Goulash (with a B) was the most wonderful guide I've met in a long time. He really knew his history, was engaging, very witty and funny and took care of us as a group. I would DEFINITELY recommend this company as they are fabulous!!!!!

The meeting point was well described and easy to find. Our guide (Bolash) had a little flag which helped you keep track of him and was excellent at English. He gave us a brilliant run down of Hungarian history to start with and then set a moderate pace as we moved from one area of interest to the next. He provided a lot of useful information about the history of statues etc and kept us all laughing as well. He was also very helpful with any questions about Budapest in general - how to use the public transport, landmarks to see etc. and was a qualified tour guide. He was a volunteer so he only asked for however much you could donate/felt that the tour was worth as a tip at the end. Despite it starting to rain about halfway through our tour it was still a brilliant experience and gave us a great glimpse into the history around us. I would recommend it to anyone as a great way to start your trip to learn a little more and help see some of the main sights while learning about them as well.

We didn’t know what to expect, but Dora welcomed us warmly and immediately won us over with her cheerful demeanor. From her very first explanations, it was clear that she was capable of conveying the maximum amount of information in the shortest time and in the most charming way. The tour took us 1 hour and 40 minutes through the Jewish Quarter, and the entire time it felt like we were in the company of a highly educated, approachable, and warm-hearted person. The whole tour was super interesting and informative. Endre made the whole experience a lot better with a bunch of cool myths, historical facts and suggestions. Highly recommended.

The tour was fantastic, and Odea was a brilliant tour guide. She shared lots of history and interesting facts while making us laugh a lot. Very charming and engaging. This was our second walking tour in Budapest and this was by far the better one.

Our guide who referred to himself as Goulash (because the group found it hard to pronounce his name)was exceptional - his articulation was clear, and he had a way of keeping the group engaged and focused throughout.
