He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tour feel personal by sharing stories about the city’s history and culture. The ride was comfortable and gave us the perfect opportunity to see Budapest up close at a relaxed pace.Written 12 February 2025

- 65johnboy0 contributionsGo and do this tour….best way to see the city. This is a must do activity in Budapest, you will not be disappointed. Our guide, (Paul) was polite and had a great passion for the history and what are the must see sites of this fabulous city. He showed us sites that we would have either not found or walked past without a second thought. E.G. did you know about the teddy bear on the old TV centre? Or Kermit the frog? The ruin house was a real experience.Written 10 February 2025
- ZippoBub0 contributionsAmazing way to see the cityBen was our tour guide and it was absolutely perfect! He tailored the tour to us and what we wanted to see. With some amazing hidden gems we'd never have seen without him! He was so polite and knowledgeable. With blankets to keep warm on the tuk tuk 😊 we'd highly recommend this experience!Written 2 February 2025
- dharrell20000 contributionsA little cold but a lot of funIt was fun but a little chilly and blankets were provided we got to go to all the unique places in Budapest on both sides and Norbert was an excellent host we were very happy to have him along to guide us everywhere we would highly recommend this tour and if you go in the winter time make sure you bundle upWritten 15 January 2025
- sallyduncan9570 contributionsGreat way to get aroundOk - so I thought I’d feel a bit silly driving around Budapest in a Tuk Tuk, but it was great fun. Our guide Zoltan was excellent, clearly proud of the city and full of information to give us a bit of insight into the history of Hungary and Budapest. He left us time to get out and stretch the legs to look closer at certain sites where we wanted to. Highly recommendedWritten 10 January 2025
- silviaz2080 contributionsExcellent way to view the cityOur tour was amazing from the beginning to the end. We were 2 couples and traveled in 2 tuk tuks all around the city. Peter and Greg were absolutely the best! Timely, professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. They spoke great English. They both are a true pleasure and we can confidently say "this is the way to see and learn " about this gorgeous city. Thank you Peter and Greg for this wonderful tour.Written 8 January 2025

- TheRealBjoernK0 contributionsHighlight in BudapestIf you like sightseeing, then you should definitely go on the Budapest Tuk Tuk Tour. It’s a unique combination of seeing a lot of different highlights throughout the whole city, while having your personal guide and chauffeur and traveling between places in a very convenient way. Our guide Peter was great! He is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions! Looking to coming back!Written 2 January 2025
- steve D0 contributionsGreat Driver not so great TUK TUKThe driver Zoltan was very good, very knowledgeable and interesting he has a great love of Budapest which comes out in his commentary. This is why I have scored 4 stars. The poor part of the tour was the fact the TUK TUK kept breaking down and had to be pushed into safe areas. This was quite scary at times being stuck on main roads with traffic passing by quite close. We had to finish 25 minutes before the end of the tour as it would not start. For the price of the tour you would not expect this to happen. Zoltan was apologetic and I think embarrassed at this point. Maybe it was a bad day however I would not have felt safe at these points if I had children with me.Written 28 December 2024
- sirjackal00020180 contributionsAn amazing adventureWe took the Budapest Tuktuk tour 2.5 hrs with Gabriella plus free boat ride on the Danube River. She picked us up at our hotel and let thr adventures start. Even though it was cold, she had blankets for us and had a roof cover on the Tuktuk. She was very and knowledgeable of the city. While driving, she was giving us a history talk on places we passed by, including going over the 3 popular bridges. We had several stops for photo taking and get a little history lesson. We were very impress of her and enjoyed the whole ride. At the end of tour, she took us anywhere we wanted so we stopped at the best Christmas Market stop. Later, we got our voucher for the boat ride and took it on the next day. They provided us a free drink and tea. Cool ride seeing the sites. What you will see Start from a Tuk Tuk point or Pick up Your hotel Andrássy Avenue Hungarian State Opera House Short stop at Heroes’ Square Széchenyi Spa The old "Jewish district" Great Synagogue "Petite Paris" Great Market Hall Liberty Bridge The secessionist Gellért Bath Short stop at the Citadel or Short stop at The Philosopher's Garden The Castle Garden Bazaar Chain Bridge The Castle District Short stop at Matthias Church - Fisherman’s Bastion Margaret Bridge Short stop at The Government district & The ParliamentWritten 25 December 2024
- 139chani0 contributionsFun times 10!David was great. We were taken to places, Cave Church as an example, that bus tours couldn't fit! He explained, in depth, the many places we visited that gave an understanding we otherwise would not have known adding value to the visit. Plus it was a lot of fun! - 226deborahc0 contributionsTotally brilliant - NOT to be missed!!Our Tuk Tuk ride was the most AMAZING experience during the whole of our visit to Budapest. Our driver and guide, called Robert, was simply brilliant. He took us to the most beautiful sites of the city and showed us around wonderful places of interest. He was very charming, thoughtful and informative. We saw the most memorable sights, and had a FANTASTIC ride. This was the most special event we have had the privilege of encountering during a city break. We not only recommend it. We suggest you do NOT miss a Tuk Tuk ride!! Simply superb.Written 20 December 2024

Robert picked us up very close to our hotel and asked what we wanted to see. We had already been on a couple of other tours through Viking so we told him what we had already seen. He came up with a perfect plan. We went up to the top of a hill near the Citadel and Liberty statue on the Buda side and had an amazing view of the Danube and the Pest side while he gave us a history lesson. We then went to the Unicum distillery for a tour and tasting. It was very interesting and we even liked the product. The president of the company parked his car as our tour ended. He was gracious enough to have his picture taken with us. Next Robert took us inside the gorgeous Anantara Hotel and New York Cafe. What a treat! We then rode on a street with many stately mansions on our way to a peaceful park where the Anonymous Writer statue is. We stopped in Heroes' Square where Robert gave us another history lesson. You can tell that he is very proud of his country and wants to share it with visitors! On the way back to our hotel we drove along Andrassy Avenue passing by many upscale shops. Robert dropped my husband back off at the hotel and then was willing to drop me off at St Stephen's Cathedral on his way back to the office. This Tuk Tuk tour was the highlight of our Danube cruise and 3 day stay in Budapest vaation. Thank you Robert and Tuk Tuk Tours.

Cannot recommend this enough. First time in Budapest for both of us and we wanted to start our first full day here with a four hour tour of the city. Robert pulled up to our hotel in the tuk tuk promptly and he had blankets to keep us warm, since it was around 10 degrees centigrade. He asked us what we were interested in and how he could cater the tour to what we wanted to see and we told him we were interested in hearing about the culture and history, including the arts and architecture. From there, he gave an in depth history and some of his own personal experience along with stopping at locations and showing us things not many have seen. He was very adaptable and got us great coffee and pastries along the way and was very animated and excited to share his culture with us. We found a lot of great recommendations for restaurants and bars and cafes and fine arts and general places to walk around or take a second look at later. If it wasn’t for Robert, we would not have known a lot of what we eventually did here. Please support people like him keeping the history and culture alive. It’s the little things that amount to the big things, and Robert made a big impact on our experience here.

This was what I chose as the best way to introduce my friend and I to Budapest ...
I love quirky but personal tours and this fitted the bill perfectly.
It was all arranged very last minute, literally and we got on/off the plane ... Good personal communication from the main booking contact.
The driver was waiting for us as expected... We went for a whizz around Budapest... Seeing a lot of key places.
Stopping off mid way at the unicum museum... An interesting way to spend an hour or so. At least we got a good taster..
Whilst interesting.. it wasn't my cup of tea in terms of product/drink and with hindsight.. I'd rather have another hour in the tuk tuk!
That's only a preference.
Our guide Berci was a nice fella who kept us informed and entertained - a very personable chap.
In summary, this is probably the best Intro to Budapest as it allows a flash through some key sites that you can go back to, like we did.
The tuk tuk gets many pointed fingers and smiles as you drive past.
A small guide map of where you are going would be a useful idea.
Thanks!! Craig & Rob
