    Amazing Trip to Morocco!
We had a wonderful 11-day trip to Morocco with Morocco Imperial Tours! This was our first time in Morocco as well as our first private tour. Youssef helped us to put together a tour that suited our needs, provided us with the flexibility to plan some things on our own and stayed within our budget. Any trepidation we had was gone when our amazing driver, Abdul, picked us up at the airport. Abdul immediately made us feel totally cared for and comfortable and was always available to meet our needs. The guides that Youssef provided in each of the places we visited spoke excellent English and were extremely knowledgeable. We will always have fond memories of our time in Morocco because of the treatment we received from everyone at Morocco Imperial Tours. We highly recommend them.

Want to visit Morocco? Run don't walk - to plan your trip with Morocco Imperial Tours!
Our Morocco Imperial Tours was a dream-come-true vacation. We loved Morocco and hope to return for a second tour to the parts of the country we missed. Their highly skilled tour operator Youssef was open about discussing our needs, he was honest and responded quickly to all our questions (via email and What's Ap). He helped plan our time so we could make the most of the ten days we had for travel. He provided us with the perfect itinerary and wonderful guides in each city we visited. A huge part of the success of our trip was thanks to our incredible driver Abdul. From the moment we arrived he made us feel welcome with his warm personality and expertise, ensuring that our trip was smooth and full of adventure. What stood out most was his kindness and professionalism. He drove safely, was always on time, and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Whether it was giving us information about the sites we passed on the road, answering all our questions, pointing out the absolute best places for meals, giving us guidance for the times we would be out on our own, and sharing good cheer, Abdul made our visit to Morocco unforgettable. I cannot recommend Morocco Imperial Tours more highly. They simply are the best. I encourage anyone looking to visit Morocco to use their services.

    8-Day Real Morocco Tour!
We booked a very last-minute 8-day tour with Imperial Tours, and from start to finish, it exceeded our expectations. Youssef, the tour operator, was incredibly responsive, answering all our questions promptly and ensuring everything was perfectly arranged. He put together an amazing itinerary, and we would highly recommend this experience to anyone. Our driver, Abdul, was exceptional—highly skilled, considerate, and dedicated to making sure we had the best possible experience. He even selected the best lunch spots along the way, which made our journey even more enjoyable. The local guides at each destination were fantastic. In Fes, Ahmed provided an incredible tour of the medina, bringing the city to life with his insights. In Marrakesh, Mhamed was not only knowledgeable about the city’s history but also a great conversationalist, making our time there even more memorable. One of the absolute highlights was the camel trek and overnight stay in the dunes of Merzouga. We HIGHLY recommend this experience—the camel ride was so much fun, the sunset was breathtaking, and the dunes felt like something out of another world. The accommodations were fantastic throughout the trip. If you’re staying in Marrakesh, we strongly recommend asking Youssef to book Riad Wow—it was stunning, incredibly close to the main market, and we felt comfortable exploring until late in the evening. Overall, we absolutely loved this trip. It was an incredible way to experience the beauty of Morocco, and the value for what we received was outstanding. Highlights: 1. Our driver, Abdul, made the trip unforgettable and chose the best lunch spots (ask for him if you can!). 2. The camel trek in Merzouga—a must-do for an unforgettable experience. 3. Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate, where many famous films were shot. 4. Visiting local co-ops, where we got to see the incredible craftsmanship and talents of the Moroccan people. If you’re considering a tour of Morocco, Imperial Tours is the way to go!

    Fabulous
Exceptionally professional, private tour company. Youssef is responsive and a great communicator. He designed a bespoke experience based on his 10 day tour. Our driver/guide, Abdul, was extraordinary. He was extremely professional and a skilled driver. While traveling to Marrakesh over the Titchka pass in the High Atlas Mountains a massive snow storm hit. It took over six hours to get through the pass. Abdul never lost his cool and we felt safe in his hands. He made us feel very well taken care of. When we were in the middle of our desert experience we texted him asking him if he could get us a bottle of wine for a special desert lunch. Somehow he managed to get it to us (not really sure how he did it). Best of all, after 10 days he became our friend. The company arranged specialty guides in each of our major stops. They were exceptional. Ahmed in Fes, the best of the group, was given my cherished Red Sox hat in addition to his tip. Here are some further highlights: - do the camel/desert experience. The company hired by Youssef was exceptional. You won’t soon forget riding a camel (easy for all), watching sunset over the dunes, glamping in the provided dgellapa, eating food that tasted fantastic in the desert, and enjoying wonderful music by the staff. -The guides make the medinas in Fes and Marrakesh so much fun. - check out Narwalla nightclub in Marrakesh. Fabulous. - in conclusion I can’t imagine touring the beautiful country of Morocco any other way.

Don't hesitate to tour Morocco with Morocco Imperial Tours!
Morocco is an AMAZING country. And Yousef, Omar (guide), and Mustapha (driver) were AMAZING, too! Yousef was extremely responsive in the planning and our WhatsApp thread with Omar/Mustapha made certain we were in always in touch. Hotels were spectacular. Food was delicious. Accommodations were made if we specifically wanted to do something or not. We LOVED our trip, Morocco Imperial tours and all the people involved and who we met on the tour.

    Moroccan Discovery Tour
We arranged an 8 day tour with Youssef from 8th of January - 16th of January. Working with Youssef was easy and helpful in being able to accomodate us for a relatively short visit. Our driver, Abdul was excellent. He was very considerate, helpful and an extremely safe driver. The guides provided at each location were also excellent. They were very knowledgeable and provided us with historical as well as cultural information. We feel that we were able to get an in depth and true sense of life in Morocco. It is a beautiful country with much to see and experience. We highly recommend this tour company if you want an intimate experience.

**Best Personalized Tour Company we have ever traveled with!
When I was planning a trip to Morocco for my husband and nephew to go on with, I was concerned about working with a company in Morocco to plan our tour. It seemed risky at first. Then, I discovered Morocco Imperial Tours via Instagram and Facebook. I contacted two women from the US who commented on their posts and they both reassured me of the legitimacy and professionalism of this company. After reaching out to Youssef he put my mind at ease by being responsive, kind and professional. We emailed back and forth first, then spoke on WhatsApp and continued being in constant communication throughout the whole planning process. We ended up custom planning a 12-day trip that exceeded our expectations. On behalf of my family, I give this tour company my very HIGHEST recommendation! As for our driver, Abdul… from the moment he picked us up at the airport to the very last day of our trip, he was AMAZING! Do yourself a favor and request him! Not only was he kind, warm and considerate, but he also made us feel VERY SAFE! His driving skills are nothing less than exceptional and believe me, I know being a professional driver myself! He always checked in with us at every destination we got dropped off at and was always available for questions. He was always on time or early and always had a positive, fun attitude. It did not take long to make it seem like we were with family in his presence. He is a very special individual; a warm-hearted family man and we formed a lifelong friendship with him. I would also like to acknowledge our guides in Chefchaouen, Fes and Marrakesh. All 3 were professional and very knowledgeable. All-in-all, do not hesitate to use this tour company! They truly care and offer the very best service at a price that was lower than other, big bus tour companies. You will not regret it! On a sidenote, a few observations about traveling to Morocco that might be helpful in your planning: • Stay in Riads at every city; they are one-of-a kind, the one in Chefchaouen called Riad Lina and Spa was definitely our favorite! Women run and manage this place and it truly shows! • Stay away from Casablanca if you can. Aside from the Mosque it is just a big, commercial city. • Spend a full day or two in towns like Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fes and Marrakesh. • Take an overnight trip to the desert and stay in a camp, but be prepared to sleep in a hat and a jacket in the luxury tent under multiple blankets as temperatures in the winter drop down into the 30’s and the heaters do not always work. However, the Sahara-desert and the camel rides are well worth it! • Try different restaurants and according to my nephew, try the camel tajin, which was his favorite meal in all of Morocco. However, be aware that you might have issues traveling across this beautiful country if you have a sensitive stomach. Always drink bottled water! • Try a bakery or two. Their pastries and cakes are amazing! • Most places do not sell alcohol. However, they almost all sell a mean virgin mojito I highly recommend and many different juices. • Taste the pomegranate, the kiwi, the bananas and all of their fresh fruits. You will love them! • Always tip! Take smaller bills and be prepared! On the same subject, do not take $100 bills printed before the year 2000 into the country because you will have a hard time exchanging it. • Morocco is very safe. They do punish crimes against tourist harshly as we are their main source of income. • Most people speak English, but if you speak French it is even easier to get around. • When you are shopping in the souk areas, always try to bargain. If the prices are noted, they might not want to make a deal, but it is always worth a try from experience.

Incredible custom private tour - highly recommend!
I cannot say enough good things about Morocco Imperial Tours and our experience booking through them. I had seen so many good reviews and can assure you they are not too good to be true. We were looking for a private 3-day tour that would take us from Marrakech, out to the Sahara desert, and end in Fes. Youssef was extremely responsive, knowledgable, and helpful. He immediately sent a detailed suggested itinerary including where we would stay which made me feel very comfortable booking. Youssef told us exactly what to expect. Prior to the day our tour was to depart, he sent us our tour guide/driver's name and phone number so we knew exactly who we were meeting. Our tour guide/driver, Saed, was fantastic. I was nervous about all of the driving as I get motion sickness and Saed was such a great driver, I never had any issues. The itinerary was packed with a ton of amazing highlights -- we went through the High and Middle Atlas mountains, stayed in the Sahara desert near Merzouga, rode camels, saw the Todra Gorge, saw barbarian apes, stopped into many small towns and saw beautiful views and landscapes. We both felt extremely safe and comfortable with Saed - he was super professional, nice, and knowledgable. We would absolutely recommend both Morocco Imperial Tours and Saed for any private or group tours in Morocco.

    Unforgettable!!
It was an overwhelming 12 day tour and looking back at it I cannot believe how much we saw! Thank you to driver Mustafa for keeping us safe with your impressive driving in all conditions, even snow! And thank you to our primary guide Omar who was knowledgable, intelligent and kind. We had wonderful site guides, too. We explored the Medina in Fez, marveled at the beautiful blue in Chefchaouen, saw stars in the desert, feats of engineering to move water in the desert, Roman ruins, the Atlas Mountains, and of course Marrakesh and Essaouira. The comfortable van had a hot spot. Accommodations were comfortable. We came away learning so much about the Berbers, Islam, Moroccan Jews, the landscape, food, architecture. It was a one of a kind trip and so memorable. Thank you, Youssef, for being flexible and responsive and organizing a fabulous tour within your unique and unforgettable country!

CAN'T TOP THIS Morocco IMPERIAL Tours TEAM!!!
We were two ladies traveling, love road trips, and can't write enough to express how very polite, sincere, open, kind, informative, and fun our Morocco Imperial Tours team were throughout our FABULOUS vacation!!! Youssef, Omar, and Mustafa provided constant gracious consideration on how we wanted to spend our time in Morocco, experience their country and culture. TOP NOTCH hospitality still exists, and this team took care of EVERY DETAIL!!! All accommodations were of high standard with caring staff, the architecture in the Raids/Kasbah SOOO pretty, spacious, and comfy. Food at Riads, Kasbah, local BBQ stops, were ALL YUMMY yet our favorite meals were those prepared by local Berber families, nothing better than home cooked meals! Our most loved stops: Chefchaouen, Fes medina, camel trek through the desert, Morabit Fosil shop near Erfoud, Imlil (glorious mountain hike), and Essaouira (lovely medina, harbor with rampart walls on Atlantic)!! Mustafa was an AWESOME driver, proper road etiquette, a smooth operator fueled by coffee and music! Omar is a history book, a wise soul, and so sweet, you FEEL the Berber culture from him! All assigned local city guides were very knowledgeable, also explained the history, culture, freely speaking about anything you asked, a true learning experience. We are GRATEFUL to ALL of you, feel we've made friends; DEFINITELY felt "Welcome to Morocco" :)!! SINCERE THANKS!!

Great hiking in the High Atlas Mts around Imlil!
We are an Australian couple, age mid seventies but still active, and recently we had a wonderful experience in the High Atlas Mts, Morocco. Organised by Moroccan Imperial Tours, as part of a 15 day tour, we stayed two nights in Riad Jnane in Imlil, which is beautifully set under spectaculr snow capped mt peaks. On the middle free day, we were collected by Lahcen, (photographed in the green cap, presenting a mint tea making ceremony), for a wonderful day hiking in the mts around Imlil, through walnut forests, along old trails, passing villages pressed on mountain slopes. Lahcen tailored the hike to our ability, providing us with hiking sticks, and sharing wonderful insights into the way of life still enjoyed by local people. One of the many highlights was a visit to his family home for mint tea refreshments, to be warmly welcomed by his family. What a memorable experience. We highly recommend it. Thank you Lahcen!

    Wonderful Moroccan Experience
My wife and I took a 14 day tour with Morocco Imperial Tours in November of 2024. From the first contact to the last hug goodbye, it was a wonderful experience. Youssef, the owner of the company, was our first contact and he was very responsive and helpful as we set up the itinerary. The itinerary was tremendous, as it touched a good variety of locations and experiences (by the way, definitely do the luxury desert camp. What a great experience!!) When the tour was over we really felt like we received a well-rounded Moroccan experience. The accommodations, the "riads" as they're called, were all top notch and very comfortable. Even when we stayed in small towns where "deluxe" riads weren't abundant, they found the very best and really wonderfully hospitable riads. We had great breakfasts everyday included, and several dinners, too. Speaking of hospitality, I think the thing that struck us both so much was the kind, welcoming, and hospitable nature of everyone we came in contact with. Morocco has an amazingly tolerant atmosphere and culture. Everyone we met was so happy we were there and wanted make sure we knew we were welcome. That goes especially for our driver and guide, Youssef. He is the cousin of the owner. If you decide to go to Morocco and, we hope you chose to go with Morocco Imperial Tours, you should request Youssef to be your driver/guide. From the moment we met him, we felt comfortable. And over the course of the next 14 days, we would become friends. We will continue to be friends going forward. That's the kind of warmth we felt from him. So, please, if you want to really experience Morocco and you want the best value for your vacation, we couldn't express more that you should definitely use Morocco Imperial Tours. You won't be disappointed. Thanks again Youssef & Youssef!!! T&S November 2024

    Best Tour Company in Morocco!!
When my husband and I were planning a trip to Morocco, we were a bit worried about working with a company in Morocco to plan our tour. It seemed overwhelming at first. Then, we discovered Morocco Imperial tours. Youssef was so responsive and kind and professional and planned an excellent 8 day trip for us. We visited Imlil in the High Atlas Mountains, Marrakech, and Fez. I give this tour company my very HIGHEST recommendation. They delivered on every promise and by far exceeded my expectations. From the moment our driver, Abdul, picked us up at the airport to the very last day of our trip, everything was so well coordinated. Abdul is the BEST driver. Ask for him! He is so kind and warm and checked in with us to make sure we were okay. Our hiking guide in Imlil, Lahcan, was beyond kind and introduced us to his sweet family. The hike was excellent! The Riad we stayed at, Riad Jnane Imlil, was the perfect setting with great views and such kind staff. The food was also excellent. We did the hot air balloon experience and the motorcycle/side car tour in Marrakech! These were the very best activities we could have chosen. Highly recommend them. So fun. Youssef from the hot air balloon and Nabil from the side car were both so kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I was apprehensive about the hot air balloon but it was some of the most peaceful, breathtaking experiences I’ve ever had. Use this tour company! They truly care and offer the very best service at a price that was lower than other tour companies. You won’t regret it!

We had a private tour in November for 11 days, and this was a fantastic experience! Hamid was our main guide, who picked us up from the airport and drove us around in a very safe, calm manner. He was very knowledgeable and gave explanations of sights and for Moroccan culture or any questions we had. For some places, there are local guides to go in-depth. The local guides selected were very high quality too, although this may end up being an issue of availability of the local guides. One of the great things about Morocco Expert Tours is the customization before and during the tour. Before the tour, I spoke to Youssef to determine a customized itinerary, and he was very good communicating things and making recommendations until I was satisfied. During the tour, Hamid would cater to all our needs, whether we needed to find a bank or stop for bathroom or photos. He'd even make recommendations on doing an extra hike or other things to see. Actually beyond that, he's a problem solver, helping you accomplish what you need. His English is superb, which is a godsend when you discover most of the locals don't speak it well. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend Morocco Expert Tours, and you for sure will be in good hands if you get Hamid!

As two women traveling in Morocco (12 days) we decided hiring a local Moroccan-born guide would be the most efficient and offer the greatest peace of mind. We were right and had a wonderful and very memorable time (memories which will last a lifetime). The broad overview: 1) trustworthy/professional; 2) organized; 3) highly knowledgeable of the history, culture, activities; 4) knew many local people in every town, and 5) allowed for flexibility on start times, end times, and what to see and do each day. We felt safe at ALL times and enjoyed every aspect of the tour. Also worth noting be prepared for a few longer drives, but absolutely worth it. The desert camp was the highlight of the entire trip. Additionally, if you are open to hotel types the team can help and book... if you want only high-end hotels (they go quick) and I would suggest booking some yourself far in advance.

We booked the 12 days culture tour of Morocco for late January. Operator Youssef was very helpful in making the arrangements. He quickly responded to any questions and made great efforts to accommodate our requests. The entire trip was pleasant and the arrangements are seamless. Our driver/guide, Hassan, is wonderful! He is most responsible, caring, and knowledgeable. From the airport pick up to the entire trip to returning to the airport, he took care everything without any issues. He made extra effort to ensure that we were safe and not getting loss in the Medina. We learned a great deal of Morocco with Hassan through the entire trip. He is also an excellent photographer, taking beautiful group pictures for us. The van ride was very comfortable.
The highlight was the camel ride and overnight in desert tents. The experience was so wonderful! The medina, the markets, and Jamaal square in Marrakech were among the best experiences.

Our family of four (including two daughters, 17 and 20) just returned from a 10+ day tour of Morocco organized and hosted by Morocco Expert Tours (MET). From the point of landing in Casablanca we were guided through this beautiful country by Youssef (the owner's nephew) with care and thoughtfulness.

When deciding to travel to Morocco, we began searching for a reputable company to tour with. Because not many of our friends or relatives had traveled there before, we began with a blank slate. After many hours researching and talking to travel agents, we found ourselves reading the wonderful reviews of MET on TripAdvisor. A little skeptical, I messaged a number of the American travelers that had written reviews about MET.... we heard nothing but positive feedback.

After settling on MET, Youssef in their main office was diligent about responding to my every question and concern. And true to form they handled every detail with professionalism and a personal touch. We began in Casablanca, drove through Rabat, Fes then south to the dessert. We stayed in Marrakesh and ended in Essouaria, departing from Casablanca.

I would highly recommend working with MET and will use them again when we return to Morocco. Youssef our guide/ driver was informational, knowledgeable and taught us so much about the Moroccan and Berber cultures. We miss him already!

Please contact me through the TripAdvisor IM if you have any questions about Morocco or our experiences.

Let me first say... STOP reading this and book your tour/activity/driver with Morocco Expert Tours! I already did all the research you will ever need and if I chose them, so will YOU! We can honestly not say enough about how incredible our experience was. We spent 3 weeks touring Morocco and almost 2 weeks we organized with Hassan and Youssef private tour for John and I. We knew we wanted to go to the desert for several days, then Fez, Meknes, and Chefchaouen (the last was Youssef's idea - and ended up our favorite). We knew getting a driver would be the quickest option - Thank goodness we did that! So, by the end of the trip ( which we were changing ALL THE TIME we had a solid tailor made plan on what we would do as a tour and what we just needed a driver for. We ended up with a lifetime experience and Friends that we will never forget!

We arrived in Marrakech and spent a few days there and then Hassan picked us up right in front of our hotel, on time, and with the biggest smile and welcome that made us feel instantly comfortable.
From there we began the drive to the desert. It is a long journey but Hassan was prepared for this and kept us engaged through this incredible landscape. When inevitably we would be lulled to sleep from riding in the back seat, he would wake us up to one incredible view after another! AMAZING!

We had a bucket list prepared of all of the foods that we wanted to try that we told him about probably in the first hour of our time together and throughout our time together he would stop and out of nowhere pop up with this delicious food. I have no idea how he remembered everything - it was a long delicious list!

While riding a camel in Merzouga, I was bucked off (being from Texas I really tried to hold on) Hassan went above and beyond ensuring I would make it through the rest of our trip. He even spent the night at the tent camp (which wasn't planned) incase we needed anything. Thank you Hassan!! (Also, it was not camels fault. My sweatshirt spooked him). Came home to an MCL grade 2 tear. 3 months recovery time. Without Hassan and my new Husband by my side our African adventure would have been much different.

I am leaving all the fun out! The ancient wells, camel milk (delicious!), the food, the landscape, Volubilus, the dogs we fed on the side of the highway, Berber bathroom stops, the TOP NOTCH accommodations MET ckose,

The day we were leaving Morocco, they closed the borders to all inbound and outbound travel because of the Omnicron Variant. We were stuck. Very happily at first, then realizing it really could be a month or more before we got home, worried. We had already said our goodbyes the day before. So, there was no reason that MET should have even worried about us. BUT worry they did! They were in constant contact with us offering to help us in ways that were ABOVE and BEYOND. They proved (even though there was no doubt) what wonderful people they truly are.
We did end up getting a re-patriation flight and all ended well.

These are just some of the things that could have gone really badly BUT instead make for wonderful memories.

I am writing this review, NOT to tell you about all of the beautiful places and the beautiful people of Africa because you already know you want to go there and I cannot wait for you to experience all the things we did, for yourselves.

I am writing this review because Morocco Expert Tours is Beyond Excellent. Every moment- from my first email, to my constant, "what if we did this", to even the congratulations on our wedding last month... this level of caring only comes from people who love their country and love to make sure everyone who comes their has the time of their lives.

Thank you Hassan and Youssef for being a part of our blessed journey!!

AFFFRRRRIIIKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAA!! - Hassan Thank you for all of the memories that we didn't plan!

Youssef - Thank you for always being kind, patient and happy!

We were a group of 2 couples, with the wonderful Hassan Benhirt as our guide. We highly recommend Journeys International and Morocco Expert Tours to anyone wanting to visit Morocco. The places they chose for us to visit were fabulous. Virtually every day was a feast of amazing sights, sounds, tastes - and the extraordinarily hospitable Moroccans. The riads and a couple of hotels we stayed in were amazing, each in their own way, each a very different experience. Morocco is beauty upon magic upon enchantment - and wonderful people.

Some of our favorite experiences: our entire magical day in Chefchaouen, including hiking to the Spanish Mosque and our impossibly lovely Riad Dar Echchaouen, including our waiter Mamoun; lunch at the beautiful Riad d'Or in Meknes; the Fez medina (especially the tile and leather workshops, including amazing leather dyeing yard), the Qarawiyyin Mosque and Library; the unimaginably beautiful Riad Salam Fes, including the charming Mustapha; our drive from Fez across the Middle and High Atlas Mountains and all the stops we made along the way - the Barbary Apes, all the panoramic views, the opportunity to visit with a nomad family (a lovely mother and her adorable little boy), the Ziz Valley; Riad Nezha in Merzouga, including Said; our tour around the irrigation of the date palm area and wells; the fossil area in the desert; tea with nomads, the concert by Bambara in the Gnaoua town Khamlia and "Berber pizza," Lake Sriji en Merzouga; riding camels in the desert out to our camp, where we climbed silky sand dunes at sunset and moonrise, and saw more stars than we've seen in years; our Todra Gorges day, including the stop at the fossil workshop and climbing down into the Dry Wells to see how the irrigation worked underground, and the eye-popping panoramic views and gorges; Monkey Toe rock formations; the astounding Kasbah Amridil in Skoura; climbing through the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (where the Glauoi people live); the phenomenal "snake highway;" the wonderful Ilham Elhidoudi and her sister Ghislane and cousins who run Riad Gallery 49; Marrakech's Saadien tombs, the Ben Youssef Coranique School (especially seeing all the dorm rooms of students so long ago!), the El Bahia Palace; the unbelievably beautiful Majorelle Garden, with its Berber Museum; the goats in the argan trees and seeing women grinding the nuts with very heavy stone grinders; our lunch, climb, and hike up to one of the waterfalls of the High Atlas Mountains. And always, always seeing people walking along roadsides, including children walking back and forth to school; learning about the Berber language and alphabet, and about the agriculture and people's lives.

Our guide Hassan was a big part of what made our trip great. Hassan is a rare combination of fun, knowledge, warmth, caring, and attentiveness to his clients' needs and preferences. He created a lively, fun mood through ongoing funny banter with all of us. He learned each of our quirky wishes and made sure they were met each day. He answered our zillion questions about what we were seeing out the car windows and as we toured various sites (not to be confused with the local guides we had in some cities who were specialists in their own locales' histories). Hassan was super attentive to all our questions, and his knowledge seemed inexhaustible.

When three of us seniors wanted to climb up to a High Atlas waterfall, Hassan patiently helped pull each of us over each batch of rocks, telling us where to place our feet at each step. When my beloved visor blew off my head over the cliff in the strong winds at Chefchouen's Spanish Mosque, I was sure it was gone for good. But Hassan immediately plunged over the nearly vertical hillside and in about 15 minutes he miraculously reappeared with my visor! In the desert, Hassan expertly taught us how to wind our scarves around our heads in the Berber manner. He played a drum in another Berber village fantastically well, and a couple times sang along with Berber songs on the car radio in his very appealing voice.

Without Hassan, our trip wouldn't have been as fun, memorable, and informative as it was. We will never forget him!

A couple of not-so-perfect elements and caveats:
When you arrive at the Casablanca airport, go all the way outdoors to meet your guides: they are not allowed inside the terminal. They will give you a super great greeting once you emerge from the building.
The argan oil people made too many claims that their products would cure every illness and solve any beauty problem, and they were too pushy trying to sell.
Above all, be aware that you can and should BARGAIN everywhere, including at women's cooperatives such as the gorgeous Fez rug showroom. I made the mistake of believing the seller's standard bargaining strategy of pressuring me, claiming I couldn't consider my purchase over lunch and return afterward because the showroom (supposedly) was closing for the rest of the day for prayers. I should have just walked out at that moment so he would have understood I was ready to bargain!

Truly wonderful. Morocco Expert Tours did an amazing job on our 11 day private tour for two women travelers. We asked to see cultural and historical highlights and also get off the beaten path, enjoy the outdoors and see more local life. They customized a tour just for us. We relied on their expertise for what to see and how to see it and were not disappointed. Our driver/guide was Hamid, one of the owners. He was great. We enjoyed his knowledge of the country, history, geography, and culture. He went the extra mile to please us - even adding in a little stop to look for fossils when we mentioned we enjoyed that. Not every day went exactly as on the plan - but we did everything we wanted and more we didn't even know we wanted. A couple of things you might like to know. They are truly professional and honest. Don't worry about sending in the deposit. Then a couple days into the trip you pay the rest on credit card if you wish (3 percent added for that). All above board. We had a local tour guide in most places we went to. Most were fantastic and added a lot to the experience. However it also adds to the expense as you tip each guide. We had a terrible guide in Marrakech - didn't show us anything we could not have seen ourselves. Maybe skip the guide there. P.S. Once we told this to Hamid he was immediately on the phone and willing to arrange another guide to come that afternoon. We declined. All the places we stayed were good. Some were fantastic - with beautiful architecture. All breakfasts are included and some dinners. Lunches not included but often chosen for us based on guide recommendation or convenience when driving to from places. Some great some not so great, but in the scheme of things it all worked wonderfully. I highly recommend Morocco Expert Tours.

My family just returned from a magnificent 11-day guided tour of Morocco that will provide awesome memories to last a lifetime. Our group consisted of my wife and myself, our two married daughters and their husbands, and our precious one -year old granddaughter.

Morocco Expert Tours and our driver-guide Abdul exceeded our expectations in every respect. The initial itinerary and booking arrangement with Youssef was handled with professionalism and ease. He answered all of our many questions clearly and expeditiously. We chose our own itinerary and had made AirBNB reservations along the way.

After all the arrangements were made and monies transferred, it was finally “D-day” for arrival into the Casablanca airport. Would someone be there to pick us up? I mean, you never know.

All fears and trepidations were put aside after we emerged from the arrivals hall and were greeted by our smiling driver extraordinaire Abdul. After a gracious welcome, he stated that we are now his family and anything we wanted or needed was his pleasure to provide.

With Abdul cheerfully and ably at the helm, we were able to travel a good swath of Morocco. From Rabat, to the beautiful “Blue City Chefchaouen, Meknes and Ouarzazate.

We experienced the chaotic but fascinating casbas and medinas in Fes and Marrakesh, where licensed guides accompanied us.

A favorite of the trip was a two-night stay at a beautiful auberge in the Sahara where we had also booked a camel trek and desert camp. Awesome! This was followed by an exhilarating drive through the High Atlas Mountains.

Our trip was capped off with a relaxing two-day stay in the “chill vibes” coastal city of Essaouira.

From the moment we arrived, our driver/guide Abdul went above and beyond to make our trip fantastic and stress-free.

It was a special treat when he took us to his home to meet his wife and two lovely children. Thank you Abdul and family for the honor of your hospitality. We are indeed “one family!”

Morocco is a beautiful and endlessly alluring country and so are her people.

For anyone considering a trip to this country I have no reservations in highly recommending the services of Morocco Expert Tours!
