    Fantastic experience!
Tour guides were great, very knowledgeable and engaging! Loved seeing the city from the bus and the stops were well placed. Only recommendation: purchase Parliament tickets in advance…or collect passports on bus and hand out tickets as people disembark bus. It was very chaotic and disorganized, which resulted in a lot of time trying to figure out where 4 tickets went.

Awesome guide on a safe informative tour
The tour was excellent and touched all the main attractions we wanted to see. Our only regret was not booking the additional parliament tour. This tour stops at the parliament and you can take photos from outside, but the inside tour is separate. Our driver, Zsolt, was a very safe and cautious driver that kept us on time. Our guide, Anna, was the best. Her narration was not only informative but she had a great sense of humor and shared funny stories and jokes. Not sure if you can request a specific driver, but if so, I recommend Anna.

A bit rushed as a tour but a great service and very informative. Great to do if you have little time
Was a lot of fun. Quite quick to each place. And a busy bus of people. However this was what I expected under the circumstances and the guide was fantastic. It's a great way to get your bearings and decide what you would like to revisit. Our guide was very informative and helpful. They assured tickets to the parliament building when none were available on line.. All in all a great service.

    Great guide and great experience
Our guide was very knowledgeable and approachable. We didn't have booking for parliament house which I would recommend. The cruise was good too. There is a 30 min walk from the end of the tour to the cruise.

Incredible! Still feeling like living in a fairytaie.. Must do!
Amazing tour with tons of history. Two mums plus 2 teenage sons we truly thought this is a brilliant way of seeing beautiful Budapest. We had sunshine and happy vibes with our english speaking guides. Both very knowledgeable and happy to help in any way. We are lost for words to describe Parliament.. simply breathtakingly u n r e a l !!! Staff in office also very happy to help, German and English speaking.

    Mini bus tour of city
In theory, it's an ideal way to see the sites of the city. However, the vehicle was cramped, fast, and not a lot of photo opportunities. The guide was clear and knowledgeable, but I wouldn't say it was worth the fee in all honesty. The communication from the company was top class as they had to change the date due to the national holiday in Hungary.

    Taken advantage of
Did not think this was value for money. Although we were at the pickup 30 minutes early, the guide left without us 10 minutes before departure time. He had to come back and then wait for another four who were all on time. The bus trip was four hours round trip with a one hour boat ride. Nothing special scenically or historically about the trip or the cruise. Guide took us all to a restaurant of his choosing with no other choices close. Most expensive meal I have had in four weeks. Two entrees, coke and beer $57. Filled in a lot of time walking past old homes and small markets. Had to refuel on the way home because we started the tour with half a tank and driver didn’t refuel when we were on the boat, at lunch or walking the markets. We were away for 9 hours for what was effectively a one hour cruise.

A great 4 day trip to Budapest
Really beautiful architecture in Budapest. The Hop on Hop off bus is worth doing for a fast orientation and lots of information. Certainly the night time boat trip on the Danube is a must to see the beautiful buildings enhanced by all the lights. I would recommend doing some walking around the city especially around the smaller streets. Lots of nice places to eat at reasonable prices.

    Almost happy
Meeting place was easy to find. We were disappointed with the fact that they did not have QuietVox or equivalent that we could all hear the guide when walking about. Secondly it was very unorganized when getting tickets for the Parliament tour. If we had not insisted on getting the tickets in hand we would have missed our time slot for entry. When we checked in they should have checked the passports for non EU or EU. And lastly it says on the ticket that our drop off would be at city Rama office where they picked us up but instead they left us at the Parliament building. The guides were great by the way.

Good value in heat of Summer
This was very good value. Especially in the extreme hot weather. We usually would have done a waking tour. But it was too hot ( 33c). Andrea did a great job. The small bus was air conditioned and we got to see the main sights in the city with a live guide who spoke English. Thank you for a great 3 hours.

Private Trabant tour - just brilliant!
Booked private 3 hr Trabant tour via river cruise company (linked to Cityrama). Communication prior to day was excellent and directions to meet at office perfect. Receptionist at office was lovely and most welcoming. Very personal tour, just the right amount of history explained and husband’s drive of the car was memorable! Tour guide was a very lovely man - nothing felt rushed and his navigation through the city streets was brilliant fun. Would we recommend ? Absolutely.

    Great Tour!
Excellent! Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting and answered all questions asked of him on the tour. It was a large group which can sometimes be challenging but he handled it like a pro. I would highly recommend this tour. The Parliament tour was great and well worth the price. He also takes great photos!

Lovely way to spend a day and learn.
This tour was a great way to get an overview of Budapest as a city of two halves. I personally loved the Budai side the most. Our bus was good and the driver and tour guide had excellent knowledge and I got a good history lesson on Hungary turbulence over its time. The information given when asked questions was great. The boat trip at the end of the bus tour was lovely and relaxing. I enjoy the tour.

Took the Danube Bend tour with Vera the guide, and Peter the driver. I must say I came to Hungary to connect with my heritage and culture, as my parents immigrated to Canada in 1956. This tour was way above and beyond my expectations. Peter was very funny, courteous and professional. Vera was amazing! Her knowledge of history, the who, what, when and why, was extremely informative and captivating. I felt transported back in time, standing in the historical spots, that her stories brought to life. I felt like I was experiencing Hungary with two good friends, and had the Magyar blood stirred within me. I highly recommend Cityrama Tours for the best experience at the best value!

The tourist guide is very good, fluent in English and Spanish. The itinerary arrangement is fine. But highly recommended to come between May and September. November is cold you may meet rainy or cloudy weather, and no river cruise in the Danube.
All the stops are good except the lunch in Siraly restaurant in Visegrádi is terrible. Maybe it's because the only opened restaurant in that small town, at least in Nov 2023. Waiting for food to be served and eating spent all the 1 hour. No room for the "Panoramic view from the fortress". With this service, they still take a 10% service fee without asking. In Bratislava, they took the basic price first, and then I gave the tip later, which I feel more respected.

This is a full day tour with lots of walking involved. We left the tourist office at 9.10 am and finished the tour at 6.30 pm at the pier where the boat docked.

We were a small group, nine people and guide Stephan. Though elderly, he was fit and knowledgeable about the history and details of the countryside we passed thru. Very considerate and helpful: he got me an icepack to put on my knee as i had fallen on some cobble stones. He spoke in Spanish and English.

The views across from Slovenia and Hungary were very beautiful. The countryside is green and clean . Szentendre where we had the final stop is a pretty town and an amazing museum devoted to Marzipan sculptures ! Some of them are incredible and all are awesome. Unbelievable that these are from marzipan.

The lunch stop at Visegrad was a bad choice. The restaurant Siraly was bad. Surly too-busy waiters, cold tasteless food, and refusal to give a bill as "we are part of a group and no tax paid". They took a very long time to take the order and to serve the food. Bad choice.

The cruise for nearly 90 minutes was pleasant and enjoyable. No stops anywhere.
In conclusion, definitely worth going on the trip as you see a new country, beautiful scenery and learn a lot of the past history.

Before booking this tour, check whether works at Esztergom Basilica are complete, as it's undergoing such major restoration works that everything other than the altar painting was either covered up or pulled up. It was basically the tour of a building site after which we walked across the terrace to see the view of the Danube.

At Visigrad, the restaurant was mediocre. Szentendre was very commercialised but pretty, better to have lunch there to have more time to walk around.

Thank You for choosing our programme to be a part of Your travel plans, and sharing Your opinion with us! Despite the changing closures at the basilica in Esztergom, our expert guides are trying to show guests the best side and interesing history of this iconic attraction, that should not be missed on a tour to this area. Hoping that You took some valuable memories with You, kind regards, Anita

The buse and amentities were great. Yolanda is an exceptional tour guide. But the trip was not worth the price. Estergom was a real dissaopintment- the basilica has been under construction for years, and it is hardly worth seeing. Visegrad we saw from a distance only, did not stop there to see the fortress or ruins. Szentendre was OK- quite a bit smaller than described. The danube bend itself was amazing. Overall a bit of a disappointment

The tour had both English and Spanish interpretations concurrently. Can be slightly confusing especially when you have a bigger tour group who needed to wait for the guide to finish, but the guide did such an amazing job!! The stories are great, but the views could have been better due to a gloomy/foggy day (not the agency's fault). Lunch service at the recommended hotel could be better managed, as we had to wait quite a while for the food which lessened our time to explore the place. Otherwise, the overall experience is good.

Sadly this tour was a complete waste of money. We ended up on a bilingual tour with Spanish and English. Unfortunately for the 4 English customers we missed most of the commentary from our guide because she spoke mostly in Spanish and when she did speak in English the other customers were laughing and talking so you couldn’t hear what was being said or going on. Most tours I have been on I have learnt a lot about the history of the area we visited but this one I learnt nothing and felt very disconnected. The bus was supposed to have air conditioning in it and it didn’t seem to work at the back of the van. My seat belt didn’t work either. The information I have from when I purchased the tickets said it would have a boat ride back. This didn’t happen and no explanation why not. The worst thing was there were some jokes happening in Spanish that we had no idea what they were laughing at. So all in all I was really disappointed and would recommend before you purchase see if it is a bilingual tour or not.

Very interesting visits and beautiful places. Very qualitative guide.
Suggestion: remove the lunch stop at this pointless restaurant which is a waste of time and the weak point of this day (great waste of time for not much - industrial and tourist at will). Go straight to Sentendre to really enjoy this beautiful village before dark and eat (freely) on site. This will make the shopkeepers of this art village work and deserve to spend time there.

Be aware; it is NOT a boat trip! Once we got over that disappointment and entered the minivan (with airco, that was perfect with 36+) from Gyuri we had a wonderful day full of storys, facts and beautiful sights.

Gyuri was the best. He had an immense knowledge and the stories about his childhood neighborhood and all the local facts about the places we visited was absolutely wonderful!! Thank you!!

This trip visits Esztergom, Visegard and Szetendre by bus and returns to Budapest by boat. It was a cold and rainy day, so the views were not great the entire day. In Esztergom we crossed the bridge from Hungary into Slovakia to get a good view of the Basilica and then crossed back to visit the Basilica. Poor planning as it was a Sunday so there was a service and we were unable to enter the Basilica. From there were went to Visegard where we had a disappointing lunch, but good views, BUT we did not even go to the fortress which was to be a highlight. Then onto the old town of Szetendre where we had far too much time to shop and in a tourist trap more expensive than in Budapest itself. Then a pleasant boat ride back. Our main takeaway is that with only a few days in Hungary this 9 hour trip was not the best way to spend a day and left us with few added memories or experiences to show for it. We could certainly have used our time better had we not planned this trip
