My girlfriend and I caught the 6:30am tour (which I highly recommend for a good sunrise on the northern ridges). From the get-go Jules and Tanja were very friendly and fun, and gave interesting facts about these majestic sea critters
Our tour had about 10 people and they split us into two groups to enter the cage at a time, the cages are spacious though and plenty of room to dive down and navigate others.
You are GUARANTEED a shark sighting, there was not a moment we didn’t have a shark within 20 feet of cage, and often they would swim close enough to touch (would not recommend)
Be sure to bring Dramamine, not for the boat ride, but surprisingly for the cage - it rides the waves since its attached to floats
Well worth your time, go say hi to Jules for us!!

We did the 7am shark dive. It was worth the early morning departure from Waikiki because as we were coming back in from the sharks the ocean was getting more rough, which is typical in this area. The awesome (all female!!!!) crew rocked! They kept control of the boat and explained all the steps of getting into the water and what to expect really well. We had a few people get sea sick that normally never have problems so be prepared. I got in the water and immediately swallowed a big gulp of sea water because I shouted there was a shark right by the cage! It was amazing! We felt perfectly safe. But years of training tells you to be scared of these amazing animals. It’s not warranted in this situation. They just swam around gently checking us out and never threatening us. I’d 100% do this again with this crew!

Captain and crew were entertaining during transit and informative about shark behavior during the dive. They took health precautions regarding the spread of Covid-19 by limiting group size. Our family of four had the tank to ourselves. Also, the captain knew of techniques to keep the sharks intrigued and circling the boat in a non-threatening way throughout our time at sea so everyone could study the sharks regardless of order of rotation.

I had taken my 2 children last week 11/8, ages 12 and 13.. we were apart of the first group in the water.. my 12 year old son wanted to get out of the cage because one of the other passengers were in the cage gagging and throwing up.. it was making him feel nauseous.. I stayed in the cage with my 13 year old daughter.. while we were still in the cage, unfortunately my 12 year old son got sick and didn’t make it to the side of the boat.. the attendant “Matty” treated my 12 year old son like pure crap for getting sick and humiliated him in front of the other passengers that were on the boat at the time.. once I was climbing up the ladder out of the cage with my daughter, he came to me and said “your kid got sick and he sprayed on your things”, I of course immediately went to my son who was visibly upset.. the attendant “Matty” followed me over to him scolding me for him getting sick, I’m front of all the other passengers.. everyone was uncomfortable with how he was acting.. one of the other passengers had to say “he is only a child, leave it be..” this is the first and last time I will ever use this company.. if you have children, or think u may get sea sick, use another company in the harbor!! Awful experience..

This was a once in a lifetime experience that I recommend everyone visiting Oahu to try. I also recommend booking the early morning tour as we were able to catch a beautiful sunrise on the way to the dive site.

The crew was very professional and fun and made sure that you feel completely safe the whole time.

There was at least 10 sharks swarming around the cage and it definitely gets your adrenaline pumping!

Also don't forget your underwater camera

Our family of 4 (Including a 10 & 12 yr old boys) just came back from this experience and it was so much FUN! It was quite wavy, and we had a few seasick people on board with us so prepare for this if you are prone to seasickness, especially in the winters here! Our family loved the rocky ride out there, we specifically chose the 1st tour of the day which was 0700 for this specific day. And we are so glad we did (even though it sucked waking up a 0500 to get here on time!)
On the way our we saw 4 bottlenose dolphins which was exciting and lots of flying fish. When we go to the site, we immediately started seeing the sharks come around. It was extremely wavey but always manageable and made it more of an adventure!

When we got into the cage, it was really wavy against the boat this was only until they moved the cage to the back of the boat, and it got better.
We loved every minute of it. We saw Barry the Barracuda with his 2 teeth sticking out, (LOL) and at least 6 large Galapagos sharks! The sharks stayed around us the whole time and my hubby and boys dove to the bottom of the cage to experience it from there. We were smiling ear to ear, this was exactly what we had hoped for!!!!

And on the way back we saw whales, a perfect ending!!!

Our Captain Grizzle and Matty kept us informed and safe the whole time! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company and tour to anyone.

When it comes to shark we'll always be scared. We booked the Shark viewing from the cage. We reached the place an hour earlier as they asked and they took us in a boat where the cage was tied. They attracted the sharks and sent us in the cage by providing the snorkeling masks. The day we travelled the tides were very high and it was windy. But the guides helped us and guided us thoroughly as we are the first time swimmers. They made sure we were comfortable and get a closer look of the shark. It was an amazing and thrilling experience which we will never forget.

Note: The confirmation email states they provide water. But please take water bottles with you on the boat.

We are so happy to hear that you had a thrilling experience with our team on the tour. Thanks also for brining our attention to the error in our confirmation email about drinking water. Out of concern for health and safety during this pandemic, we have stopped offering water on board. It is available for purchase at the check in kiosk. Thanks again. Joseph Pavsek

Such a cool experience! We were picked up as scheduled by Eric at our hotel in town and it took about an hour to get to the surf town for the dive. Eric was an interesting driver and if you love brisk, blunt instructions, dry tour guide suggestions and dry humor, you will love him as much as we did.

Initially, I was under the impression that we were going to dive in scuba gear in a closed cage where we would be a little deeper and I am not going to lie, prior to the excursion, I watched 47 Meters and I began to freak out. However, one of the crew explained to me that in the states, they do the Disneyland version of the dive. If you want the scuba experience, you can only find that in South Africa or the Great Barrier Reef. Thanks to him, I was able to calm down and enjoy the experience.

The water was very choppy and if you know you have a weak stomach, I strongly suggest bringing or taking meds in advance because you do not want to miss this. We took a boat out to about 200 ft deep and the crew went over the instructions which were fairly simple to follow. We wore snorkeling gear and had about 20 minutes per group to dive. While the cage has tons of buoys on it, if too many people stand on the bottom of the cage, it will sink! Just hold on to the top rails, dive under and enjoy the sharks. We encountered 5 Galapagos sharks and it was so awesome!

Shark dive was so much fun, there were so many more sharks than we expected! The dive instructors were knowledgeable and exciting. My friend who came for the boat ride was scared to get in with the sharks, after talking with the instructor she decided to get in the cage as well. She had a great time too! We were able to be spaced out away from other people which was nice and everything felt safe and comfortable, the staff was super nice and helpful, and it was really easy to find the location.

Had a great time on our shark cage trip. Seas were a little rough but I was glad they still allowed for us to go out and get in the cage. Some people got sea sick, including my wife, but it didn’t take away from the actual experience of getting into the water with the sharks. My wife also said the sea sickness went away once she was in the water and not rolling with the boat. Eat some ginger or take some Dramamine if you get sea sick and you’ll be fine.

We went at 7am which is a great time to go. The sharks haven’t had any visitors since the day before and they really do show up. I’d say probably at least 10 sharks but it’s really hard to say. I was never left wondering where they all went because they were constantly swarming the cage. They never swam in an aggressive manner so no one felt frightened.

As a bonus, we went during whale migration season so we saw TONS of whales. I saw one fully breach out of the water as well as 2 simultaneously surface and bring their tails out of the water. We saw lots of whales blowing out their air too.

On the way back into the harbor we had a pod of dolphins following us and diving all around the boat.

I’d say the trip was about 2 hours in total.

In summary:
Sharks, whales, and dolphins. Tough to beat in a single morning.
