      Great staff, views and show
The views were amazing! The show was superb! While the buffet on deck one was mediocre, the staff was the best! Everyone was very helpful. However, i want to give a big shout out: Phillip was the highlight of our trip!

Thank you for this special moment.
We went there for our honeymoon. We were able to see a wonderful and spectacular view. We were also very satisfied with the various shows and meals. The captain (stephan) also gave us a lot of encouragement, which made our night and moment even more special. I will never forget this moment! Thank you very much for an irreplaceable time!

      A moment of soothing
①The staff was always smiling and very pleasant. ②I felt that the quality of the food was worse than before. ③I don't think I'm eating enough. ④The cheesecake for dessert felt too frozen. ⑤I liked that there were Japanese songs to play the piano. ⑥I thought it would be better to make the jazz singer's selection of songs more popular.

      Spectacular tour
Amazing dinner, service and sunset. The jazz singer and band were really good. If you do only one thing on oahu this should be it, worth every penny.

Best thing we did in Honolulu!
This was by far the most amazing experience we had on our family vaction! Rose and Mahealani took customer service to a whole new level. The most attentive and friendly service we have ever received. The food and the show were fantastic! I can't recommend this cruise highly enough. You have to book this, you won't regret it. It made our family's vacation epic! Thank you again for everything you did for us, Rose and Mahealani. Mahalo!

      A Disappointment
The dinner is advertised as a prime rib dinner. Sure it contained prime rib but it was sliced thinner than what you get at supermarket deli counter and about as flavorful. The other food items were bland as well. The entertainers tried hard but are limited by the space they had to perform in amongst the dinner tables. Service was okay but if you purchase wine with dinner your credit card isn't returned for at least 90 minutes. When I inquired when it would be returned, I was informed before we docked so don't worry about it. All in all big disappointment.

The best / top notch cruise you can find in Hawaii
Probably the best sunset cruise experience you can find in the entire state of Hawaii. Great services, great ambience and great food. Jazz music was subtle and will not bother your elegant dining ambience. With the spectacular sunset, it is hard to find negatives with this ship. Very stable ride and I can highly recommend to another friends.

      Star of Honolulu
Nice two hours of beautiful sailing along the coast of Waikiki. Staff were extremely polite and the entertainment was very good and cultural. The food was decent and plentiful and you have your own table whether a couple or larger group.

Our first dinner on a cruise ship...
Aloha🌸 our experience was awesome we had a memorable time that will be with us forever. It brought tears of joy to my eyes to see my love so happy and that we were able to treat ourselves to this dinner all you can eat buffet on the star of honolulu , food was delicious everything was so ono (good) the sunset was beautiful..... And I wanna send a special MAHALO TO KALANI " The bus driver" for sharing what the dinner cruise had to offer and what might be just what we needed as a couple and enjoy what this experience would bring to us... It reminded us time we need to slow down at times and enjoy time together make memories it's not always about the Hussle and bussel. And we also met people that will keep in touch with, that are amazing people too. .

      A fun and vivacious evening.
It cost more but we got a lot more. Vivacious staff and nonstop live entertainment. Food and beverages were good. The venue was clean and decorated cheerfully. Boat was stable and comfortable despite the rain. Dress up for it!

      Awesome BOGO Whale Watching Tour
I took advantage of a By One Get One deal for the early bird whale watching tour and it was phenomenal! We had the pleasure of standing by the naturalist, Alyssa, for most of the trip and she was informative and a joy to be around. We saw a momma and her calf breach, and several fluke tail breach’s. The star itself had a ton of space to allow families to spread out and was very clean. What a great experience!

Overall better than I expected from a tourist activity. The staff were friendly and hardworking. The food was better than I expected and more than I could eat. The show was surprisingly entertaining and I'm glad I saw it, but if I get to do this again I will probably spend more time on the top deck enjoying the beautiful, beautiful views. Star Casual delivered on every advertised point.
Tips: We parked in an open, public lot on Aloha Tower Drive about one block south of the ship. Expect to pay $30 for parking there. When the cruise is over, be aware that there are actually two exit gates out of the parking lot. Traffic got glommed up at the one people knew about and we were able to make a quick escape out the second gate.
Try to get to the top deck early for views. We got up early and then went back down for dinner. Later it filled up and we were not allowed access.
When the captain suggests going to the starboard side to view the sunset, go there and stake your space. You can view the sunset, the ship will turn, and then you can view Waikiki coastline on the way back. So pretty!
We were on the 3-hour Friday night cruise. When we returned to our seats after seeing the fireworks I was very thirsty but everything had been cleaned up. Water would have been nice, so hang on to your glass when you go outside.
Bring some cash to tip your server. You will like him or her.
We ordered anti-nausea wristbands from Amazon and took them with us. The staff had ginger tablets and ginger ale for people who were bothered by the rocking of the boat, but it was very gentle. I hardly noticed it.
This would be a fun excursion for a special event like a birthday party or anniversary. We even had a wedding couple in wedding dress and tuxedo on our cruise! They were invited to the stage to dance and we serenaded them.
I would definitely recommend Star Cruise. I would do it again and take more people with me if I have the opportunity.

We went on the Star of Honolulu, Three Star Sunset Dinner & Show Cruise for our family's first trip to Hawaii~🎶

While my mother was preparing with enthusiasm by watching YouTube videos, I strongly begged my father to go when it became the main event of the trip and it came true❗

There was a bus shuttle service between the hotel where we were staying and the boarding point, so we could enjoy the cruise without worrying about the return, and the cruise that started with live music and welcomed by all the staff from the boarding was more moving than I expected.

Unfortunately, we couldn't see the beautiful sunset on the day because of the clouds, but all the food served was delicious, with cheese, fruit and salad appetizers, a whole lobster for each person, tender tenderloin steak and potatoes. We ate the mousse cake for dessert in one go.

Enjoy the luxury of enjoying the impressive show and live singing that unfolds in front of you while drinking a welcome drink and two cocktails of your choice. It was the best❗
Everyone on the floor danced hard at the finale, but I was surprised to see my father dancing happily next to my mother, who had been into it from the beginning! It was the first time I'd ever seen my father.

It was a truly valuable and fun family memory.

Then, while we were looking at the view from the observation deck, Captain Steve spoke to us in fluent Japanese. It made me so happy. Captain! Please come to Japan to eat Katsuura Tantanmen~

On my next trip to Hawaii, I'd like to board on a Friday so we can see the fireworks.
Thank you for the wonderful cruise, which was filled with the Hawaii I wanted to experience.
    Thank you very much❗

My Hotel concierge helped book this for me. Star of Honolulu picked me up from the Hotel and our driver Charles was hilarious. I was excited because of the drive alone was this good, better things are to come! Upon arrival I was greeted warmly by the crew and shown my seat. Service and food was good, and the Mai Tai was delicious. Uncle Babba (musician) was amazing, and gave me a real feel for traditional island music. It was nice that they had a professional photographer to capture the Sunset. After dinner, the top deck views were incredible! Sunset, Harbor, Waikiki Skyline, and Diamondhead. I ended up chatting with Captain Steve for a while, easily my favorite part. He was so genuinely kind, and interested in my travels to Oahu. He pointed out different historical areas as we cruised through the Pacific. You can tell he has great pride in his Team, ship, and State. Mahalo to all who made this an incredible evening!

This was a planned birthday cruise for my on her 75th birthday. I signed up for the deluxe package which indicated open air dinning and paid extra for a table for 2. First I should say I did not read the fine print about the seating may not be has indicated, what an understatement. We were packed into a lounge size area on the bow of the boat. We got the table for two but there was about 3 to 4 inches apart. So no outside dinning, could have but all the tables for 2 together for how much separation there was, and no discount on any of this.
The food offered was what had been provided except the appetizers were on a table next to the restroom and was not tended to so the first pass of guests left and food fight for the rest. The Lobster and tenderloin were cold. So between the lousy food and the last than adequate service the meal sure wasn’t 5 star.
The entertainment was so so at times some dancers did seem to know the moves. The Jazz portion of the show was a sax player and a singer 3 songs and they goes.

So, my wife was completely disappointed in what should have been a very special occasion. As for me, if I had bought something for the price I paid here ($500.00 plus) I would immediately return it.

Don’t let the add fool you the whole thing is barely adaquate and on of the extras are worth it.

The whole experience was great from the comfy(greyhound type) bus to the arrival. We were greeted with leis and hula dancers on the dock. Greeted by the Captain and staff and easily directed to our tables. When my wife and I were seated, there was settings were already placed and a nice salad was waiting for and service staffing asking for drink orders. A very pleasant young lady with a camera asked if we would like to have our picture taken. I'm glad we did, because the photo was perfect of the two of us, so of course we purchased a copy with a nice folding book like cover with the the photo inside. The entertainment was great. The Hula Performers were great throughout and even the serving staff got involved towards the end and got the passengers to participate in the performance of "YMCA" . The views of Waikiki and Diamond Head was beautiful and the sunset was perfect. I would recommend this cruise to my family and friends. Thank you Star of Honolulu.

This sunset cruise was the highlight of our vacation to Hawaii. The Star of Honolulu staff were so kind, knowledgeable and creative when it came to entertaining the guests. We were immersed in the Hawaiian culture and impressed with the professionalism of everyone involved, from the drivers who picked us up to the musicians who played during the dinner and show. The local food served during our meal was delicious! Watching the sunset while floating on the Pacific Ocean really completed the whole event for us. This cruise is highly recommended!

My daughter ordered 3 tickets ($115/each x 2= $230) for celebration of my 71th Birthday.
I was expecting dinners & show on the STAR Casual cruise to be amazing.
    However this event was horrible.
Dinners supposed to serve @ 5:45 PM, the waiter was super rude, we waited for 1 hr, finally waiter showed up with ONE dinner vs THREE. I asked the waiter what was happened with two other dinner, he told me it’s coming. He disappeared for 15 mins and came back with 1 dinner, he again disappeared for other 10 mins & came with 3rd dinner. Dinners were cold, steaks were stale and bloody raw, chicken smelled like dirty socks, the Hula dance was sloppy I.e. couple heavy girls wiggling their butts whom they called MR & Mrs Aloha. It was very disgusting and not nice nor amusing. Later we discovered that the second girl was actually a man dressed to look like a women. After we ate and before cruise was docked they kept turning off lights leaving our section in the dark. I told the head waiter that our food was inedible and my wife felt like throwing up. He gave my wife a barf bag and said if she felt bad just go to the restroom. However he turned back on the lights and he and the other waiters danced together holding hands.

The 2 hour cruise was excellent, long enough to enjoy the views of Honolulu from the water, and to see the sun go down. The sunsets here are amazing! The food was excellent for a buffet, and there was plenty of it. The shows were a bonus, such talented people showing us their traditional dances. Captain Stephen also gave our group a private conversation, he is very interesting. Great value all around, I would recommend to anyone.

We took the Star of Honolulu Sunset Dinner Cruise complete with the Friday night fireworks show; what a fantastic time we had. The entire staff on this venue were very professional and provided exceptional service during the three hour tour. The fireworks show at the end of the tour was a highlight of the tour.

The meal for the category we paid for consisted of Canadian crab, chicken, and beef tenderloin complete with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and a green salad; the meal was exceptionally good. I love beef, and can honestly say that this was a very good cut of beef.

Entertainment was very good; each of the three categories for the cruise (we had the middle category) had their respective entertainment provided on the floor they had their dinner on. The top level of the boat is open air; unfortunately, they allow patrons to smoke on this level.

We paid for the transportation option to/from the boat; it was a very comfortable (and clean) coach - we felt very safe in this bus, as Chris the driver is definitely a professional driver.

    We highly recommend this tour.

My friends surprised me with this dinner cruise on my bachelorette trip! We went on the Sunset Cruise and the views were stunning. It was nice that they had a photographer who could take a professional group picture to capture the sunset. The food was good, and Mai Tai was great. We went up to the top deck and were greeted by Captain Stephen. He was so welcoming and created an unforgettable experience for us. Along the journey he pointed out different parts of Oahu, calling on the history of each area. The trip was incredible, but Captain Stephen was out of this world. Mahalo!
