Really great experience with these guys! Lee was an excellent teacher for my family members who hadn't kayaked in a while, and set a great example and pace for the group. Knew exactly when to chip in with facts, conversation, or paddling advice and when to just let us enjoy. Very observant and obviously clued into safety. Kayaks were nice, and stayed almost totally dry with the provided spray skirt. Traveled 5 miles (return) down Akaroa harbor and back, seeing lots of amazing geologic features, fur seals, sea birds, and even a blue penguin.

I had such a wonderful time, the tour was informative and the waters were really calm. Lucia took time to point out wildlife along the way and we even slow paddled along the shore, where she pointed out sea stars! There is no way we would have been able to spot on our own. Thanks!

Shout out to our guide John who was awesome and told us all the cool facts we wanted to know about the animals and reserve. I also know it’s not guaranteed but my friend and I were lucky enough to see all the sea birds, as well as all three: penguins, seals and dolphins!! And all were quite close to us!! One of the dolphins even swan along with us and road the bow of our kayak! It was so cool and we had such a good time. I highly recommend this early morning adventure, especially if you have some time and want to do something early before a long day of driving like we did :)

We really enjoyed our sea kayak tour (11.30 tour). Our guide, Lee, was knowledgeable, experienced, and safe, but also fun and unobtrusive. As novices in our 50's and 60's we felt very comfortable being out on the water with Lee.

Sean and Lucia the guides were fantastic. Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Paddle was pretty easy as we kept mostly close to shore and conditions were pretty good. Life jackets and kayaks looked a little worn but everything worked and were comfortable. Originally booked for the more expensive sunrise paddle but offered afternoon tour due to weather. Still waiting for reply or refund for difference, communication gone silent so…🙅‍♀️

Both guides were FANTASTIC and FUN. Organized and professional with a great sense of humor. Thank you for a great kayak experience this morning. I loved the education about the birds. The volcano was amazing lols. Cheers Matty

Had a fantastic time on my tour of Akaroa Harbour and was so excited to see the Hector's dolphins! My guide Jon was incredibly knowledgeable about the local area including the history, both Maori and European, and the plants and animals. He kept up morale during some very windy paddling as well. Thanks for a memorable afternoon!

Great experience. Super easy to deal with over booking. Greville was a great mixture of expert guide and lively company. The bikes were excellent and the views spectacular! Highly recommended.

Today on Akaroa waters was a fabulous experience with guide John. He got us on to the water with a minimum of fuss. The weather (high tide, low wind, moderate temperature) was in our favour. With informative commentary, He took us to the sea mouth of the bay via sea cave and an “escort “ from some playful and rare (for the planet) Hector dolphins. Brilliant !!

The guided tour was great fun. John our guide put us at ease straight away. Saw numerous sea birds but the icing on the cake, the hector dolphins. Would highly recommend, a great way to spend the morning.

Our guides John and Lee made the event fun and interesting with their humour, local knowledge and general banter, particularly for a novice kayaker. Paddling into the head wind was a great challenge; however, we were congratulated on our efforts by Lee and John who were both encouraging and reassuring. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this event, despite the fact that the dolphins 🐬 weren’t playing the game.

Kayaking with John and Lee was absolutely great. They can inform us about all what we saw. We saw a lot of animals - seal, dolphins, birds. We also got into the cave during our kayaking. Many thanks for adventure!
