- 494rosies0 contributionsMoroccan Tangine cooking experienceWe had a very authentic Moroccan cooking experience starting with buying our vegetables and chicken fresh from the market and then personally instructed by our lovely chef Sana on how to make bread, prepare the hot salads and the lemon chicken tangine. We were then able to enjoy the delicious lunch we had prepared and were even surprised by a divine Moroccan dessert to finish off our mealWritten 17 January 2025

- P9074LFalines0 contributionsGreat food tour in MarrakeshThis was my first tour in Marrakesh and it was a great way to learn about the local food culture as well as to learn on how to navigate in Marrakesh. We visited 4 spots by foot in different locations, having the opportunity to learn about the food preparation and history and try traditional street foods and to visit q traditional restaurant to try the delicious tanjia and Harrita soup at the market. The guide was super friendly and knowledgeable and I definitely recommend the tour!Written 2 January 2025

- lilly5040 contributionsWe are so glad we booked this experienceWe are so glad we booked this experience. Our chef Snaa patiently guided us through the whole process, from buying fresh ingredients at the souk, to the mouth-watering chicken tagine we enjoyed at lunchtime. Snaa also gave us a selection of spices as a parting gift, so we could (hopefully) recreate the these wonderful flavours at home. Highly recommended!Written 26 December 2024
- Phoebe I0 contributionsBest cooking class!Such a fun experience! Chef Sena was very knowledgeable and patient. The food at the end was beyond delicious. You get to learn how to make everything! From the bread to the main dish and two side salads. Definitely recommend this cooking class to anyone who wants to learn how to cook authentic Moroccan chicken tagine.Written 14 December 2024
- 937andier0 contributionsAwesome Experience! Our guide Brahim met us and we were lucky enough to be the only 2 on the tour so had a private guide! He was very chatty with good English and explained some of the history of Marrakesh as well as the traditions and origins of the foods we tried and sharing some recipes. There was loads to eat and we were glad we arrived hungry, we also enjoyed some traditional mint tea. We both really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend this, by going on the second day of our trip we got some top tips on what to try during the rest of our trip, we also got advice on how to haggle in the souks and the best / safest ways to navigate the footpaths and roads.Written 28 November 2024

- norahQ5796LW0 contributionsGreat experience but perhaps a bit too shortI was honoured to have a one to one / private cookery course with Amina and her sister Khadija (just because no one else turned up). Going to the market with Amina was a brilliant experience - seeing beautiful fresh produce skilled vendors going about their business. Amina and Khadija showed me show to prepare chicken tagine and zaalouk in their beautiful house. It was great also to have a chat about family and life in Marrakech. I was a bit surprised that it took only two hours instead of the advertised four but that could have been because there was only one of me.Written 22 November 2024
- Global6069580 contributionsGreatGreat experience! Visit to the market to get fresh ingredients and then cooking our own tajine. The food was delicious !!!Written 21 November 2024

- O313JYnatashat0 contributionsAmazing immersive cooking experienceThis cooking class is a must do! My experience has been even greater than I expected. I started the day being greeted by my lovely Chef Cena, where we went to the Souk. I got to experience buying fresh groceries before arriving at the lovely Riad to cook. It was such an immersive experience. Of course eating the food was highlight, it was so delicious to taste authentic Tagine. I highly recommend this cooking experience!Written 12 November 2024

I had a tour with Mo. He is the best tour guide you can image. We walked to historical places and he very well explained the history behind every single monument. We visited the museum of photography, the palace of Bahia, Saadian tombs. Then we visited the famous bakery where locals bake their bread and the hammam over (Farran) where locals leave their tangia to be made. The highlight of the tour was visiting the places where they cook Méchoui (upon my request)! He is super nice and I highly recommend him to all my friends who want to visit and have a nice time in Marrakech.

Mo was a great guide - on time, polite, informative, cheerful and helpful. He speaks umpteen languages & his English was perfect. I wasnt expecting entrance fees to the places we visited to be included in the tour price which was a nice surprise. No "shopping" stops just interesting info incl a nice coffee stop. Would def recommend him.

Youssef provided an excellent commentary & explanation of all the places we visited as well as impromptu info along the way. He was a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of Moroccan culture, history & lifestyle plus gave us good pointers for after the tour was over. I’d definitely recommend this as a great intro the the amazing city of Marrakech. I’ve done Urban Adventure tours in Santiago & Havana and they’ve always been very worthwhile.

Our wonderful guide Mounir, was inedible insightful and fun to be around. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Marrakesh where he was born and bred. My daughter and I were eager listeners and came with many questions all which Mounir had answers too. We enjoyed our time with Mounir very much. He extended the tour by two hours out of kindness and because we were so keen to learn and see more. The Bahia palace was a special treat not least because Mounir managed to navigate the crowds so it appeared we had most of the palace to ourselves most of the time. A trip to the Hammam engine, below ground, was another highlight. Playing music with a local musician also a fantastic experience. Highly recommend this tour. Ask for Mounir

I didn't end up going on this tour, as I got very sick the night before and had to cancel. I sent two emails and one phone call, all unanswered, telling them about this issue and asking if I could reschedule. While I sent the first email prior to the tour starting, I'm sure that the guide didn't receive it in time. The sickness wasn't their fault, but I did expect to receive some kind of response from them about rescheduling. When this didn't happen, I had to make alternative plans and sent a third email asking if there was any possibility of getting any refund. Again, no answer. An extremely frustrating experience!!!

What a clear introduction to Marrakesh! Our guide Saleem first introduced us to the city and it's cultural history before heading to the palaces, tombs, Madrassa, photography museum , Jewish quarter, souks and many other places of interest. At the end of our tour we did stop off briefly at a business establishment which I did not experience as a "hard sell" but rather an opportunity to see industrious and enterprising people .For me ,this was a privilege and insight into a growing economy, There was more in terms of history, but I ended the day with a sense of history and the culture I was in. Having been a teacher for 30+ years, I would say we got "the real thing"

We were fortunate to have a walking tour given by and excellent guide (Youssef Laamimi) on a day that no one else had booked. We were delighted to visit places we wouldn't have found without a guide. Youssef is obviously very knowledgeable and provided a very warm welcome to Marrakech. He gave us a brief history of the city (ancient and modern) as well as an insight to current everyday life. I would definitely recommend this tour for the first day of a visit to Marrakech. THANK YOU

Our tour guide Youssef was excellent! He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and an excellent communicator. He was also very helpful in answering questions about Morocco (not only about the tour). We felt we knew a lot about the medina and the culture after the tour. We have recommended Youssef’s your to our Morocco group tour and more than 10 people took the same tour and enjoyed very much.

This tour was a good half day. It returns you to the main square. From there you have time at your leisure to explore further.
