About the operator
- LANDY3100VERY POPULARStill a great but very popular attraction. We walked around but the lines for all tours were too long. You must book first. Gift shop and eatery on site and plenty of photo opportunities by simply walking around
- BlackSavannah00Wonderful time at beautiful placeOur family of 4 (with 2 grown kids) had a great time on the novice e-bike tour. Darryl was our guide and he ensured everyone was safe and had fun. We stopped by multiple sites and had lots of time to take photos and to explore. Highly recommend this for anyone who can ride a bike. 1. I was glad that we brought some water. The sun was out and it got hot. They sell cold water on site. You can also wear a cap under the helmet 2. It was super easy to ride the e-bike. You don’t even need to worry about the gear. Just a couple buttons to help with going uphill 3. I debated between the novice and experienced e-bike tour and glad that we booked the novice. Our group had 8 people, all adults, so we were able to go at a good pace and to take in all the sites. I understand the experienced e-bike tour would focus more on the riding
- scouter20200Fun tour! The ranch is beautiful and we were amazed at how many movies and TV shoes have used the property for production. Fun and upbeat tour guide made the trip very nice.
- HappyO_1200Beautiful UTV ride on a rainy dayFun ATV adventure through beautiful scenery. Had rained earlier in the day - clouds over the mountain backdrop and cooler weather made for a great day. Kat and Marlito were the best guides - knowledgable, took fun pics of guests and appreciated their attention to safety of guests. Must do this beautiful ride - highly recommend!
- elvism38000Dramatic Back DropWhilst the tour itself was quite good. The guides were great and were quite interactive giving very interesting information and stories about the ranch and Hawaiian history. We did however have a bad experience with the operator before the tour started. We had initially booked for 4 adults. We then had a fifth adult join our holiday so we tried booking an additional ticket. The operator refused to add an extra person to the original booking. They wanted us to book a separate ticket. We tried doing this but the operator said they don't accept single bookings and required a booking for two. Viator tried arguing our case but without success. We found this disappointing. Especially once we arrived for the tour and discovered the ATV vehicles we were allocated could accommodate atleast 5 passengers.
- Paul H00Diversion from congestion of WaikikiProvided a different view of Oahu, natural beauty versus urban congestion. The best part was the views from the mountain of the bay. It just wasn’t as adventurous as we expected. The guide did a good job of explaining something of Hawaiian history and culture and the local vegetation.
- normanh62000Kualoa Ranch Must SeeThe movie sites tour was fantastic! Tour Guide, Elsie, was outstanding. She was fun and very interactive. The 90-minute tour was the perfect amount of time. The entire experience was amazing. Highly recommend this tour.
- cynthiakC7611GO00Come see for yourself! We had a lot of fun driving the trail on the raptor tour. Loved the scenery! We learned some history of the people and area as well.
- shontej49600Riding through the IslandI truly can't say enough about this tour! It was amazing to just drive through the jungles of the island. It was cloudy and rainy the day we went but that did not make the experience any different. In fact, the rain made it more fun to ride in the UTV with the mud. Our guides were great. We were at the end of our group so one of the guides was behind us the whole time so we were able to ask any questions about the land or what we saw. The UTV's were easy to handle and fit four of us perfectly. We were out there every bit of the 2 hours that was sold to us!!
- Sightseer77904000Good tour to see the ranch, worth the moneyWe have driven by here before and thought we would take a tour the next time we came to the island. They have so many different tours to choose from. We chose the UTV raptor tour. They say on the email and the confirmation to show up 45 minutes early to check in. However, when we showed up 45 minutes early at the tour check in area, they gave us a receipt and told us to check in at our designated area 15 minutes before the tour. Therefore we had 30 minutes of free time to roam around the main area there and the gift shop/café. The only reason I can think that they ask you to show up early is due to the parking. We got lucky and found the only spot in the parking lot and the very very back. We saw many other cars circling around for spots. This place is busy! They run the UTV tours every 15 minutes. The order that you check in is the order that you get assigned your place in the UTV caravan. Since we arrived so early we got in line to check in at our designated area (each tour has a different check in spot once you check in at the main tour check in spot). This starts about 15 minutes before your tour time. We handed over our receipt and we signed our waivers/who was driving and got our buffs. They provide complimentary buffs for you. We researched online ahead of time and knew that we had to wear helmets so we brought our own buffs. But this worked out because we used their buff to wear on our head under the helmet, and we used our own buff as a bandana to keep the dust out. Beware this tour is very dusty! They fit you with a helmet, and goggles if you would like (we just wore our sunglasses). You have two tour guides, one at the front and one at the back. We watched a quick safety video. Note the maximum speed is 15 miles per hour… We walked over to our UTV’s, got our picture taken, and were on our way. We started about 15 minutes past the tour start time so you ride for about 1 hour and 45 minutes out of the 2 hour time frame (plus then you have getting there 15-45 minutes early). Therefore this is a pretty big time commitment so just be aware of that. The tour itself was nice. It consisted of driving for a bit, then stopping for a break to talk about history or a movie set and take pictures. You can switch drivers at this time, or you can wait until they let you know when the half way point is since there are multiple stops. Each section of the trails was different scenery. You had the ranch scenery where it was mostly fields with cows, you had the mountain scenery, and then you had the jungle scenery. It was a wide variety of area that you cover on the ranch and it was a great way to see it all. You don’t stop at all of the movie sites though, as that is a different tour. We stopped at mostly Jurassic World movie sites, but you have an opportunity to take pictures as you go by others as a passenger. You are riding in 6 seater Kawasaki mules, but each party gets their own UTV. When you end the tour, there are some outdoor sinks available to wash up a little as again, you get dusty. However they also have the restroom in the gift shop if you need to change clothes or if you need a mirror. Overall we thought the tour was well organized and they are a well oiled machine with how they move people through the tours. If you are looking for a way to see the ranch as a whole, then this tour is for you! The only thing we would change is maybe change the maximum speed to 20 miles per hour and it would have been that much better.
- YankeeOnTheCoast00Absolutely beautiful ride with amazing guides and horses!A huge thank you to our guide Tianna. I am an experienced horse rider and have done many rides all over the world. While this is a walking only tour which can sometimes be tedious for experienced riders - Tianna still made this a fun experience. She has so much energy and passion for her role. She was calm and patient (more than I could’ve been!) with inexperienced riders. I was also incredibly impressed that she had gone to the effort to learn phrases in multiple languages that were helpful on the trail. Definitely the signs of someone who goes above and beyond for their role! She had excellent knowledge of all the horses and a great fondness and understanding of them all. She was also very knowledgeable about the land and area and gave us a lot of great information along the way. The horses are absolutely lovely I had a lovely guy named Sriracha who never put a foot wrong and my partner had Kalanakila (I’m so sorry for butchering that spelling dude!) who was a big guy with even bigger personality - we loved him! The scenery is absolutely stunning and it’s a lovely slow pace for lots of photos. Because the ride does cater to those without riding experience - you don’t get the opportunity to stop at any of the film locations to hop off or even grab mounted photos. This was a pretty clear expectation from the start so I wasn’t disappointed but it’s certainly a potential opportunity for the business. It wouldn’t be feasible with inexperienced riders but perhaps someday there will be different levels of trail rides available!
- LDJean1200Scenic and funThe staff is really what makes each zipline fun. The scenery is beautiful. Note: guests are given complimentary lockers before ziplining.
- LDJean1200Best tourThis was one of the best tours taken during our stay. This tour is scenic and fun. Tips: if your the passenger, put on a good playlist while driving through the ranch. You will get dirty, but it's worth it.
- Murbike00AmazingAmazing. The staff, scenery and everything else about our visit was amazing. If you do the UTV Raptor tour, bring a change of clothes and some wipes to clean up. You will get dirty. GO do this tour. 100% recommend
- hannahpV5068CC0010/10 experience, amazing tour guides Leyton and Matt! This experience is an absolute 10/10 must try! Our tour guides Leyton and Matt were amazing, extremely knowledgeable about the history of the ranch and made the experience so much for fun and enjoyable! They had such great energy and even took our pictures and gave us recommendations of things to do on the island! Will definitely be coming back!

I have mixed emotions about our day:
First off, the Ranch is absolutely gorgeous & I recommend doing at least 1 tour just to see it.
However, the tours are a bit confusing...
When we booked our tours we called about the different options & were told that the Jurassic Adventure tour & the UTV tour went to different stops, so I booked the Jurassic Adventure tour for the morning & the UTV tour for the afternoon. However, while on our Jurassic Adventure tour, we realized that the UTV's were on the same trail we were on. There were only 2 stops that the UTV's stopped at that we didn't, but we still drove by those stops, we just didn't stop. So, we didn't 'feel the need to do the UTV tour in the afternoon & see the same things we just saw.
We went to the ticket desk & explained this, but they would't give us a full refund. She said the only thing we could do is take the boat tour & she would give us a partial refund, so that is what we did. The boat tour was ok. It was a beautiful bay & we learned about the fish pond. We received about a 50% refund for the UTV tour which we were fine with.
Our tour guide was a young teenager. He was ok. He showed us scenes from the Jurassic Park movies on his iPad which was really nice so we could see what part of the movie that scene was in, he was great about taking photos, but he was on his phone the rest of the time. We had $ to tip him, but didn't. He was the only tour guide during our month long stay in Hawaii that we did not tip.
It was cool to see some of the movie props from the Jurassic Park movies, but we were really disappointed in how many props we saw. We expected to see more dinosaurs too, but learned that most of the dinosaurs in the movies were CGI. It was cool to see the fields where they shot the scenes, but not sure it was what we were expecting. We learned that only a few scenes were actually filmed there. The coolest part was the Indominous Rex cage which is worth the tour to see
I think it could be more clear which movies were shot where
The road was very bumpy & the ride uncomfortable.
We did really enjoy the history room & reading about the history of the Ranch.
I think it is worth doing at least 1 tour, but I wouldn't make a day of it.

Our guide Chris made this tour absolutely incredible!!! It is clear how passionate he is and how much Chris genuinely enjoys this tour. Our group had SO much fun. It is a 2.5 hour tour and it absolutely flew by. We ended up with so many amazing photos thanks to Chris and his trainee Julie. It was overall just an incredible afternoon. We were so lucky to have ended up on Chris’ tour - what an absolute delight!!
The price can appear a bit daunting at first but it is a lengthy and worthwhile tour. It absolutely has been a highlight of our trip so far. We stopped at multiple memorable Jurassic stops and had plenty of time at each stop to take as many pictures as we wanted. 100% worth it.
I am sure Kualoa has many amazing Jurassic Adventure guides but Chris is an absolute star - thank you for an amazing afternoon!

The crew was amazing Kelsey and Sophie were great and made us feel safe in the water especially my mom who can’t swim. They had plenty of equipment and tons of experience. Captain Megan was the best and came to the rescue when we started to feel queasy, would recommend for anyone who is looking for a nice snorkel experience that is easy and family friendly!!!

So tour was awesome. First things first. Book early like 3 or 4 weeks early if you have limited time in Hawaii. We waited and then it was sold out and we got lucky and someone cancelled. I was super excited leading up to this tour and it did not disappoint. I believe our tour guide was "Edin". He was soo funny. He was really good with the kids on the tour and he had the adults laughing too. He helped us take pictures we everyone could get in the shot and not take turns or snap selfies. He really made an effort for everyone to enjoy themselves.
The views were beautiful. I got great shots. This trip was our honeymoon and we had a great time. Can't say enough good things about this. Would highly recommend this.

With our knowledgeable and kind tour guide, Val, we learned about Hawaiian folklore, the history of the ranch, and the history of films made at the ranch, specifically Jurassic Park. She told us stories of the land and the people that have used it for various reasons. She staged fun photo ops making it look like we were being chased by a dinosaur and was accommodating and hospitable at every moment. We had a wonderful time!

We went to three islands in our recent two week vacation and the only reasons I picked this island was for the Jurassic Adventure tour. We were told only ONE week prior to our tour date that a Spartian race would be going on during our tour day. This means there would be hundreds of runners going over and around 40+ obstacles that were set up beforehand and basically littering throughout the beautiful valley. Absoluty horrible of this company to wait so long as I otherwise would have cancelled our resort visit and just done the Big Island and Maui. I feel so sorry for the people who didn't know about this beforehand and I see many reviews saying it completely ruined their day. I will never be doing business with this company in the future and will actively steer my many friends who visit Hawaii towards their competitors who actually gave an advanced notice of this Spartan race going on the same days as their tour date. Just to be clear, I did receive a refund for the small about they charge for the tour but the thousands I spent for the weekend resort could not be refunded with the short notice they gave.

Tour guide absolutely made this visit memorable - I think her name was Shell. She was amazing and very funny. It takes effort to keep people amused and informed for 3 hours! The scenery is amazing so just enjoy it. The tour isn’t as gorgeous as the Hobbiton film set one but it’s nice to see where several scenes were filmed. You’re going for beautiful Hawaii scenery - nothing else. Definitely recommend.
One downside was the booking, I was spammed with emails from Hawaii Tours once I had my booking, but their service when I had questions was really poor.

This place is so beautiful! We did the Jurassic Park tour and loved it! In addition to seeing the movie locations which is very cool, just driving around the ranch itself is a beautiful experience. My wife and I both said this was a highlight of our Hawaii vacation. Our tour guide Brandon was great, we would recommend this tour to any Jurassic park fan and highly recommend a visit to Kualoa for anyone visiting Oahu. There are various tours to pick from for different experiences. Definitely an Oahu gem!!

This your was very well worth it. Keanna was so informative and allowed us to get our big photo ops. She also sang for us and took us at several locations that made this tour feel like we got both the movie and jungle vibes .

Cannot recommend the UTV tour more. Such a fun and interactive experience at Kualoa Ranch. The guides were so informative with fun movie and Hawaii history facts. My aunt and I did the ride along UTV tour, you could choose to drive yourself but we wanted to get more of the information from the guide and it was totally worth it. We loved hearing all about the ranch and all the movies that were filmed there. Highly recommend this tour it is totally worth the money! The ranch also has so much to do, and it is a short drive from Waikiki.

We had a car and visited it that way. We didn't check into other options. Besides, we weren't staying in Waikiki. We were up north of the ranch. Sorry we could not be more helpful. Have a good time.
