Your instructor helps you through a land lesson and as you take to the waves to practice your skills.
What to Expect
Meet for your Maui surf lesson in Kalama Park. Make sure to show up a little bit before your scheduled time.
Once you check in, get suited up in your gear for the day: a rash guard and reef shoes. Then find a surfboard you feel comfortable with.
Next up is a safety instruction and a land lesson on the beach. Your instructor pays close attention to your surfing skill level and helps you get ready to go in the water.
Afterward, test your skills in Maui’s clear water and try to catch some waves.
Your lesson ends in Kalama Park.
