Ouzoud Falls Day Trip from Marrakech
USD 28.83
Overview

This full-day trip to the Ouzoud Falls, North Africa’s highest waterfalls, makes what could be a long journey via public transport feel short, with air-conditioned minivan transport. You won’t waste any time getting to the falls as your guide will show you the best routes, allowing time for an optional swim and boat ride (own expense) up to the cascades. Plus, hotel pickup and drop-off in Marrakech is included.

What to Expect

After pickup from your Marrakech hotel, travel east in a minivan through rural Morocco to the Ouzoud Falls.

On arrival, walk through olive groves owned by generations of Berber farmers and descend to the gorge below the waterfalls. At the base, stroll by the river and marvel at the three-tiered falls, which cascade into a pool. Take photos and, if you wish, enjoy a swim in the cool waters and an optional boat ride (own expense) close to the cascades to feel the spray.

Afterward, step ashore and visit one of the cafes or restaurants overlooking the river for lunch (own expense). Finally, climb the steps back to the top. Pause on route to see the falls from various angles, watch for the rainbows in the mist, and meet and feed the monkeys that gather here.

Your trip then finishes with a drop-off back at your hotel.

Really great! Very good spots for photographs and a very charming, funny and interesting host. Learned about the family set up and income of Berber culture. Do be watchful of your things - not from the hosts just some of the children who are visiting...More

Stunning

Absolutely stunning and such a well run excursion. The tour guide makes the entire trip so enjoyable. Do be weary that your fitness will be tested as you climb from one side of the waterfall to the other theoretically but it is worth every minute...More

Breathtaking

A long drive/day visit but one of the highlights in my 3 weeks in Morocco. Please ensure you wear good, sturdy walking shoes as can be slippery and hard walking as lots of steps and steep natural paths so some fitness required. 25 dirham charged...More

Beautiful visit, not for people with limited mobility

Amazing visit, even the bus ride is beautiful with all the morrocan scenery. On the site, lots of hiking in the mountain, so if climbing stairs is somewhat a challenge for you, this is not a good choice of a tour! Otherwise it's absolutely amazing....More

It's a bit of a drive, but totally worth it! Used the Get Your Guide app to book and it was a really reasonable price. The driver was friendly, and then when we arrived we were introduced to our guide who was funny and very...More

Hello! I booked it two days before on Viator. Was really easy to do. I messaged them after the booking with the name of the Riad we were staying in and they sent me an email straight away to tell me that they would pick us... More
