About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- J3911LLdavidm0 contributionsExceptional Magoroto ForestOur trip to Magoroto Forest in Tanzania was a captivating experience for students and teachers. Surrounded by verdant greenery, the forest enchanted us with its towering trees and vibrant birdlife. Guided by experts (George, Jerry, and their crew), we explored the trails, marveling at the diverse plant species and gaining insights into conservation efforts. We also had other activities organized such as boat riding, rafting fishing, and swimming in the beautiful freshwater lake. As the day ended, we always gathered around a bonfire and enjoyed fun bonding games and Karaoke. The journey to Magoroto Forest was a transformative experience, emphasizing the significance of embracing nature, expanding our perspectives, and forming meaningful connections with our environment and the community there. Thanks to Hope Expeditions safari for organizing this trip.Written 6 March 2024
- Caejol0 contributionsAmazing getaway trip with friendsWoow! Just exactly what we were looking for in a short holiday we managed to get. Kudos 👍 to the Hope expedition team, you real made it up to all of the group and for a moment we wanted the trip to last even longer 😂😂. The Serengeti trip was beyond satisfaction and you should count on us again next year for the Mikumi trip maybe or else where 😊. Thank you all 🙏🏾Written 7 May 2023
- monicakY7786AF0 contributionsChoose a better budget safari if I were youOverall, the safari was an okay experience, but not worth the money at all. I was completely ripped off and was overcharged. After talking to the Founder, Tumaini nothing was done to accommodate. I do not recommend the company as they just want your money at the end of the day, and do not care about your experience. I SUGGEST you book a budget safari with a hostel in Arusha to ensure you don't get ripped off. This experience was completely overpriced for mediocre food, average tour guide who wasn't very informed and camping. Not worth the money.Written 30 April 2023

- jeancF2960YS0 contributionsExploring Dar es Salaam with friendsI went on a wonderful, educational, and enriching day tour to Dar es Salaam. The tour guide and company were very professional, knowledgeable of local culture and very attentive to making sure I had a memorable experience. We visited many different parts of this beautiful and diverse city. I had lunch at fantastic restaurant and had my first experience with Tanzanian food. I love it. I felt safe with them and felt comfortable the entire day. I laughed the entire day because they guide was very sociable, funny and amusing. I would highly recommend this tour company to everyone one I know.Written 6 December 2022
- Stay306743495950 contributionsBest safarie in AfrikaBest safari in Africa. Hi, my name is Fleming Kloster I’m from Denmark. If you want to go on Safari in Africa, where should you go? That can be a kind of a hard question to ask, but after a lot of research on the Internet, I've found that Tanzania might be a very good place to go, and after I have been on safari in Tanzania I can confirm it is a very nice place to go on safari. After I had decided we should go on safari in Tanzania, my first step was to get an offer from a Danish traveling company. I told them I wanted to go on safari in Tanzania for 4 days and then to a nice beach at Zanzibar for 6 days. I got an offer for 6.700 EURO for my wife and I, for one of their standard trips. But it was really not the trip of my dream, so I though this is expensive if this is not my dream trip. Then I started to google again, and found out is was very easy to arrange a nice trip to Zanzibar by my self, also not expensive. The problem was to arrange a very good safari for 4 days in Tanzania. After a lot of research and trying to contact different companies, I finally found the company Hope that was really great. I got in direct contact with Mrs Hope, who owns the company, she was very friendly and very helpful. She helped me arrange the safari of my dream just after my wishes, it was not just a standard trip. And on the morning when we should start the safari from Dar Es Salam, she came in her own person to say hello and want to wish us a good trip, and she even followed up on us during the safari trip to make sure we were OK. I really want to recommend Hope Safari a lot. They are very good.Written 20 May 2022

- SDP34230 contributionsSafari encompassing 'must see' areas of TanzaniaHope arranged for a driver and vehicle for my self-directed safari in Tanzania mid February of 2021. Ten days took me from Dar es Salaam to the Usambara Mountains, to Moshi, to Arusha, to Karatu near Ngorongoro and the Serengeti, to Machame at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, to Pangani on the Swahili Coast, and then back to Dar. Hope was in frequent contact to check on tourist and driver and to make sure she was available should the need arise. It has been my experience that dealing with Hope is easy and convenient. She knows the tourism industry well, I think, is highly customer focused and is eager to provide an excellent experience. I would be pleased to do business with Hope again. She has strong knowledge of suitable properties in the popular areas of the country. While I did not have services of a 'guide / driver' and instead travelled with a 'vehicle with Tanzanian driver' I found the option I chose gave me flexibility to plan and direct my own routing and scheduling, and that the cost was reasonable. The driver Hope arranged for the safari was, I think, the safest professional driver I have ever been a passenger of. From a driver competence point of view it was a comfortable experience to be his passenger.Written 28 February 2021
