the landscapes is pure magic. But Rafael and our guides made it extra special because of their dedication and kindness as well as their knowledge of the place, fauna and flora. We had several issues with our jeep (no way around it, the roads are as they are) and Rafael and our guides always found prompt solutions to make sure we kept enjoying our time and all these parks could offer us. Forever thankful ❤️Written 27 August 2024

- samadtrekker0 contributionsPersonalized and ProfessionalThis was my first experience with Three Peaks Safari. The management gave their best in terms of pricing, services, support team to make this experience for me and my clients a life time journey. We had some of the best 6 days of our life with their professional guide, chef and entire crew on mountain, who literally saved our lives on the summit and ensured that we return with a successful summit while being safe. The food was delicious. Loved our guide and his cheerful personality. Management was responsive, responsible and caring. They made us feel at home beyond a commercial relationship. Special thanks to Rafael, Gerald and Gabriel. Definitely, I would love to bring more clients of Adventures dot Global to do Kilimanajaro with you guys!Written 26 June 2024

- Anand02080 contributionsExperience of a lifetimeWhat a fantastic family holiday.!!! We booked Three Peak Tanzania Safari after getting positive feedback from Our friends in Dar E Salaam. Mr Rafelle and his team of senior guides Mr Dotto and Mr Zafiri was perfect combination. They received us at Arusha airport in 2 very clean safaris and were with us for next 5 days. We were a group of 10 with kids of all ages and we felt very safe and comfortable with their presence, friendly nature and very good behaviour. It seems Mr Rafelle had planned all minutest things and there was nothing for us to complain. The hotels where we stayed was the best and foods were specially prepared to match our Indian taste. The buffets served in the jungle and the bush meals included indian delicacies like pulao samosa dal makhni papad mixed veg naan along with chicken masala and many other variety including continental spreads. Mr Rafelle specially ensured that we see all Big 5 animals that Serengeti National Park is famous for. The senior guides Mr Dotto and Mr Zafiri new the jungle terrain very well. They went extra mile so that we do not miss anything no matter it took few extra hours of driving. Will surely recommend everyone to use their services and for future please reach out today them to book safaris at very reasonable price whenever you come to Tanzania. Thank you Mr Rafelle and all staff of Three Peak Tanzania Safaris for making this memorable trip for me and my family from India.Written 4 June 2024
- giovannasQ3903OG0 contributionsExellent ExperienceIt was a beautiful safari. Our itinerary included: day 1 Tarangire, days 2 and 3 Serengeti, day 4 Ngorongoro Crater. We stayed in tents every night and shared a vehicle with four other people (a great choice; it would have been a bit boring alone). Pros: The chef and guide were very accommodating and attentive to individual needs (including attention to food allergies). Areas for improvement: The vehicle was not ideal for those taller than 1.80 m (all the vehicles seen, however, were of the same model). The equipment provided for the night in Ngorongoro was not perfect (slightly cold). Knowing this, we could have prepared better ourselvesWritten 31 December 2023
- MartiColu0 contributionsA DREAM COME TRUE!we relied on Justine for the safaris in Tanzania and for the magnificent trekking on Kilimanjaro (Machame Route). it was a dream come true! everything organized to perfection. I absolutely recommend you to rely on him!Written 30 October 2023
- Go066390307460 contributionsThank you Three Peakswe spent 6 unforgettable days, full of surprises. Rafael and dotto were fantastic. They did everything they could to fulfill our every wish and they always succeeded. They conveyed to us their passion for their country and explained to us many peculiarities relating to the animals we met.Written 28 October 2023
- sharlenea3910 contributionsUnforgettable trip! This tour was unforgettable! We loved every second of it, we had some issues with payment that my aunt had to support and things got quite aggressive (we were left in the car alone with the driver for over 3 hours with no water offered to us) but once things were paid it was amazing. Our tour guide was amazing, he really let us take everything at our own pace. He made us feel at ease and we were on our own schedule. The food was some of the best food I’ve had in a tour, whilst I could see other tour groups eating soggy sandwiches we were eating a feast of curries, rice, fresh fruit and water, just what was needed after a day of exploring! During the tour we saw all the big 5 except Rhino - rhino was due to bad weather which was no one’s fault. Justine and the driver went above and beyond to make sure we had amazing views of all animals which was hugely appreciated and made the whole experience so memorable. Justine knew some facts about the animals too which was a nice touch and really friendly, knew answers to any questions we asked. Even about information about tribes and Masai. Accommodation was incredible too. The first night the lodge even had a pool and the second accommodation was right in the heart of the Serengeti and you could even hear all the animals from our tent! Tents were spacious, clean and hot water was provided. Even if you’re tired please try and get a drink around the camp fire for another memorable moment. Overall I would really recommend this tour company :)Written 6 August 2023
- 132elmehdib0 contributionsAn Extraordinary 5-Day Safari: Unraveling Africa's Grandeur with Three PeaksI just had the chance to be part of an extraordinary 5-day safari coordinated by Three Peaks. It was an adventure of a lifetime, and the meticulous efforts of Rafael, our guide, played a major role in it. His dedication ensured that not only did we see the famous Big Five, but also were fortunate to witness the mesmerizing Great Migration. The in-depth knowledge of Rafael and his colleague, Revocatus, brought the African wilderness to life in ways I could never have imagined. Choosing Three Peaks was like finding a needle in a haystack of safari operators. But, their commitment to a personalized experience and outstanding customer satisfaction distinguished them from the rest. To sum it up, the safari with Three Peaks was a dazzling encounter with Africa's grandeur. If you’re considering a safari, I cannot recommend Three Peaks highly enough. They're true professionals who promise and deliver a magical experience.Written 26 July 2023

My GF and I come from Quebec, Canada, and we wanted to do both the Kilimanjaro and a Safari. It was a long process to find the good company to book with and we’re more than happy to have picked Rafael and Three Peaks Tanzania Safari. We knew he had been a guide/trip manager for 10+ years for various companies and that he was starting a new business of his own. We had heard good comments about him from friends but it was still a hard choice to trust a totally new company. We don’t regret our choice.
First and foremost, Rafael was very reliable. Everything he promised was done with no overcharge. This is a big thing for us because we had read a lot of things about people paying for their trip and then having to pay more when they got in Tanzania. Every thing went just as we wanted.
Plus, the service was exceptionally good. For instance, KLM lost our luggage in Amsterdam. Fortunately, we carried most of the stuff we needed for the hike with us in the cabins, but still we lacked some essential stuff like winter boot for the summit day on Kilimanjaro. Rafael’s staff picked up our luggage at the airport when it arrived, hired a porter to meet us on day 4 of the trek with the gear we needed for the coldest days in altitude. This is just one example. In another instance, most companies wouldn’t offer French guides on the mountain or they would offer it at a very expensive price. Rafael found us a very good French speaking guide named Frank.
I honestly think that we succeeded going to the summit thanks to the good guiding of Frank and Rafael. They were going at the perfect pace to reach the summit without getting exhausted. This is a skill that, as we have seen, many guides in other companies lacked. Plus, we always felt in security. Our guides were very professional, carrying oxygen tanks and taking our oxygen saturation to make sure we were ok.
Second, it was a very good trip for the price we paid. There’s a lot of variation between quotes of different companies for safaris and the Kilimanjaro. Rafael only sent us to 5 stars hotel when we’re in the city, and he only sent us to the best camps in the safari. We had private tents, hot shower etc. We had a private tour on Kilimanjaro. Everything was as good as it could be and for much less than what other companies charge for shared tents and lower quality hotels.
Another important thing for us is that many companies take advantage of their porters. They pay them less than the minimum salary required by Tanzania. They lower the price to get more clients and still keep their profits. Some porters don’t get more than 5$ per day to carry 30Kgs. We know that Rafael takes care of his porters and employees. He pays them well and value their work. This was important to us.
We had a really nice trip and if you’re looking for a safari or Kilimanjaro, we can only recommend Three Peaks Tanzania Safari!
