We have experience riding scooters and thought it was the best way to get around Waikiki with out dealing with the hassle of overnight parking. We are staying at the Hyatt place and they allowed us to park overnight at their location for safer storage. Will rent from them again for sure.

If I had to recommend something from my trip to Hawaii, it would be to ride a scooter around Hawaii on the East Sea. The staff was considerate of me while using Google Translator. - alpenmelk00Best way to see Honolulu!It was perfect. I could go to the places I wanted to visit. I stayed in a hostel nearby and i could park my moped in front of their store. So, i didn't have to pay a parking fee at the hostel. Everything was easy fixed and the staff was very kind and helpfull! I would definitely recommend this place for a rental bike/moped/scooter.

We reserved a scoot coupe on line a couple days ahead. We rented for 4 hours. The night before, we got a text telling us where to go to pick it up. Surprisingly, it was NOT where we had seen the vehicles, spoken to a rep, and picked up the brochure! Luckily it was within walking distance of our hotel.
We arrived at 8:15 for our 8:30 pick up, and there were two lines. One line was for those with reservations and the other for walk ups. We were surprised again as we watched the walk up line being served at the same time as the reservation line, rather than getting those of us with an appointment taken care of first. We got to the front of the line at 8:45, and it took another 15 minutes to register on their iPads (most of which we already did on line).
Because of the wait we were told to skip the video orientation and were handed two helmets and shown to our scoot coupe. We were shown the basics, told the gas gauge didn’t work, and told to circle the block to see if we had questions. Other than the steering being VERY loose, we did not have questions.
We decided to head towards Diamond Head, and checked out a couple beaches. The most fun we had was driving through all of the different neighborhoods. Other cars were tolerant and considerate even though we were going a bit slower than they wanted to go. All in all, it was a fun diversion to going to the beach.
We would have given 5 stars had the coupe been in perfect working order, and of the check in process was better set up. How about having people show up 30 min before start time and having more help. Also stagger the start times.

I rented one of their Scoot Coups fora few hours. I have twin 7 y.o.’s and swapped them out for turns and allowing them each to shop with mom as well. My daughters thought it was one of the most fun parts of our trip. So the product was great.
If it was just the activity, I don't think I'd give 5 stars. What really helped make it a 5-star rating was how friendly and professional the service was. They were clear about the charges, clear about operating instructions and inviting to any questions. Have a bluetooth speaker to take with us meant we could hear google directions and Christmas music from my phone.
The people running it were top-notch, the activity was crazy fun, I can't recommend Hawaiian Style Rentals more enthusiastically.

The scoot coupes are great, with the three wheel body we felt safe and sturdy! You can drive with traffic, just not on freeways. Fun way for sight seeing off the main area of Waikiki. Kennedy was so nice and helpful! Would definitely do again.

We had a great time with the Scoot Coupe! As expensive as cars are there, parking, etc, etc - this was a really nice option for us to check out the area for a few hours. We were able to drive it into Diamond Head and all over downtown. This is one of the best options out there!!

Looking for a fun way to tour Honolulu/Waikiki area… this is it!!! Our group of (6) rented (2) coupes and (2) scooters. We had a blast!
From start to finish Brandon and Hadi made the process so straightforward and simple. Pricing was much better than I expected (huge bonus 😀)
Thankfully, the speed limits are lower in Hawaii than in other states. So, even a beginner scooter/coupe rider will feel safe and comfortable on the road.
Loved that they loaned us a portable speaker to go along with the coupe so we could listen to music as we cruised through Paradise!!!

Friendly staff. Thorough explanation of safety features. A map and detailed instructions regarding where the rental can be taken within the city is provided. Easy to lock and secure when not in use. Small trunk for storage if needed. Practice test drive around the block is very helpful to get a feel for the handling. Sunscreen is a must. Passenger must be willing to get out and more importantly be able to push the vehicle when you need to backup. My teenage son could easily push the scoot coupe when needed. One other caution, twice while driving, debris blowing down the street ending up hitting me while I drove (a cardboard box and a branch). Be alert!

Highly recommend renting the Scoot Coupe for a whole day and seeing Honolulu from a different view. It feels amazing to scoot around in that little thing and feel the breeze blow through your hair (we chose no helmets but did have 2nd thoughts about that). Don't bring much baggage bc there is no real storage and be prepared for the ride of your life through paradise! My wife and I had so much fun cruising by the shore around Diamondhead then heading up to Monoa Falls. Highly recommend that trip. It's a little scary at first when you get to the main roads but traffic sucks anyway and you aren't really traveling on roads with faster than 25MPH speed limits. Big and tall folks might be squeezed but sit in it first if concerned. We only had time to rent for half a day before our cruise and wish we had started sooner. If your adventorous this is for you. Looked for something similar on other islands and only found it in Waikiki. Would do it again anyday. Aloha!

Scoot Coupe was great, very fun to take around. Staff was great and is very helpful and courteous. I do agree that paperwork takes some time, but overall not really a big deal.
Scoot Coupes could be maintained better though… seats are worn down, and Bluetooth speaker did NOT work on both our vehicles. Also, even though seatbelts are NOT mandatory they said, it would have been great to have one—driver side was broken.
I do recommend this for it’s a great way to cruise Waikiki and other areas, and a great family outing.

We had a great day in our scoot coupe! Joseph started us out right with very clear instructions and a great overview of the area map, including some really cool spots along the waterfront and shore. The scoot coupe ran great with no problems, was easy to drive and was a lot of fun.

This place was right around the corner from where we were staying at the Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach. This place was amazing. From the rental process, down to the quick instructions it was amazing. My family and I had so much fun. We are an African American family from Chicago and the staff was very kind to us. I think in this current climate that we live in this is a very important aspect to remember. Strongly recommend checking them out if you are in the Waikiki area.

Would I be able to park this scooter and hike into Diamond Head? I'm concerned that someone would take the scooter if I parked it or left it somewhere (if travelling solo)

They give you a wheel lock with a key so you can scoot around and stop and hike, eat, etc with no worries. They just ask that you take a pic of the lock when you place it.
How fast do they go? and, can you drive in regular traffic?

35-40 mph top speed. You are allowed to drive with traffic. The major highways are off limits but that’s it.
