Escape the hustle of downtown Charlotte and enjoy the serenity of nature at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, Carolina’s garden for all seasons.
Begin a leisurely journey through this natural wonder away at the Visitor Pavilion.
The gardens are plentiful. The Four Seasons Garden provides a symphony of colors, shapes and textures. The Cottage Garden showcases the sweet scents of heirloom plants, popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Canal Garden includes a 100-yard-long water feature, framed by a fountain at each end with new colors every season. That’s only a small sampling.
The Orchid Conservatory is the Carolina’s only glass house—8,000 square feet under five stories. Dedicated to the display of orchids and tropical plants, it’s a display of living, growing and ever-changing exhibits.
Before leaving, be sure to stop by the Garden Store, featuring a unique blend of local wares and botanically themed treasures.
