Itinerary
- 1Start at 8h30 am and pick up in a van or a 4x4 air conditioned car, heading North West for 30km far from Marrakesh. Our first stop will be at one of the panoramique views that regroups mountains, hills, river, green lands (agriculture) and many colors. Then we'll drive among the river of Sitti Fatma, where you will be able to see many local (Berber) villages and some special restaurants. We can stop at any place chosen by our costumers of course as we can keep to the plan . And do our special stop by the Women cooperative for Agran , very special tree with special nuts used mainly for cosmetics. "You can pictures of anything you want" After the visit of the cooperative and finishing the meal we will be ready to get back to Marrakesh as we enjoy the different sceneries as we drive down the hill.
About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 391gmm0 contributionsOutstanding value and great serviceOur trip was tailor made after our previously booked trip had to be cancelled as it was oversubscribed. We had a private trip with Abdelouahed as our guide in a 4 x 4. We first stopped at a pottery where we were inducted into the process of making clay, observed a potter at work, saw the kiln and learned about the firing process used to fashion the pottery and had the opportunity to browse and purchase merchandise made locally. Our second stop was at the Afous Argan oil women’s cooperative in Ourika, where we were given a briefing on the making and use of Argon oil. The co-operative was set up to provide a stable income for Moroccan women who live unsupported by a man. They manufacture and sell a wide variety of edible products such as honey and an Argon nut paste, and non-edible products such as face creams and medicinal creams. There we also enjoyed a breakfast of Moroccan bread, honey, nut paste (Amlou) and Beber tea. Our third stop was to a traditional Moroccan rug making co-operative set up by the owner to, once again provide employment and an income for local women who have a loom in their homes and can spend 6-8 months weaving a medium rug and 12 months or more on a large one. Here we met the owner’s two sons who told us about the rug making process and traditions. We also enjoyed a glass of tea and their convivial company. Our final stop was higher up the mountains to a Berber home where the mother had prepared a lovely vegetable soup, followed by a traditional chicken Tagine and Couscous dish, served with bread and spices, salad, water, tea and a desert of fruit and a traditional biscuit snack with caraway seed. We were served by the mother’s charming son and our meal was taken at a leisurely pace, sitting in the sun with the most captivating mountain views. The trip between these locations took us through the most stunning scenery of mountains, valleys, terraced farms and Berber villages, following a winding road, around each bend of which provided us with an ever-changing vista of beautiful Moroccan countryside. For the duration of this 7–8-hour trip we were accompanied by Abdelouahed, who despite only being in his early thirties, shared with us his amazing knowledge and insight into Moroccan ways and culture. He was charming, friendly, patient, and flexible. We never felt rushed, under pressure and he looked after our every need, comfort and safety throughout the trip. His driving was first class and gave us such confidence, even on some of the most challenging mountain roads. A trip of excellent value, a guide and an experience to treasure!Written 7 March 2024
- Journey041055914950 contributionsExcellent getaway from Marrakech! After staying a couple of days in Marrakech, we really enjoyed this drive to Essaouira. Everything was perfectly planned and the ride went really smooth with our 3 yo toddler. A car seat was made available for her so she felt very safe and so excited about the scenery. Our driver knew well the road and could explain to us a lot on the region and what to expect in Essaouira with some recommendations. Essaouira is very chilled city with a medina very less busy than Marrakech so it was quite enjoyable to stroll around and enjoy the sun and the view from the old Forth. We definitely recommend this experience, it was the highlight of our stay in MoroccoWritten 22 March 2023
- AliahW0 contributionsAtlas Mountain adventureThis is the perfect trip to experience the Atlas Mountains and Berber culture. Ahmed was our tour guide and he was professional, highly knowledgeable and friendly. Our first stop was at Setti Fadma where we were welcomed with a traditional breakfast at the Argan oil womens cooperative. The breakfast had Moroccan bread, honey and Beber tea. We tasted an almond butter like spread called ‘Amlou’. It was amazing. We then continued higher up the mountains to a Berber home where the hospitality was excellent. They had prepared a traditional chicken Tagine and Couscous dish, all served with bread and perfect spices. Salad, water, tea and fruit were also served. We had plenty of time to take in the splendid views of the Atlas Mountains, and got to speak to the locals about their fascinating lifestyle. We were back to our hotel before 6pm. Overall the experience was simply breathtaking and we highly recommend this tour whilst visiting Morrocco. :)Written 15 August 2022

- Shelley-bel0 contributionsGreat serviceBooked the tour on British airways. Was a bit concerned on the day of pick up because when hadn’t heard any further confirmations. But when we went outside our hotel the guy was already there 5minutes before time (always a good impression when they are on time) the guys name was Ahmed from Alfa Transport. Turned up in a newish Volkswagen executive car. Nice guy who spoke many languages. He took is to see all the important stuff and gave us a good commentary on the history of Marrakesh. We were after real Argon oil and he took us to the best shop in Marrakesh Afous Argan products cosmetiques then a government shop which did very very good designer copies of clothing and bags. Then he took us for a quick drive around and more info on Marrakesh. The tombs, YSL Museum, Bahia palace, gardens and the medina. Overall a good experience we felt very safe and would recommend this guy or company to anyone. They also do lots of other tours. We decided to use them for our return airport transfer too.Written 9 November 2019

He was full of nice stories and humour too. He made our experience in Morocco an unforgettable trip. Ahmed allowed our agenda to incorporate activities and things to do from a touristy point of view, and also from a locals point of view. Will definitely be using this company for sure in the near future. Thank you Alfa Transport Luxe! ❤️Written 25 September 2019
- Ederrico0 contributionsProfessional City TourWe had the pleasure of taking a tour with Ahmed in Marrakech. Ahmed allowed us to create our own agenda, as we were looking to hit a few specific spots on our last day there. He picked us up in a very nice car and was absolutely delightful! Very knowledgeable and was willing to help however he could. He showed us all the stores the locals shop at so we could get great prices. He even took us to a local spot to eat that was, quite possibly, one of the best meals I've had. I highly recommended booking a tour with Ahmed if you are in Marrakech.Written 8 September 2019
