- A9392GYkimw0 contributionsBest way to see LA in a Day - Iconic sights of LAJohn our guide gave so much information. Every place we visited he had an enormous amount of information. I now understand so much about LA that I didn't before. It was such a relaxing easy way to travel. The coach was clean and comfortable. We had plenty of water. Amazing.Written 5 January 2020
- Destination4019530 contributions. The trip with Yuliana in L.A. is both interesting and fun.Yuliana was our guide/driver on a Hollywood and Beverly Hills Half Day Tour . Despite all the changes we made to the original trip plan , Yuliana Did everything to meet our requests, and to do as we please . Despite our Middle English language, her explanations in English were good and clear, and even Italian was used by us during the trip .Written 5 December 2019
- Safdo940 contributionsFantastic tour!!This was my first time in LA and only had 3 days to spend. So, on the first day I chose to do this tour and that was the best decision I’ve made. We stopped at 5 key spots in LA and spent enough time to get to know each spot and take photos. Our tour guide (Joe) was fantastic, very knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend this tour and also come back :)Written 26 November 2019
- ShawnnaB650 contributionsAwesome Tour!!Loved this tour! I wrote a review but after reading it I wondered if it would really help anyone make a decision. Here are some of the reasons we loved this tour. 1. We didn't have to drive - can I get an amen just for that alone! This means that my husband and I could look out the windows and take it all in. 2. We didn't have to park - that's worth an amen too. We didn't have to drive around looking for a nonexistent parking spot, pay to park, IF we found one, and then worry about getting back to the car before the meter ran out. 3. We didn't have to figure out how to get to anything or drive by a landmark or tourist spot that we wouldn't have even known about. 4. After a long day of site seeing we didn't have to drive through traffic to get back to our hotel. Our tour guide - Mike - safely drove us at least 200 miles or more through LA traffic. He knew of alternate routes to take when streets were blocked off or traffic was heavy. He dropped us off at our locations and gave great tips on how to deal with the street vendors and how to find and get to sites we were looking for. He had 12 passengers that had different destinations on the tour that were important to them and he did his best to accommodate us. We didn't get hours at each location but that's because the drivers are trying to reasonably get you to as many locations as possible and get you back to your starting point in a DAY. This tour is to give your a sample of what's going on in LA and how to get there.Written 15 November 2019

- KAB19530 contributionsGreat Day Out!The company has moved its pick-up point in Santa Monica. Not a problem as we received a text the day before. Brian our guide has dry sense of humour and quickly established a good rapport with the guests onboard the modern minibus. The tour took eight hours, but passed by so quickly. There was a major annual event in Santa Monica, so Brian had to avoid several road closures at the start of the tour. Thereafter everything went smoothly. Brian’s narration was relevant and well-focused. Stops in Venice Beach, Beverly Hills, The Farmers Market, Griffith Observatory and Hollywood were very well timed. My wife and I left at the end the tour tired but with the knowledge that we could not have seen so much of LA so quickly. A great day out!Written 17 September 2019
- djaye20180 contributionsDefinitely worth the costWe thoroughly enjoyed the tour...we saw so much in one day and out guide was entertaining. Much better than renting a car and figuring everything out by ourselves.Written 3 September 2019
- emm3cee0 contributionsGreat all day tour of the main sites in LARecommend this tour if you’re looking for an all day tour that takes you to several key locations in LA. The van is large and comfortable with free water and the driver doubles as tour guide, pointing out interesting buildings, sharing celebrity stories, filming locations and other fun facts. You are taken to several locations (including Santa Monica, Venice beach, Hollywood Boulevard, Rodeo Drive, Griffith Observatory - if its open) and you have around 20 - 40 minutes per stop to sight see and take pics. The driver stays with the van at each location and picks you up at the agreed time. This is a good activity for everyone from solo travellers to families, and by the end of the tour you’ll have a great appreciation for not having to drive in LA. Tips are encouraged but not expected and the driver does a great job navigating the traffic whilst also being the tour guide. At the start of the day, you are collected by a smaller bus from certain locations and driven to Santa Monica to board the van for the day’s tour. At the end of the tour the driver drops you back at the pick up point or you can elect to stay behind at the last stop (Hollywood) and do more sightseeing. Tip: remember your van number to get back on the right bus as there can be several vans from the company in the one location.Written 15 August 2019
- jhoudesh0 contributionsPerfect Tour of L.A. and surrounding HighlightsWe had a great experience. Tour was about 8 hours total, stopped at farmer's market for lunch. Every stop, we were given time to enjoy and explore attraction/sight. It was the perfect amount of time. We had a great time as a family, and the group on the bus was really fun. Our driver was really nice and pointed out where a restroom was at each stop in case someone was looking for it. We saw: Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Venice Canals, Griffith Observatory, Hollywood sign, Farmer's Market, The Grove, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Hollywood Boulevard, and much more as the driver pointed out places and landmarks along our way. He also told some of the history of places as we would pass or at red lights on our way. I HIGHLY recommend this tour if you are the type that wants to see it all in one day. We are the type that like to "go see" but not spend a large amount of time in one place. It was really fun and interesting.Written 8 July 2019

- tatianad2640 contributionsAll day LA tourWe would absolutely recommend this tour if you are looking for a good overview of LA in one day. The tour stopped at most famous landmarks and gave us time to explore. Our driver and guide, Colin, was extremely knowledgeable, gave good advice on places to visit once we were off the bus, answered all questions and made sure we stayed hydrated :) Thank you LA in A Day! We enjoyed the tour!!!Written 22 April 2019
- jonathanr6450 contributionsThe one to bookWe spent 4 days in Santa Monica for Easter break as part of a longer holiday. Didn’t fancy driving around the city myself so booked this for me and two older teenage kids. It’s a brilliant tour in a roomy bus that seats about 30 people. The tour visits all of the key landmarks and allows enough time to see what you need to at each one. John was our guide and he was super knowledgeable and had an easy going nature about him at the same time. It is a full day and we chose to depart from their office based in the main downtown area of Santa Monica. Leaves at 9.30am and drops back at about 5.30pm. The hour long stop for lunch at The Farmers Market was also just right and there are loads of food options to choose from. Great way to see LA.Written 21 April 2019
- 293suzieh0 contributionsGreat Tour!!First of all, we got stuck in traffic trying to make our way to meet the van for pick-up. We called customer service number on our ticket and explained. They were very cooperative and understanding. We were told to go to the second stop at Venice Beach and we would be fine to board with the group at that location. Kevin was our guide. He was super knowledgeable and helpful in pointing out interesting locations. He even told us the best restrooms to use at each location!! Each stop was just enough to take some photos or grab a souvenir. This tour is the perfect way to see Hollywood if you only have one day in the area. I will definitely tell my friends to book this tour if they’re visiting!Written 14 March 2019

Joe was our tour guide. Hopefully you dont get him. He is basically reciting a canned script, ignored or dismissed any questions. He made sure you knew that he acted in something recently, he appeared to be all about himself and very disinterested in his job. No enthusiasm at all was projected to his passengers. Once you are back on the bus you got info about where you had been. Venice beach was disgusting, the stop at the Santa Monica pier was for maybe 15 minutes. We didn't get the brochure map until about the third stop. The Beverly Hills stop was too long, no one is going to be shopping on Rodeo Drive. We covered a lot of ground and traffic. I would recommend choosing what you want to see and use mass transit or a ride share, this just isn't worth it.

We only had one full day in LA, a stopgap to break up 2 long flights.....This trip was perfect for myself and 3 teens (huge bonus points for the kids loving it too) to see the best LA had to offer in such a short time. Joe our tour guide was entertaining and knowledgeable pointing out all the interesting nooks and crannies of the City.
Definitely a better option for us than a hop on hop off tour where I wouldn’t know where anything was once off
Also Rodeo Drive was a stop not on all other companies itinerary
The ride was comfortable and the stops were frequent enough to not feel like you were in the bus for hours and the time at each stop was adequate
This tour would also be perfect as a taster to see what’s on offer and choose where to explore more of......10/10

I absolutely loved it, would recommend it to friends and family, and yes, I give it the high rating of 5 and higher if possible. Colin was the best and kept us informed of all the details regarding LA, Hollywood and all the theaters, comedy clubs, good eats, and fabulous clothing. Colin also knew the details of stars and artists, young and old as well as the houses of said group, old and new. Thank you "Day with LA" for a wonderful time and a special thanks to Colin. This lady from Pilly, PA, enjoyed every moment. 💕

Colin was an amazing tour guide! We had only one full day in LA and this was the best choice I could have made for our mommy daughter weekend.
Timing was communicated well in advance and pick up was right on time from our hotel. We toured Santa Monica pier, Venice broadwalk, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, had an hour lunch stop at the superb Farmers Market continued with Griffith Observatory from where we got some amazing LA city views and of course the $1000 picture with the “Hollywood” hill sign and we ended with the stop at Hollywood Boulevard.
The narration was spot on and the entire trip covered just the right tourist spots with enough time given to walk around, experience and take pictures. All the stops also had access to restrooms which was very thoughtful. I highly recommend this for anyone with just a weekend in LA or if you have more days, do this trip and then you can re visit the places you liked. Any which way this is a great summary of LA for any visitor.

The tour itinerary itself is great. Hotel pick up on time with a shuttle that holds up to 14 adults but should be limited to 12. Our driver took us up to the park close to the Hollywood sign. Our driver was also very knowledgeable of streets and short cuts. Then the questionable jokes started: bad women drivers, Mexicans (though he said he was Mexican himself, etc.) He also was unaware that Daylight Saving Time had occurred, so our trips to the beaches, Santa Monica and Venice, were 20 minutes each close to sundown. I’m glad I took the tour; I think it’s a great price and overall the driver did a good job. I just grew tired of the jokes and wish the timing were better.

If you’re looking for a fun, interesting, and very satisfying tour look no further than A Day in LA tour company. We booked a full day LA overview tour through Monica and the process was very easy. She was very pleasant and provided all the needed information. Our tour guide was Mike. This guy provided so many fun facts and interesting history of the area. We learned so much from him that day. He was so accommodating as well. My elderly father requires an electric scooter to get around so he helped us load it on the bus plus made sure we had easy access in and out of the stops. He was also very prompt. When he said he would be back in 40 minutes he meant EXACTLY 40 minutes. He was also flexible providing more or less time at the site depending on our desires. Mike also provided multiple chargers and bottled water. A very nice touch. A Day in LA tours provided my large family a supremely enjoyable time. Don’t hesitate to use them. They are a top notch company with a deep focus on customer service!

Just wrapped up our A Day in LA Tour with Lenny Holiday! First, Lenny was fantastic! Very friendly and informative. He knew his way around and was able to handle the LA traffic with ease! You won't be disappointed with Lenny as your guide.
Moving on to the tour itself. It was very good! It did bring you to all of the spots you'd want to see: Griffith Observatory, Hollywood Blvd, Rodeo Dr, and Santa Monica Pier. In there was a stop at the Farmer's Market for lunch. Lots to choose from to eat and an hour there was plenty of time to check things out, eat and get back to the bus. I do feel like the tour was missing something though. I think I would have liked a bit more time (maybe 30 more minutes) on Hollywood Blvd to allow for souvenir shopping. I personally would have liked a little time to walk on Sunset Blvd but time isn't unlimited and it's already a very long day so I get it. The tour is nice to see what you might want to go back and see again on your own time. The tour busses aren't allowed to drive through the Rich and Famous neighborhoods but that would have been nice to see...but again, we can just do that on your own.
Overall, the tour was very good! Lenny was Great! I did bring my 4 kids ages 10-16 so it was expensive for me. Perhaps if I was only paying for myself or just my wife and myself, then it would have been more worth it for sure. As it was, for me anyway, it was a $700+ day which included 6 tickets, lunch, and a tip (which Lenny was worth every penny for). So I guess if it was just my wife and I and I only spent $300, it's worth it. Either way, you only live once so go for it!

This tour includes travel to iconic sites in LA with several stops. You won’t be able to spend a lot of time at any one site but you will get to see what counts and probably see more if you did this on your own. Buses are smaller “van” type but are comfortable and air conditioned. Tour guide provided water and a wealth of information about sites as well as general information about state of California. Just be advised that seating is first come, first serve on the bus so you may not be able to sit together with your whole party. Other than that I feel it was well worth the money.

This tour was a great overview of the points of interest in downtown LA, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica. Lenny, our tour guide was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and took extra care to make sure we got pictures of all the top points of interest, and he provided a lot of background information of each area. We also enjoyed the coordinating musical selection Lenny provided during the drive time between Anaheim and points of interest!
This was our first time visiting the LA area, and would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who wants a good overview of the highlights and don’t want the hassle of driving!
