- skibreaks0 contributionsThe best way to see LjubljanaWhat a fantastic way to see this beautiful city. Our guide was knowledgeable, very enthusiastic and kept us entertained, he even gave helpful tips on what we should do with the rest of our stay and great local restaurants to visitWritten 17 August 2024
- soinic0 contributionsExcellent value for money!Upon arrival day we went to TIC where we bought the 3days LJU card for 49 Euro/pp. The friendly and knowledgeable young lady at TIC activated the card just before we took the incl. City walking tour/90min, which was in fact kind of private tour because we, as couple, were the only participants 😉 City tour was very interesting, excellent guide (Ana Maria?), plenty of information and also hints about restaurants, shops etc (would have costed 17 Euro/pp). The funicular ride (both ways) & full entry to the castle are also incl. in the card advantages (would have costed 16 Euro/pp). National museum of Slovenia (history&nature) was very interesting, incl. with card, otherwise 12 Euro pp The panoramic boat ride was very enjoyable, included/otherwise 14 Euro/pp Urban electric tram incl.otherwise 10 pp, was however a disappointment. The only terrible incl.visit (otherwise 10 pp), was the zoo 😱, it was heartbreaking to witness the animal abuse! Poor elephant, bears etc LPP city public transport is also incl. in the LJU card whic is a good deal/bargain and to recommend 🌞 With the card you can enjoy hassle free vacation ... visits, and you save money! Ljubljana is a gem of a city, so much to enjoy and to discover 🏞🏰Written 2 July 2024
- Gareth W0 contributionsGood tour for a snapshot of the cityGreat short walking tour of the city. They pack quite a lot of history in a short time. Guide Alan was great. Value for money is about right. Castle and funicular is a bonus add on.Written 29 June 2024
- Pekka010 contributionsNot my best walking tourWe were about 20. No radio system with headphones. Could not hear and members asking more than 3 times to speak up did not help. This 2h tour did not have a plot to make the tour a story. It was an endless count of details without a connection between.Written 11 May 2024
- florinc8990 contributionsDisapointing LjubljanaIt was dificlut to activate I was at the visit Ljubljana centre and they can t activate the card. Is not working on bus, they charged me extra. I think the card is overpricedWritten 5 May 2024
- A6984EGannah0 contributionsWould recommend first-time-visitorsWe booked this spontaneously 45 minutes before the start and had no problems. You could also buy the trip directly at the tourist Info, where you have to meet. We had a funny and lovely guide which name started with an M, but for the life of me i can't remember. She was knowledgeable, interacted with all the tour "members" - we were around 13 people -, and made us feel special (which is nice since the tour itself is not tailored and rather "standard-y", but that is totally fine for the price!!). We are very happy we did the tour and didn't just roam around aimlessly. For us, this being the first time in Ljubljana, it was a nice small walk with interesting information varying from architecture, history, general slovenian life to fun facts. Easy to digest info with an enthusiastic guide! Just be aware that even though it says you can bring dogs, they are not allowed on the funicular and in some buildings, so you'd have to miss out on those. If there was a "second part" with more in depth info or a bigger walking radius, we would book it for sure the next time!Written 6 October 2023

- Kathyleominster0 contributionsThe best way to explore Ljubljana! We are really pleased that we got the Ljubljana card because it meant we made the most of our visit. We went to the tourist information centre as soon as we arrived, we bought a 48 hour card and booked onto one of the activities so that we could activate the card and then immediately use it to get to our accomodation to check in ( it doesn't activate immediately on public transport but this method worked). We did the following activities with our card in addition to using it for all our public transport. Walking tour of the city - excellent Zoo - excellent Electric train - poor Bike hire - excellent Boat trip - good Castle and funicular railway - excellent We started with the electric train which enabled us to get our bearings but was slow and tedious and the headphones/ sound worked intermittently. ( This is my only negative experience if the card). The train could do with an update of its audio tour which felt very much like a promotional advertisement for the other attractions. We were grateful when the driver stopped so we could get off and not get back on again ( it only made two stops near the beginning and then didn't stop at the remaining scheduled stops or we would have bailed earlier). However, we really enjoyed everything else that was on offer. The walking tour was the stand-out excellent experience on the card and our tour guide combined historical knowledge with a warm and entertaining style, meaning that we felt we really got to know Ljubljana as a result of doing the tour. We finished the tour at the castle, so did that next ( the tour included the funicular so we ended up being able to do that twice). The castle is an interesting place to explore and we also enjoyed the views while we had a picnic. We had some time left at the end of the day so took a bus to the Oo where we very much enjoyed seeing the animals until it torrentially rained which brought our visit to a hasty end ( there were places to hide from rain but it was nearly closing time anyway) The second day we hired bikes and found the cyanometer and enjoyed the park and followed that with a boat tour. The boat tour was enjoyable but lacked shade so was a little longer than we wished in the heat of the day. All in all we got to know this lovely town much better than we would have done without the card. Really fabulous 48 hours!Written 13 July 2023
- Y5123FGkens0 contributionsWould not book with them again! This was an absolutely horrible experience. We ended up caught in traffic due to a large run that was going on in the city, so we knew we would be a few minutes late and started calling and trying to reach the organizers, but no one answered the line despite multiple attempts. When we reached the office and met the team, they shrugged it off and said they didn't know why the phone went unanswered. They informed us that the tour didn't exist for the day and that the only person who was available for a tour could only provide a short, truncated tour, as she had a "much larger" group coming soon. When we incredulously asked what we should do, they told us to reach out to Trip Advisor and request a refund before they were no longer available for the afternoon. It definitely seemed like they didn't care about us since our tour ended up only being two people - and obviously, they had this "much larger" group in mind. It was very disheartening and frustrating. Buyer beware!Written 8 May 2023

- josst19970 contributionsGreat for ToursitsI bought the 3 day (72 hour) card on my first morning in the city. There is so much you can do with it you definitely get your moneys worth. If your hotel is a little further from the city center, you get free bus travel with the card (the map is in the back of the brochure they give you), which saves you from walking, especially if its rainy, or extremely warm/sunny. There's a huge amount of attractions you can visit. It is definitely worth checking the website first, just to make sure they're open when you're visiting, as I saw that some were closed on Sundays and Mondays. Also, take advantage of the walking tour and the electric city train. These are great for seeing the city, especially when you first arrive, and give great ideas of where you could spend more time later in your trip. There's a great selection of museums as well, especially the National Museum of Contemporary History and the House of Illusions. On the 3 days, I only spent 2 in Ljubljana (1 in Bled), but I still felt that I got more than my money's worth. I would definitely recommend.Written 19 July 2022
- WvV10520 contributionsSee a lot with one cardMy wife and I bought the card while staying in Ljubljana and it was definitely worth the money. We would have spent a lot more on individual tickets if we didn't have it.Written 12 July 2022
- Chris J0 contributionsVisit of LjubljanaExcellent walk around of the city. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable with also a keen humorous streak. We had a nice snack of local cuisine at a pub RecommendedWritten 10 November 2019
- Charlotte20340 contributionsGreat food and hospitalityWe booked the night before, and expected a few other people, but we were the only ones on the tour! The food was delicious, we got to try 5 different dishes and some local wines (and a beer!). Our guide was great, she gave us lots of good information about the food we were trying and answered a bunch of questions we had about life in Slovenia. Definitely recommend food tours as a way to learn about a new place.Written 6 October 2019
- Howie860 contributionsExcellent brewery tour!Upon arrival to the brewpub I was greeted and served by friendly/knowledgable bartenders, and was able to have myself a preliminary beverage in a comfortable setting before embarking on the tour . Our tour guide Martin was very competent and friendly, and an overall enjoyable host with an obviously deep understanding of brewery workings and the history of this particular brewery itself - and he was able to provide samples throughout the tour. The previously used machinery, barrels and miscellaneous beer making stations were well preserved for viewing purposes as well. Bravo! I mean...Prosim! -HowardWritten 10 May 2019
