- Obsasnikovav0 contributionsDo not miss beer bath while in BudapestAmazing experience to have a beer spa with unlimited beer. We had such a good time chilling in hot water and drinking delicious beer. Lovely staff, explain to us everything we needed to know, to fully enjoy our experience. The bath was little bit too hot for us but we cooled down and come back to it. Would definitely go again.Written 9 January 2025
- Spooner50 contributionsGreat experience that all must try!Great experience! It was the highlight of the day! Loved how the staff explained the process of checking in and where to go for our beer bath. All you can drink beer and plenty of good tunes! They also so kindly took photos of us while in the tuns! Would recommend to all!!! Its a must!Written 5 January 2025

- GoPlaces312560191700 contributionsExpensive but very funVery interesting concept. Very clean and the staff is very helpful. Very expensive for what you are getting… unless you plan on drinking 100 beers in the 45 minutes you have.Written 30 December 2024
- fluffythecat0 contributionsFun drinking beers in the hot tubWe arrived early and spent some time in the other pools which was great. The swiling pool was so much fun and would highly recommend for all age groupsWritten 6 December 2024
- dizzyMITCHELL0 contributionsA must! The best experience ever!Outstanding! The customer service was excellent and they explained everything so we knew what to do! A must trip! I would say it was the best thing we done whilst in Budapest! An incredible experience and one that I will never ever forget! Loved and enjoyed every second of it!Written 4 December 2024
- Q897QAamandaj0 contributionsGreat time!Such a fun thing to do! Beer was good and the bath tubs were larger than they look! Ac unit was in the room which definitely helped. I do wish the experience was at least an hour but it is totally worth doing; we didn’t want to leave!Written 2 December 2024
- Anne Y0 contributionsGood for the skinA must do in Budapest! I believe there is a misconception that the tub is filled with beer—which to some is not very appealing. The tub is filled with minerals, hops, ingredients used to make beer. When they said “good for the skin” I was on it! (Or in it!) It is true though that there is unlimited Hungarian beer on tap— which was very cold, and refreshing in contrast with the hot tub. One must purchase the combination ticket with allows you to get into the Széchenyi Thermal Spa. A once in a lifetime experience, believe me, I’ve been to lots of spas all over the world. Do not forget to bring a towel and slippers. The ticket also grants you a private dressing room which you can lock and leave your things. I took my camera, walked around (the spa is massive!), took all sorts of interesting pictures, then returned and left my towel, phone and jacket so I can freely go in and out of the pools. I stayed the whole day. I had a wonderful time!Written 28 November 2024
- Mrslaura-b30 contributionsGreat experienceGreat experience clean , private, staff very friendly and informative in the Beer Spa. Staff in the thermal bath area not so friendly and locals take towels and belongings if u leave them on the benchesWritten 23 November 2024
- Graham B0 contributionsGreat relaxing dayInitially some might say this is an expensive ticket. Trust me it’s not. It’s worth every penny. To sit in a hot bath of beer infused water, drinking unlimited beer with snacks is to say the least, a unique experience. And to top it all, your skin feels great afterwards. You then spend as much time as you want in the main spa. Amazing. If you’re in Budapest, do this. It’s that simple.Written 18 November 2024
- 416veral0 contributionsAmazing experienceOur visit to Széchenyi Thermal Baths was a highlight of our time in Budapest. We booked the Beer Spa and once stepped into the warm, mineral-rich water infused with the hops, malt, yeast and beer salt, we felt instant relaxation, and the stress just melting away. The baths are even more beautiful in person than in photos; the Neo-Baroque architecture is stunning, with grand columns and detailed statues all around. I felt like I was in a palace! The outdoor pools were magical, especially in the cooler weather. Being in the steamy, warm water with fresh, crisp air all around was such a unique and refreshing experience. I tried a few different pools, each at a different temperature, and loved finding my perfect spot to just soak and unwind. The whole place was well cared for, and you could tell they take pride in making it a wonderful experience. If you’re in Budapest, you have to visit Széchenyii, it’s such a special place!Written 11 November 2024
- Anastasija P0 contributionsgreat for relaxingThe Beer Spa and Széchenyi Bath experience was fantastic! The beer spa was a unique and relaxing way to unwind, with plenty of beer to enjoy while soaking in the warm, therapeutic waters. Széchenyi Bath was equally impressive, offering beautiful architecture and a range of thermal pools. The only downside was the crowds at the baths, but overall, it was a fun and rejuvenating experience. Highly recommend for a memorable day in Budapest!Written 9 November 2024
- Aidan R0 contributionsSoak, Sip, and Sink InThermal Beer Spa in Budapest isn’t just relaxation—it’s an experience that hits all the senses. Imagine soaking in a tub of warm, mineral-rich water infused with hops, malt, and herbs while you have your own tap of ice-cold beer right beside you. It’s indulgent and totally unapologetic. The scent of hops lingers in the air, blending with that steamy, mineral heat, creating an atmosphere that’s both luxurious and rustic. You’re unwinding, you’re sipping, and you’re living it up in a way that’s equal parts old-world European charm and bold, modern decadence.Written 7 November 2024

Went to Lukacs Thermal Beer Spa on the Sunday of our trip. It was really relaxing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. You have a staff member meet you at the front of the beer spa and then tell you about the spa itself.
Sat in your own bath with unlimited beer on tap is the perfect way to calm your legs after a heavy day sight seeing the day before.
Definitely worth heading a little outside of the city centre at Lukacs Baths as it was definitely quieter which meant you could enjoy the main spa facilities a bit better too.

We emailed the morning of our potential visit despite it looking unlikely and their booking system having them as full.
Sofia promptly replied and told us to come down and she would squeeze us in. We went down to the baths and despite an issue with the baths and them charging us £140 and taking us up to the champagne spa (Quickly sorted out and not at all related to the beer spa!)
We had a great time and we’re offered an individual tub for 34k FT each or a shared tub for 30k FT each. We opted for the shared and we’re given very polite and accommodating service as-well as unlimited beer.

This was such a fun experience! Once there we got to choose between two separate tubs or if we wanted to share one. We got one each and in between us was the beer tap that we were more then happy to keep pouring ourselves beers for 45 min. The bath itself was nice and we got a 2 minutes explanation by the staff on the different components of the beer ingredients they poured in the bathtubs. They even gave us the opportunity to taste the different beer powder ingredients before making our baths. This was fun, informative and very short which was good cuz we aren’t in a museum so a long explanation would have bored us. But what we got was perfect.
The bath was warm and we were sweating in the damp baths, but it felt good. After our time was up the staff came back in out room and informed us that we could finish our beer outside on the bench which we did. Very nice. I managed to drink 3 beers, but my bf had well over 7. So you can really drink as much as you can. We then showered and changed clothes.
My skin was soft and fresh, and did not smell of beer.
I would do a beer bath again!

First of all, i would like to state that there are two different locations. Something that maybe wasn't too clear to me from their website. We ended up at the smaller one which is Lukacs . To call it luxurious is a great overstretch. The atmosphere wasn't warm and inviting and the place itself looks old and gives out hospital vibes. Overpriced for sure! As you pay to use the other facilities and there aren't that many. Take into account all the people there and i would say that the other location which is more expensive might be a better option. They also don't mention that you need to either bring or buy your own towels and slops. For 70 plus dollars this is unacceptable. Finally, i tried to speak to two different members of staff and their answer was they don't speak English. We only enjoyed it because we were a fun group , definitely don't recommend though .

The spa we had seen on Tik Tok as being a good alternative to the more popular out of town spa. It is a little tired in areas but well worth a visit for a range of different spa temperatures inside and out. The building is more like a maze so good luck finding your way around as we saw no maps but there are two outside pool areas. Swimming in one area is only with the use of swimming hats which we were told firmly by a guest. Everything else does not require hats. There are three hot pools inside but could be more. The beer tubs are in a separate area and not included in all access fee.

Lovely and relaxing. The bath smells amazing and the beer is delicious. You even get snacks! You can get your own tub or share a tub with your travel companion. When we went the place was empty and we could close the door and relax in private. There are lovely green tiles and soft lighting and the staff are so nice and quite hilarious. At the end the staff offered to take photos and email them and we left feeling very relaxed and happily tipsy. Definitely recommend.

The experience was totally different. Something which was unique to Budapest. The staff was warm and receptive to us even though we reached 10 mins late due to traffic. The whole beer bath experience was excellent with unlimited beer during the session. The water temperature can also be adjusted. We met some good friends and we had a good time enjoying music during the session.
The only negatives were that the cost for buying towels are 5000 HUF / each towel. Also the quality for the after shower products (shower gel/ shampoo/cleaner shower areas) can be improved.

Great experience would recommend! Place is really clean and staff are friendly. We did the private beer bath experience -you’re not completely closed off, there are rope screens in between each set of tubs but it still feels private. Free beer on tap was also a great perk! There is no option for renting towels so take your own or it’s around £9 to buy one. I booked it as it came up as one of the must-do things in Budapest and it was definitely worth it.

Beautiful experience, very relaxing! Great welcome... the whole procedure of bathing in the midst of salts, hops, etc. is explained to you! Too bad it's only for 45 minutes... I'd say that for the price they could even do a full hour. But it is also true that even after you have finished, if you want to drink another mug of beer they allow you to do so and then give you time afterwards to shower, go to the bathroom there, change in the changing rooms and dry your hair if you have wet it. .
They also leave you a lot of privacy, dividing the tubs with wooden booths... they come to check only once if the water temperature is ok or we want it regulated

The description and reviews are misleading. Is this at Széchenyi or lukacs?
I want to buy a combo beerspa and entrance to Széchenyi— is that what this is?
