          Tour of Fes medin.
We took a 'Get your guide' one day tour of the fes medina. Our guide (Kamal) was very knowledgeable and passionate about Fes. He was also good company and liked a joke and a wind-up. Excellent value for money.

Excellent new agent with good tours
We stumbled upon this agent while walking around Fez’ Medina looking for a taxi to visit just Volubilis, the roman ruins. We where impressed by Fatima’s kindness, languages’ knowledge, communication skills and professionalism. She arranged a custom trip to Volubilis for us with an also very professional driver. I recommend her and this agent also based on the trips and tours they suggest. They are created around travellers real needs and concerns. For example, their Medina tour is shopping free, thus avoiding all the unnecessary hustle and -sorry to say- sometimes scams of some shops.

Excellent tour guide and would highly recommend Ismail! :)
Ismail was a great driver/tour guide and would highly recommend. He took us to loads of interesting places like the monkeys, camels, fish, caves and many other. He is so kind and generous and as a teenager and intersted in the subject history, he helped me a lot by telling me so facts about the history of Fez. He also took us to views which were gorgeous. He took us out for lunch, it was so pleasant and nice. Thank you Ismail for be such a good tour guide! :)

Our guide/Ismail was amazing and because of him our day was also amazing too. He made us feel we are important and he was great with our daughter too. We had an excellent experience in the Middle Atlas. He was extremelly friendly and kind to us and our daughter. Ismail told us about Morocco and its history and we were able to ask so many questions without feeling weird. Thank you so much for your time, Ismail and for your company and knowledge about Morocco and Islamic/Berber civilisations.

Must do Cooking Class in Fez
Had a really lovely time! Fatima and Chef explained it really well throughout the process and we really enjoyed eating what we cooked afterwards. We cooked a tagine, zalout, shakshouka and a carrot salad. On top of it Fatima answered many questions we had about Fez and Morroco.

          Wonderful experience!
We had a great time! Badr, our guide, was extremely kind and friendly. He gave us a tour of the market in the Medina and the beautiful Riad Taha where we had delicious Maroccan tea. Fatiha and Badr showed us how to prepare tajine, shakshuka and baba ganoush which was delicious! Badr told us about life in Marocco and we were able to ask many questions. Thank you so much for your time, expertise and company, Badr and Fatiha!

Do it! You won’t regret it
Loved this experience! Badr, our most friendly and knowledgeable guide, took us through the Medina to grab ingredients, which was such a fun way to start our cooking class— a great way to experience the marketplace. Badr was also very gracious in sharing with us the rich Moroccan history and culture. Afterwards, Fatiha taught us how to make tagine and baba ganoush. What an expert! It was so much fun to see the whole process of making these amazing traditional dishes. An unforgettable experience, thank you Badr and Fatiha!!

          Unforgettable Experience with Great People
This was definitely an unforgettable experience and the highlight of our stay in Fez. Badr was an amazing host and he made us feel welcomed and comfortable the entire time. We had so much fun shopping for ingredients in the medina and Badr was very helpful in explaining to us many different things. At the riad he even offered us Moroccan tea and showed us around the riad and the rooftop terrace which had a spectacular view. The cooking experience was very intimate (it was just us, our host Badr and chef Fatiha) - it felt like we were all cooking together and Fatiha (chef) taught us so much about Moroccan cooking. The food turned out to be the best I had in Fez and there was a LOT of food. Thank you Badr and Fatiha for the wonderful time!

Would highly recommend this cooking class
Badr was an amazing guide and host during the day. He showed us the authentic local way of collecting food for the tagine on the market. Together with the most kind chef he showed us how to make the best tagine and many side dishes we ate during our stay in Marroc. The riad was really beautiful. I would highly recommend this experience.

Great cooking class in the Medina
The cooking class was perfect for our group of four! Badr was a great host. He took us through the market and helped us pick out fresh produce, meat, and spices. Then we went back to their Riad and they walked us through cooking tagine and a variety of salads before being served a display of fresh fruits for dessert. You could help as little or as much as you wanted.

Great way to experience Fes. Tour began with a walk through the Medina to purchase ingredients to use for lunch. Seeing a live chicken prepared was certainly unique. Definitely come hungry because a lot of food will be prepared!

This was a wonderful and thoughtful tour. Mohammad took the time to explain the history of Fez, gave us great insight as to the daily lives of people in Morocco, and he was professional and kind. This was a cultural tour and we got to see all the beautiful sites of Fez. We saw a panoramic view of Fez, walked around the medina, saw the oldest University in the world, and got to learn that Fez founded the first mental health hospital in the world. We love to learn and this tour did not disappoint. It exceeded our expectations.

Most importantly, Mohammad was true to his word, this was NOT A SHOPPING TOUR. We appreciated this so much because my only criticism about Fez was the constant pushiness of unqualified tour guides. Mohammad was professional and focused on the history and culture and never once took us to a shop to purchase anything. He had the right pace when we walked around the city, which allowed me to take a crazy amount of photos and to take our time browsing the buildings and stores. He answered all of our questions and was patient with us when we wanted more time to explore a site. I highly recommend Mohammad. We felt safe, learned a lot, and most importantly, we felt like we made a new friend.

After reading how intimidating the medina of Fez is, I was excited to book a tour to have some of the nooks and crannies of this 'crazy' place explained.

        This tour wasn't that.

Mohammed just walks you down the main tourist drag of the medina from one major sight to the next and narrates a couple dates and events. He didn't offer any insight into the items the stalls were selling, daily life in the medina, and only ventured off the main drag when I asked. He also seemed to be pushing his other tours as well, suggesting we needed to take a day trip to Chefchaouen and Merzouga when we already had other plans.

The medina is well-lit, safe, clean and SO not scary as guidebooks would have you believe. Save yourself 80 Euro(!!) (for two people) and hit the street yourself.

Highly, highly recommend this tour! Our guide Mohammed was kind, calm, and very knowledgeable. He customized the tour to our interests and dealt patiently with all of our questions (and there were a lot!). We never felt rushed and we also felt comfortable and looked after. He helped negotiate deals for our souvenirs and took us to the best places for what we were interested in purchasing.

Besides the amazing “stops”, (tannery, market, ceramic factory, wood work and weaving shop, etc) I think what I will remember the most is his willingness to share his culture, family stories and humor. His English is superb, and if you like- you can practice your Italian and French as he is fluent in those languages as well!

He was also helpful in planning the rest of our trip - took us to train station and assisted us in locating a hotel for Chefchaouen. This allowed us to relax and thoroughly enjoy the day with him.

Hands down the best tour! You won’t regret this booking.

We had an amazing experience exploring the Fez Médina and some of the new city with our guide, Mohammed. He was so knowledgeable, patient and a pleasure to be around. The Médina is a maze and there are many people that will try to offer you tours. However, you can not trust everyone that approaches you. Mohammed ensured that we were given fair prices, purchased authentic, quality products without feeling pressured and did not have to worry about getting lost in the maze of the Médina. I highly recommend hiring Mohammed to get the ultimate experience in Fes.

We booked this tour with Mohammed via email before arriving in ages. He was absolutely lovely! He was incredibly knowledge about all the attractions in fes. In addition, he took the time to customize our fes tour, and split it up across two days (as we requested). He gave great directions to foreign tourists who clearly were lost, out of the kindness of his own heart. Ask for Mohammed next time you’re in fes!
